Hi All,
Sorry if this post has already been made but with all the forum activity I didn't see anything in the first few pages related to this topic. So here goes:
I didn't get to watch all of today's episode - just the recap posted by Zee on youtube. I wanted to start a discussion on Sunanda Tai or Attu.
Up until now I classified Attu as a very dark grey shaded character. She strolled into the Karmakar mansion - left no stone upturned to reiterate her position and hold on the business and household. She's arrogant and tough - she's class conscious and lets the power of money often cloud her judgement.
She brought Kinnari into the picture (this part I never quite pieced together - she knows about Kinnari's colorful background yet picked her - probably to rule over her and a possible fruitful business liason for the future but apparently Kinnari's parents are NOT as well off as the Karmakars - but thats a different discussion) and constantly belittled Ankita and her upbringing by contrasting their backgrounds. Even though Ankita is clearly a much better person than Kinnari and all the family values and expectations she keeps of Kinnari - only Ankita really stands for and puts in action.
She didn't throw Ankita out when she found out Ankita is Naren's wife not nurse, nor did she raise (much) hell when Naren turned over 200 crores to Ankita. She did however throw her out and left no stone upturned when it came to insulting and belittling Ankita during the Mansi rape case - that is until she knew the truth.
Which brings me to my focal point of discussion for this topic - Sunanda redeemed part of her wrong doings till now (towards Ankita) by standing up for her to Rushali. I'm particularly proud of her for saying (don't know if she means it or not) that had Naren not brought Raunak to justice she would have done so personally once she had all the evidence and facts.
I might have missed some parts so I apologize in advance if I'm making misconstrued statements and remarks but I was really hoping for an apology scene between Ankita and Sunanda where Attu formally accepts her mistake for not trusting Ankita and inflicting all the insults, hurt and distrust. I don't think this has happened but the way she stood up for Ankita in front of Rushali and stopped Rushali from slapping Ankita was phenomenal. I don't know if she meant everything she said to Rushali when she pulled her aside but regardless those were all true statements. Whatever the motivation be it to put Rushali down therefore inadvertently positioning herself on Ankita's side or that she truly believes what she is saying - either way - her little speech to Rushali has me feeling pretty good about Attu - for now.
I hope Attu continues to play fair - be strict but play fair - and uncover Kinnari's true motive for staying here and putting Kinnari in her place.
Rushali apparently has now traded spaces with Attu as far as resident antagonist in the Karmakar household.
Lets see how this pans out - what are your thoughts guys? Do you think Attu is playing fair genuinely or is there some kind of ulterior motive?
