In the programme, when Manav said to Archana that he did not want there to be any more problems in his daughter's life, which daughter did he mean, Purvi or Ovi?

The reason I ask is this. The converstaion started with Manav asking Archana why she was forcing Purvi to talk to Arjun. Archana says that she wants Purvi to move on and that Purvi deserves that chance. Manav goes on to say that Arjun is happily married to Ovi and he has clearly moved on. Then the conversation ends with him saying that he doesn't wand there to be any more problems in his daughter's life. Was this double speak from Manav?

I'ts very stupid. Loving parents never disown their children, no matter what they do. Parents are supposed to be like God to their children. That's why parenting is such an important responsibility.

I think Manav secretly still cares deeply about Ovi as he has always done. He would be hoping that if Arjun is happily married to her then she too is happy with him. Thus he would not want any harm to come to her. We have always seen Manav's partiality towards Ovi. I think that he was in fact saying what he knows Archana wanted to hear, but, with his fingers crossed behind his back, praying that Purvi maintains her resolve not to talk to Arjun and thus Ovi would be spared more heartache.

This will probably be the next thing that then brings a rift in the Armaan relationship. It has been too good for 20 years. Time for some upheaval. More Manav refusing to accept Soham and his children and blaming Archana for again ruing Ovi's life!!
