Ovi is not being taken to task because she is clear she doesn't want anything to do with arjun or purvi, and has not given them or anyone else any indication of wanting them in her life. She is not hanging around arjun with her baby making arjun and purvi's married life difficult; she's not hanging around them period. Even when she was in India, she didn't have any kind of contact with arjun or purvi --zilch, nada. Now that is called cutting off completely. Not what purvi or arjun were doing when each wanted arjun/ ovi and onir/ purvi to have a happy marriage. Even now, the truth only came out because Ovi blurted it out in her panic for her baby. And she's already told the baby is hers and he can (and should) go back to his life the way it was, that she wasn't expecting or wanting anything from him. If Ovi had told arjun about the baby, what would he have done? When exactly should she have told him and what should she have done to do the right thing? Reveal her pregnancy and leave her baby with arjun and purvi so that they are together and arjun still has his baby (who he doesn't seem to care a whit for btw) and everybody except her is happy? Tell arjun before he married purvi so that she's accused of coming between the great lovers again? Tell him after? She did the last, but seems like it wasn't the right thing to do according to some. So what was the right time and place for her to reveal the big earth shattering( !!!!??!!!) truth?
And everybody's assuming that Pia was conceived out of the night before Ovi left for Canada. There is however no proof for that. Arjun and Ovi were married and before Pari's truth was out, were reasonably happy and presumably having normal marital relations. Pia could have been conceived anytime after pari's birth. Just because the CVs showed the contrived scene to remind the audience arjun and ovi were intimate doesn't mean that was the only time they were.
Sowmya, You are jumping in to conclusion that I am defending Purvi and missing my point. And if you think, I haven't criticized Purvi for hiding some of the truths (not all) like the recent Soham incident, then you are wrong.
But I want you to go back a month or two back in the forum and look at all those threads which shouted Purvi was the biggest Liar, Purvi was the worst character, Purvi was the worst mother and so on.
Why isn't there a single post calling Ovi all that? Would any parent be happy if their daughter takes all decisions by herself and hiding such a big truth about the baby? Will any husband be happy about not being told the truth? Do you seriously think baby Pia's truth can be kept away from everyone? Do you think Ovi was right in asking Arjun to keep the truth away from Purvi? Do you think Ovi was even right in drinking to the extent that she wasn't even able to walk properly when she was fully aware how precarious her pregnancies are? Which mother in her right mind will leave her premature baby and travel to a far away place and wile away her time?
In short, what makes Ovi a saint in front of Purvi? And why is the topic maker and others who have responded in this thread have blasted Purvi in the past , blind to any of Ovi's faults which also have been on similar lines? Instead, all I see is Arjun and Purvi being accused of this and that.
One thing that's said often in Ovi's defence is that her only mistake was making that deal with Purvi. But I haven't even referred to any of Ovi's past issues. She is definitely matured from the past but she has made big blunders, some of them even bigger than Purvi and I am surprised to see how no one has acknowledged that
