Pavitra Rishta Written Update 9th December 2013

Naren tells Ankita that if shes with him hes not afraid, he can sit with her like that forever. Ankita looks emotional. He caresses her hair gently, holds her face in his hands and comes closer to kiss her. Ankita stops him with her hand.

Naren says, But u had said in London that after marriage you will allow this?

Ankita looks nervous, in a shaky voice says, Sir, I need some time.

Naren says, Okay, how much time do u want? Let me set the alarm, what time? 10 minutes? Okay, 15 mins!

Ankita tells him, No sir, more than that. He asks, half an hour, okay? She looks scared, he asks, more than that?

Naren irritably asks, why do u need even more time?

Ankita says, because I don't know you that well now, Sir!

Naren scoffs her, Come on Ahana, you don't know me? Am I mad or are you mad?

Naren sets the alarm on his mobile, One hour and 15 mins, okay?

Ankita says, Six! Naren agrees, 6 hours, okay! Ankita tells him, Sir, 6 months!

He looks at her strangely, Six months? Okay, whats today's date?

He sets the alarm for same time six months later. Ankita looks at him in wonder.

Naren puts his mobile away and asks Ankita if shes happy? She still looks nervous, he holds her hand, touches her cheek and asks her, You wont leave me in these 6 months?

She says, No Sir! Naren asks, and you wont leave after 6 months either? She says, Never!

He seems satisfied, says, Lets go to sleep! Good night!

He grabs her hand, holds it tightly and lies down to sleep. She tries to pull her hand away but doesn't succeed. She reaches out and turns off the bedside light. He holds her hand firmly in his and goes to sleep. Shes almost pulled to him but moves away.

Next Morning at Naren's house

Ankita is sleeping on the couch. Naren is sitting near her head and moving strands of hair away from her face. She stretches her arm and turns. Naren leans over her and says, Good Morning!

She sits up at once in alarm! Naren laughs, Its me! Why are u scared? Okay listen, I have a great surprise for you outside!

Ankita goes to the balcony where Naren is making tea for her, he tells her to sit on the swing there. Ankita sits on the swing and looks at him making tea for her.

Naren brings her a cup of tea, announcing, Todays surprise is this special tea for you. I remember in London u used to add just 2 spoons of sugar in ur tea. Check it and tell me if its good or not? Here, take it.

Ankita smiles, takes the tea cup. He says, be careful, its hot! Now drink it.

She takes a sip. He asks, how is it? She smiles and nods her head.

Hes grins happily, Isn't it just right? See I remember everything!

Naren asks her, Tell me one thing, why did u sleep on the couch? I told u naa, 6 months means 6 months! Alarm will ring by itself! Or maybe at home u sleep on a couch? So its ur habit?

Ankita says, I don't have a couch at home, Sir! Hes surprised, You don't have a couch?

He takes out his phone and calls, Hello Dinesh ji, place the order for a big couch! Very big! And Im telling u the address, u note it down.

Ankita tries to stop him but he doesn't listen, he asks her whats the address of her home. She protests, but hes determined, gives her the phone, orders her to tell the address. Ankita gives up, she tells the address to Dinesh ji: Raghav Mhatre, Survi Chawl, Hanuman Rd, Vasai East.

Naren takes the phone from her and tells Dinesh ji to send it soon to that address.

Ankita asks him, Sir what was the need to do all this?

Rushali comes, she says, if he doesn't do this for his wife, then who will he do it for?

Ankita gets up, Naren makes her sit and tells her to drink the tea. He asks Rushali, Mom Im saying it correct, right?

Rushali continues, Your needs, ur family's needs, now its all Naren's responsibility! And Im so happy to see that he understands this!

Naren triumphantly says, See, I told u so. Rushali asks Ankita to get ready quickly as she has to go home.

Naren gets scared, Mom, she wil go home? Rushali smiles, For the Pag Phera ritual.

Naren asks, whats this Pag Phera? Rushali explains, This is a ritual, Naren, where the bride goes home the day after the wedding and she lives there for 3 days! Come on, get ready.

Naren protests, For THREE days? No Mom, listen, Ahana is not going anywhere! If Ahana goes, Im also coming along with her! Rushali hesitates, But Naren..

Naren says, I don't know any buts, I will also go with her. Rushali agrees, Okay, u also go why not? For 3 days, you go with her!

Naren tells Ankita, we will go together. Arey why aren't u drinking ur tea? Come on drink it!

Rushali smiles and leaves them. naren holds the cup to Ankita, tells her if its cold, he will make another one for her.

Ankita says, No sir! She takes the cup and drinks it, trying to smile. He watches her eagerly.

Deshmukh chawl

Purvi is sitting on the bed and remembering Arjun telling her before, If I wanted I could have moved ahead in life but I didn't do that! Because I stil love you! Then Arjun telling her at the Sangeet that he cannot live without her. Shes telling him, she cant either, he asks her not to leave!

