Exactly Shailee, not only is Ekta portraying something very ugly but she completely changed his personality. Soham was kind to every woman he had contact with...with Varsha, with Purvi,,,,in fact stopped one of the goons from hurting her, and helped her, with Ovi, with Archu...he was a tough guy as one of the boys or men but was shown as a person with a soft caring compassionate heart.

This is all really very sick. There is no way this violence should be rewarded and have Soham win the girl. As a matter of fact, there is nothing Ekta can do now to redeem him. Violence against women never changes.. it can't be undone. To do this to a beloved semi-lead character, and in a society where violence against women gets daily international attention, is the height of irresponsibility and callousness...really criminal imo. It should be pulled from TV.

The only place i do disagree with the other posters here is that in my opinion all this slapping is also violence...and i have mentioned it a lot. I never ever saw this kind of stuff in reality and i am rather shocked that slapping seems to be the preferred way to show disapproval. In my opinon, it just simply escalates to the kind of thing we are appalled and shocked at today.

I am not interested in this character Soham any longer, or for that matter in PR. Is this what Anki came back for???? Thank God the rest of them have put down their papers. The best thing that could happen is for all the actors to walk off the set, refusing to portray such convoluted values.

I think you misunderstood my point. Something drastic needs to be done to stop him. Call the police, arrest him, put him in jail. But what i am saying is that IF the normal action to correct someone is to slap them in the face no wonder there is violence of all kinds in that society. I have lived in 3 different cultures and never ever in my life have i seen the answer to problems being to slap the other person in the face. Is this a common practice in India or is it only in the soaps?

More control is needed on TV on showing violence against women ..

Gauri's Parents and Sachin has right to know abt Soham..Archana & Purvi cant handle it themselves. Even Savita only knows abt Soham's drinking and not abt Soham loving Gauri who is supposed to be Sachin's future wife and current Fiance..

The kind of promise he took from PUrvi tells me once balan does something to Sachu, brings Gauri to Soham and than Soham may force himself on her...

Soham will not care if Balan removes Sachu from this equation as he wants Gauri..

Gauri does not deserve this...Where was Varsha at the haldi ceremony? she would have known something was up with Soham..
