My Brief Description Of The PR Characters

Now that the show is ending in 2 weeks , it would be nice if we all put down our brief descriptions on how we view the main PR characeters ..

Manav - Preet introduced me to Sushant, Manav turned me into his fan.. his work as Manav will always be special to me, not just for acting but all the other things that came along with it.. be it for the recognition it got him in terms of awards and fan following, or for being one-half of ArMan or for giving him Ankita and us - Sushita to fangirl over!!...

Now for the character traits - I loved his love for Archana (and his shy smile and glances.. haaye ..) , his sense of responsibility and trying to do what is right .. I disliked that his sense of responsibility ended up being so skewed sometimes.. (god, I want to write more... but I am so outta touch with this... It has been ages since I have written something about Manav or Archana..)..


Archana - I feel that out of all the cast, she has probably felt the most attached to the show, and I am happy that after five years, Ankita looks so contented, happy, emotional and satisfied with her journey in this show as Archana.. I havent really seen too much work of hers as the older Archana, but going by the comments I have read here, she seems to have done a great job with emoting, body language et al. It makes me so proud to see her coming out of this show from a newbie to a polished and seasoned actor.
And oh.. she looked so gorgeous on the show

Now for character traits - I loved how completely and unconditionally she loved everyone in her life, how it has always been simple things that made her happy ...


Disliked .- .. She .. uh.. loved way too many people who turned parasitic for both her and Manav after a point..

Manav
A man of words, a man with self respect, honest, responsible,sincere and his unconditional love for Archana. Last but not the least, a man with the cutest smile ever.

Archana
Can do anything for her family and her love (Manav), pretty, wonderful homemaker, ready to bear anything for loved ones, very pretty, and a down to earth women. Sometimes foolishly emotional. Could have been better mother to her biological kids.

Savita
sometimes too harsh, outspoken, fighter, straightforward lady. loved taunting her husband (her life),later turned into a good decision maker.

Soham
The most unlucky character of the show, needed mothers love and care, could have been a very good human being, a good son, husband and father. Lucky to have wonderful kids.

Arjun
Was madly in love with Purvi, made foolish decisions, had to pay a lot for his mistakes.

Purvi
Aai's ladli beti, acquired almost all the characteristics of her mother, made , made useless sacrifices like her mother.

Naren
One of the most adorable character of this show, but when turned normal, became one of the worst character of his show, sometimes a very loving and caring father, but at the same time only prefers to give importance to his darling wife.

Ankita
Not only looks like her grandmother, nature wise she is exactly like her grandmom. The best sister for her siblings, to ffolish to love Naren, too unlucky to have a mother in law like Rushali, can be a lovely mother to her lovely daughter.

Mansi
A very sweet and simple girl, too inocent, lucky to have a husband like Shashank.

Shashank
Gem of a person, a very good friend, husband, son and father.

Rushali
Crazy for her sons, can do anything for her profit, very manipulative, evil person.

Pari
Always loves to stay with her grudges, never tries to think positive, destructive nature.

Aashi
The cutest, lovable,and the most innocent character of this show. She brought happiness in her father's life. Whenever she is around, everyone looks so happy. Deserves her mothers love.

My opinions about each of the characters is basically till the time their story was in focus, i.e. without taking generation leaps into account cos I think story/characters of previous generation got affected everytime a leap took place.

Manav- Super responsible, super caring, super honest, super loyal guy with a heart of gold, always tries to please everyone and so ended up falling in trouble many times and sometimes bit off more than he could chew. Wonderful son, husband, son in law and human being. Sometimes falls weak in front of his mother and has an inferiority complex, but can do anything for his loved ones.

Archana- Super caring, super devoted, heart is soft like butter and brain occasionally turns to mush😆.. very good housewife, respectful and devoted to a fault actually, inferiority complex and does not fight for herself which is a bad quality IMO.

(Actually Archana Manav share many traits but I think Manav was more rational many times and took hard decisions even when his heart didn't want to, whereas Archana was more emotional, and many times made decisions only to support Manav)

Savita Strong woman, saw the rough side of life and fought like hell and survived to give her children an upbringing as her husband was useless.. so her mentality was somehow of that sort- greedy, manipulative etc. as she had got conditioned to that cut throat world.. but she had a good and wise side too which shone many times.. very conservative.. though all of hem were responsible for Vandu's fate but somehow I feel Savita was a little more as she was the one whose worry of 'who will marry Vandu now' made Vandu take the step of marrying her..

Sulochna Good concerned caring mother, wanted the best for her daughter though slightly in her worry and urge to decide things for her daughters she made things more difficult for them.. very weak mother in law.. her attitude towards Manjusha was very wrong.. she should have been more strict.. somewhere she was always lenient to Manjusha when you compare it with Manav, even slapped him couple of times but never Manjusha

VarshaImpulsive, independent, practical and concerned for family and others but not mahaan from any angle.. thought about herself and her happiness too, and many times placed it first and foremost.. grey character as her impulsiveness, need for independence led to self centered actions many times and caused grief to all..

Satish Very nice man with rotten luck😆.. good son, good husband, good friend, good son in law.. sab kuch accha tha.. pragmatic yet not hard hearted.. very balanced character..

Hopelessly devoted to Naren .Beautiful , slefless and terribly foolish . She has had the worst life in all the heroines of PR .

Ovi

Spoilt brat turned a sensible mature woman . Obsessed with Arjun . Sensitive sould who got scarred because of her parent's problems .Good mother .

Mansi.

Lovely girl . Very devoted to her husband and her siblings . Strong girl who overcame a horrible crime like Rape and is now living a good life .Very lucky to have a husband like Shashank .

Pari

Full of grudges and negativity . Always seeing herself as a victim .

Sulochna

Loving mother but unfair to Archana ...a bit proud of her sanskaars ..She was very unfair to Manav in early shows .

Varsha

Straight talking and no nonsense character . An interesting character turned wrong by the end of the show . Loved her family but was self centered .

Satish

Fantastic human being. Loved his wife and was taken for granted by her .

Onir .

Great guy but he was caught in wrong situations . He deserved better .

Very good and strong man but he deserved a woman who loved him ...

Gauri - A perfect doctor a good friend and sweet and Practical girl .But very unlucky she and her parients dont get justice forever she was killed by soham but her chemestry was perfect with . I hope that her soul is living peacefully in heaven forever and her parients would also living peacefully forever now and her brother would have become a buisness tycoon now .

I think one of the best written characters is of Ovi. Even though she was shown to be negative at first, it was more like a how a real life negative person was. Her reaons for doing what she did made sense.
