Hiten Tejwani "I Salute Indian Army for their hardships and sacrifices. It's because of our army the neighboring countries are in control. It is that strong and secured base due to which India is considered one of the most powerful and safe country."

It might have been a while that actor Hiten Tejwani has teamed up with his wife on the popular ongoing tele-drama, Meri Aashiqui Tum Se Hi but the 40-year-old says that his kids are yet to see mom and dad on TV. The reason? Well, the five-year-old twins - son Nevaan and daughter Katya - are not yet allowed to watch television.
"It's actually been few months that Gauri and I are working together in Meri Aashiqui tum Se hi, and the kids know that we work together but they are not allowed to watch TV still. They are happy and excited though," says Hiten, who, after featuring in a slew of successful shows on television, is now kicked about his Bollywood debut in a lead role for the upcoming comedy drama, Thoda Lutf Thoda Ishq. Though the big leap has come late in his career, currently his hands are full with three releases lined up this year, one being alongside Bengali star Rituparna Sengupta.

Though the big leap has come late in his career, the 40-yearold's hands are currently full with three releases lined up this year, one being alongside Bengali star Rituparna Sengupta (left). Tejwani says that in spite of being a National Award-winning actor, Sengupta was the most humble co-star to work with.
"Working with Rituparna was a wonderful experience. Yeah, she is a big name in Bengal, but she had absolutely no airs about that or any arrogance for being a star. We had a blast shooting for the film," says Hiten, who's simultaneously seen playing a dad to a grown up girl on TV. Does he fear that this image might hamper his debut as a hero in films? "I don't think. People know me as an actor and I'm doing a role in which I'm a father," he insists.