She remembers Arjun at his house telling her that Ovi supported and took care of him for last 20 yrs, when she wasn't with him! Then how can he leave Ovi? He hoped she would understand!

Purvi thinks, Arjun, I know u are lying to me! I heard both from you, once u said u were with Ovi for 20 yrs, and the other time u were asking me to renew our relationship. You asked me to return to ur life, Arjun! The truth I heard in those words before, that truth wasn't there in yesterday's words! I don't know why u are doing this with me? But I will find out abt this!

Purvi takes her mobile and calls Arjun's number. Ovi has Arjun's phone, she looks upset to see Purvi is calling but finally answers the phone. She says, Hello, Ovi Arjun Kirloskar speaking! Who is this?

Purvi says, I want to talk to Arjun!

Ovi says, Oh Purvi? Actually Arjun is busy so I took his call. I don't think he wants to talk to his old lover...

Purvi disconnects the call in distress and starts crying.

At Arjun's house:

Arjun is sitting in his living room and brooding, he remembers his doctor telling him, Arjun, there is a blood clot in ur brain!

Arjun takes out his CT scans from an envelope and looks at it. Then he puts it away with a depressed look. Ovi comes and gives him his mobile. He takes it, just then the bell rings.

Ovi goes to the door and looks into the peep hole, shes shocked to see Manav, Archana and Teju are standing outside. She moves back in alarm, goes to Arjun and tells him, Arjun, my parents have come! I cannot face them! they will think I was really living with you for all these years! Arjun, Im leaving from the back door.

She rushes to the back, Arjun gets up and says, But who is here, Ovi?

Arjun opens the front door and sees the trio waiting there. Hes stunned, then smiles in welcome, Ayi, Baba? Please come in!

They come in. Manav says, Arjun, we talked to Purvi, she told us everything!

Archu says, Arjun, we came here to talk to u abt this! Arjun looks nervous. Archu says, Whatever happened between u two was...

Arjun interrupts, Please, I don't know what ur talking about!

Archana says, Arjun, we want that u and Purvi shd reunite! So we want you two to get married again!

Ovi is peeping in from behind some curtains, listening to the conversation.

Arjun thinks, Thank God Purvi didn't tell her parents abt Ovi! Otherwise I would have to lie to them also!

Manav says, and Yes Arjun, so far we thought that you were living with Ovi and you both had a family here. That's why its natural that we thought that Ovi alongwith you were guilty of deceiving Purvi. That's why we didn't have any relationship with her and we didn't try to find out where she was, but now all misunderstandings are cleared up. Now we want to meet Ovi, we want to talk to her. We want to take her home with us!

Ovi is crying behind the curtains when she hears Manav say all this.

Arjun looks disturbed to hear this, he thinks, however much Im trying to control this situation, its getting out of my hands!

Archana says, Arjun, we don't know where Ovi is and in what condition. I think u might know something abt her, if u know anything, then please help us!

Manav says, Yes Arjun, tell me how u want the marriage to happen? What shd be the Mahurat? We want that this marriage shd take place as soon as possible so that our responsibilities are lessened, then we will look for Ovi! And we will take her back to Canada with us!

Ovi is crying emotionally behind the curtains.

Arjun says, Ayi Baba, ur absolutely right! I was also thinking the same, that I and Purvi shd come together again! Baba, I and Purvi have met each other after 20 yrs, there are still somethings between us that is unsaid, theres still some awkwardness between us. So I want that...actually my business is also going through some ...theres an important project going on here so...I was thinking if we get some more time, like 2-3 months! If we get married after 2-3 months, what do u think abt that?

Purvi walks into the house with a sad face. She sees her parents there and thinks, Ayi baba are here? Did they find out abt Ovi?

Archu smiles to see her, Good thing u came, Purvi! Just now we were talking to Arjun abt ur marriage!

Purvi nods and tries to smile. Archu continues, But Arjun is saying he needs some time as hes busy in a project. So tell me what do u think?

Manav asks Purvi what shes thinking? Arjun looks very nervous, he says, Ayi, both of us also haven't discussed this yet. The thing is we didn't even get time for that!

Manav says, Okay, then later the two of u discuss this, then whatever u decide, it will happen that way, Right, Archana?

Archana agrees with smiles. Purvi nods. Arjun asks everyone to sit down, he quickly picks up his CT scan report from the table and goes to the other room.

Purvi follows him there and says, Arjun, answer my questions. Arjun, tell me the truth! Ovi doesn't live with u right? And for last 20 yrs also she wasn't living with you! Because if she was living with u then she would be home right now.

Arjun tells her, Purvi, Ovi is just outside the house, because Ayi Baba have come, so she couldn't come in front of them! you still don't believe me, then talk to her urself!

Arjun takes out his mobile and calls Ovi.

Ovi who was in the garden outside answers his call. Arjun tells her, Ovi, Purvi is here, she doesn't believe me as usual that ur here. You talk, I will put on speakerphone.

Ovi says, Arjun, why are u calling me? Why don't u tell Purvi not to interfere in our lives again, tell her to live and let live!

