everyone has their different ways of looking at things. If I was living with bunch of vegeterian people I would not want to make them uncomfortable either. I find nothing wrong in what Amrita did.

I agree to your view point. I would have appreciated if at least one girl would have openly said (unless anyone did and was edited) I like to eat non-veg but will not as I do not want any one to feel uncomfortable.

True. but being on the opposite side of the boat, I was living with a bunch of non-veggies. I never had a prob with them cooking Chicken. I nfact I started cooking for them myself 😛

It just depends upon the person as u said. Couldn't agree more with u.

Bravo!!👏 One of my friends is a non veg and and even her husband is. But the hubby is raised vegetarian and his mom detests meat. There's is an arranged marriage. So when ever Mom visits son in US, they dont cook at home. Simply coz they are being considerate. None restricts if they eat outside. Part of it is that we adjust on certain things when living with people. My roomates were meateaters but they did not make meat coz i was vegetarian. I did not impose it, but they just thought it was cordial..😃

Perfangle , I toally agree with this. I wrote the same thing earlier , quoting it here. and Yes, I would also do the same thing, If I am a non vegetarian and if I was living with bunch of vegeterian people I would not want to make them uncomfortable , so would rather not eat non veg food.

Well, Amrita didnt say she will not eat chicken again in entire life. So nothing wrong in saying in the cofession room that she likes chicken.
May be she didnt want to eat on that particular day , considering the fact that MILs wont like / will be uncomfortable with the non veg food in the house. What is wrong with that thought process 😕

That is extremely nice of you! 😳 I wish i could be like that. I am quite picky about food. I would only eat chicken and beef. I have seen people (my friends and family) eat pigeons, turkey, other birds, ducks, deer, rabbits, lambs, oxtails which I can't imagine myself eating. I know there is nothing wrong with it but for some reason I don't even want to look at it. If it's thawing on the sink I don't want to go near it. If it's on the table I want it far away from my food (well just don't mix it with my food).
