Naren was madly in love with Ahana...so why would he make up a fake name to court her?

he told Ankita that Ahana first thought that he was her professor and used to call him , Sir ( just like Ankita does ) ..

Maybe he wanted to see if this girl would actually love him without his money ..

Unfortunatly the girl who married him did this because of money ...something he will probably hate when he will find out ...

He will later understand , I Hope , why someone could be so desperate at times that would agree to marry someone who is mentally unstable ( like marrying to educate and feed her siblings )

When has Teju seen Naren? Far as I know she hasn't been to india in the past twenty odd years and wasn't in touch with Arjun to know that Arjun was doing business with the Karmakar's. Before leap deshmukhs didn't know the Karmakar's so they wouldn't have known about any karmakar kid either.
I got the impression that Teju had never seen aman herself and only knew about him maybe because Pari had mentioned him in passing or something.
Have I missed an episode?