Arjun says Thank you! And he disconnects. Ovi outside is upset and crying, she thinks, What happening in my life? Ayi Baba have come to take me home after 20 yrs! I cant even meet them! why has the situation become worse? What shd I do? I hope misunderstandings don't increase because of this!

Arjun tells Purvi, Do u believe me now? Ovi is just outside the house, she just didn't want to come in front of her parents because the situation will become worse! Purvi, just forget what happened, its my fault! Im sorry! I apologize to u again! But look here, now don't come here anymore. I don't want u to come back into my life! I don't want that to happen! Do u understand what Im saying? And see, I lied to ur parents that I need some more time, u also agree to that, u tell them we will talk abt this after a few months but for now u take them back to Canada. Then tell them the truth when u get there, so that theres no problems created here! I don't want any problems in my house, please!

Purvi is crying, heartbroken. Arjun tells her to go outside and behave normally and not cry in front of her parents. He leaves the room, Purvi wipes her tears and follows.

Arjun sits down beside Manav, he says, Ayi Baba we had our discussion. It's a great thing that both of us are thinking alike! Purvi also has some business commitments which she wants to complete, so I thought why not? You all go back to Canada with Purvi, as soon as my project is over, I will come myself to Canada to bring Purvi back. Right?

He looks at Purvi who says, Yes Ayi, perhaps Arjun is right! I will return to Canada with you!

Archu says, But Purvi, why will u go to Canada with us? You stay here naa? Sometime later u will be getting married so why don't u stay here for sometime?

Arjun looks worried to hear this, Purvi is flustered, doesn't know what to say.

Finally Purvi says, No Ayi I was thinking I would also go back to Canada with you! I have to convince Pari also naa...u know how difficult that will be! By then, Arjun's 2 months project will also be over, then we will get married!

Archana looks doubtful somehow, but Manav smiles and agrees, okay that's fine! Whatever u two decide! Then I will get ur tickets booked too?

Purvi says, No Baba, I will do that myself!

Manav tells Arjun, I know u will be busy in next 2 months with ur work, but if u get time, then do come to Canada! Your wife is there, ur daughter!

Arjun nods, smiles and agrees. Purvi tries to smile, Manav tells Archana, Lets go?

Archu tells Purvi to stay with Arjun for a while, to spend some time with him since she will be going so far away!

Archu says, We are leaving, Manav lets wait outside.

ArMaan and Teju leave the house.

Ankita and Naren in the car:

She looks at him worriedly. He looks happy, glancing around at the streets. Suddenly he yells, STOP! STOP!

The driver stops the car. Naren gets down from the car, Ankita calls him Sir, sir you...but he doesn't listen, he goes to this grocery store and asks for some things, pointing to this and that!

The grocer is confused at first abt what Naren wants but finally Naren points to some chocolates in the glasscase. The grocer's phone rings, he attends to the call, Naren takes out chips pkts impatiently throwing them away till he can access the chocolates!

Ankita tries to stop him, says, Sir what are u doing?

Naren grabs a chocolate bar and starts eating it. The grocer protests that he cant eat chocolates like that without paying! Ankita tells him he will get his money!

Naren takes candy bars, says these are for Sonu, Pranav, this is for Naren Ahana!

Shopkeeper asks, how many do u want? Naren says, Two hundred!

The guy says, 200? Naren tells him, 200 Rs worth!

Naren takes a whole box of candy for Sonu Pranav, then he takes a whole carton of bars for himself, he asks how much it is. The grocer says, its 400 Rupees.

Naren takes out a credit card and gives it. The grocer says, No Sir, cards are not accepted here, only cash!

Naren checks his wallet and says, I don't have cash then ...he takes off his expensive watch, gives it to the grocer and leaves with the candy boxes. The grocer takes the watch and looking at it, Ankita grabs it from him and asks how much? Grocer says, 400 rupees. She takes the money out of her purse and pays the guy. She takes the watch and was leaving when the grocer says, That guy is crazy!

Ankita turns back and looks at him, he says, Sorry Ma'am!

She leaves, gets into the car and gives the watch to Naren, who takes it with a smile and puts it on.

Naren takes out the carton full of candy, he says, Look at these, here is Love me not, Love me,...he counts the candy bars by stacking them up in two piles, Love me and Love me Not!

He gets upset to see that the Love me Not pile is bigger so he takes a bar from that pile and starts gobbling it up like a kid. Ankita watches him in consternation.

Naren stuffs all the love me not candy bars into his mouth, then goes to throw the candy wrappers out of the car window but stops and shakes his head and says, Dirty thing to do!

He turns to Ankita and suddenly says, ITS DONE!

Ankita is startled. He says, Now all the Love me Nots are gone!

He picks up a candy bar and asks her what does it say, Ankita says Love me?

Naren says, So u Love me? He holds out his hand for her and smiles romantically at her, she puts her hand in his. He piles up the love me candy bars on top of their joined hands. She smiles at him!
