What has Ekta really shown her audience so far,
Separation of spouses , misunderstanding for 17 to 20 years, kids our of wedlock, love triangle, two sisters married the same guy, rape, wife abuse, wife taking husband to court, kidnapping, family abuse (Soham and his kids), etc etc.

It is about time that Ekta ma grows up and start to think sensibly and try to empower the females.

This Ekta seems to enjoy hurting woman.

i agree with tulsey...i also want a strong fight from mansi to save her from rauank...

its now hight time in every corner of world now getting fear so its time to give a strentgh to woman ...some tricks that when they will be face rauank type people how should they do like this...it not only increased the trp but also will be helpfull to every girl...

and for rauank i want a strong punishment like this:

1- cut his penis so that he never be able to to anything like this
2- put him in boil oil pan so he will be feel how a girl feel when he touched her

3- snatch his eye by which he saw woman with bad intention

4- cut his hand by which he snatch ed a girl dress/ her reputation

5- tie his mouth by which he told bad language to a girs...

rauank type boy need this type of punishment not fassi or jail

Its no use Tulsey . See , she is in a business ...what business ? Providing entertainment by tapping into people's emotions and making money . She shows death of babies in every serial and makes a lot of money by selling that rona dhona . Each lead heroine suffers and seeing her suffering brings in TRPS and money . You see she is in the business of selling suffering and making money , why will she let a social crime like rape that shows suffering of a woman go ? Poverty , rape , domestic abuse , alcoholism r all sufferings and she will definetely show it and make money . People get very scared of horror movies but they see them although they sit with a blanket to cover their eyes . They actually have a market ! Same way , people cry but watch when deaths of children r shown , give gaalis to the rapist but watch the episode with hands on their chest saying omg omg . That day the TRPs r the highest . yesterday nobody wanted to watch Naren Ankita's 'smile' session , but were wanting to see Raunaq Manasi scene .

Regarding Vandu ...in a sense Ekta shows reality . Khaap panchyats even today order women to marry their rapists . One can protest and say but this is not a khaap panchayat village , this is middle class , but were not maximum dowry burning cases in educated middle class ? The middle class is a classic victim of such social pressure and the reality in India today is money talks and bullshit walks . Ajit was rich and Rasika manipulated all in her son's favour by that money AND emotional blackmail of future pressure by showing Vandu the mirror . Vandu listened coz she believed in it . She was living that reality day in and day out . Thousands of middle class women endure marital rape and stay put in their marraiges for the sake of their children . They don't do a Lorena Bobbit or police cases or go back to maika , for them its a way of life and the language of scars on the soul is a luxury to them as they are fighting for brutal survival.

Should rape never be shown after the Dehi rape case ?

If it is shown is it glorifying it ? It was shown before .

Is the effect of rape as shown ...like Vandu marrying Ajit regarded as glorifying rape or is reality been shown in a commercial way ?

Should serials only show fiery women doing Lorena Bobbits or court cases on rapists after this or have a free hand in making their own story which is surreal AND blended with a tinge of reality ?

should viewers deny seeing social evils coz it horrifies them personally and should this be some compulsion on the film maker ?

Many questions need to be answered .

I personally feel nobody's creative freedom can be controlled .Yes , we can control ourselves , we can switch the TVoff if it goes against our personal likes or dislikes .

Speaking personally for myself i take it with a pinch of salt ...neither do horror movies affect me nor violence nor rape scenes . I watch all . Anything realistic and i watch it , does not mean i like it or condone it , its merely tolerance level .

Kool ^ well said...ground realities are very different than what we could want theoretically. Besides, not showing rape will not make rape simply go away. In fact, just after the Delhi rape care - a rape of a 5 yr old girl happened in the same locality - and, you are right, marrying the rapist off happens all too often - and the burden to uphold social norms falls on the shoulders of the middle class - breaking that burden hasn't been easy - will not be easy. Besides, Ekta is in the business of making money - why blame her if she is commercializing reality to make money...she isn't in the business of social reform through the use of media. Besides, to me what was shown was reality regarding Vandu - it did hit home a truth that many never wanted to see - I am sure like me many introspected. We had heated discussions here in the forum too - if this isn't created awareness - what is? This is probably better, than not showing a reality for that creates misconception that those evils aren't there. It's like what the political parties in some part of India are doing now - they just don't want to bring forth victim of rape - to them, since there isn't a victim of rape, so there must not be any rape and it is actually cooked up by the opposition's imagination (of course to topple governments) - they are systematically trying to stop rape victims coming forward - this to me, is the worst situation right now...

Well i have not posted here much but would like to add 2 cents
I do think what was shown in Mansi case is true sometimes we dont sense danger and dont feel how big could it be . We just ignore it Mansi had done exactly same she taught informing Kinnari would solve same she didnt sense trouble that it could be soo big . most of times girls do that and it is easier said and done girls get harrased everyday so often .
Even i was molested in bus once i couldnt do anything in crowded bus taught it better to let it go , So it just raises awareness in different way . Even Vandu case they showed her trauma but still wanted it to be handled better than that . Hope this case is

so Raunaq was not killed but raped Manasi , thats the track they r taking

the Damini fight is reserved for Ankita not for Manasi , she will only sob in background

and the pregnancy track is coming up .

Raunaq has not sold his soul to the devil bit IS the devil incarnate .

Such a pity that all those fit to become leads like Raunaq and Ovi r sidestepped . They deserve main roles ...they r good looking AND act .

So Manasi has opted to be quiet . She will open her mouth when she misses her periods .

Keeping family time in mind no rape was shown . Raunaq buttoning his sherwani is rape .

What i don't understand is how come clothes r so intact if it was rape . Did he unbutton gingerly and did she not protest ? Really ?

Pia regards Purvi as role model ? Satyanash .

In Damini , the final and the most important witness came from Damini's husband , but in the end ..
here also Naren will give evidence as he has a picture in which one can see Raunak in Soham's house .
