Hiten Tejwani: Hiten who played a spoilt brat in Balaji Telefilms Kutumb, garnered much female attention right since the inception of the show. With a boy next door image, this Pavitra Rishta actor is surely desired by a number of girls or actually their mothers who would deeply wish for a son in law like him. Married to actor Gauri Pradhan, Tejwani is a father of twins, Neevan and Katya.

Gauri Pradhan to be back on TV

Gauri Pradhan Tejwani will be making a comeback on TV with Meri Aashiqui Tum Se Hi.

The actress, who was a part of shows like Kyunkii Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi and Kutumb, said, "The show explores my journey with my daughters. I basically decided to come back because my kids are old enough now."

Gauri revealed that during the break, she got a lot of offers, but they didn't work out. "Somehow, it always works out with Ekta (Kapoor). I was getting a lot of offers, but they didn't materialize. I had a few restrictions. I work on my conditions, and I have certain conditions about money and work hours. When Ekta came up with this, I really liked the role. The production house is like my second home. It doesn't look like I've been away for almost five-and-a-half years," she said.

So, was she prepared to do a mother's role? "I was prepared for that. That is how it is. There are lots of young girls and boys who are coming in these days. They are hardly 15, 16 or 17. I've had my share of the limelight. I just want to enjoy what I'm doing. I was so busy with the kids all these years. But once they started growing up, I thought of coming back," she said. There were reports that Gauri wasn't comfortable about being paired opposite Muni Jha, who has worked with her in earlier shows.
"He played my father in one of my earlier shows. That was really uncomfortable (playing wife to someone who had played my father). I told them (the makers of the show) that they could replace me if they wanted to, but it was somehow managed. I was feeling bad, but I couldn't help it," she said. Since there are reports that Kyunkii... might see a sequel, will Gauri be a part of it? "I'll be a part of it, but I don't know anything, as of now, since Ekta hasn't spoken to me."

She was also seen talking about Gauri Pradhan's comeback on television saying, "I have known Gauri for many years now. She has a very pretty face so her character has always been consciously positive. But in this show, her role is different. I wouldn't say it's negative, but is more edgy and has shades of grey."

Hope to get a show with Hiten very soon: Gauri Pradhan

Actress Gauri Pradhan, who is all set to make her small screen comeback with Meri Aashiqui Tumse Hi', has expressed her desire to work with her actor husband Hiten Tejwani in the near future.

Gauri and Hiten are arguably the most loved TV couple having starred together in hit shows like Kutumb' and Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi' besides participating in dance reality show Nach Baliye'.

The 36-year-old actress, last seen on TV in a cameo in Kumkum' along with Hiten, took a five-year-long break after having twins, son Neevan and daughter Katya in 2009.

"Everyone is expecting me and Hiten to work together. Till now we have not been offered anything. But I think we will soon work together. Now, that I am back on TV and people are going to see me and I think we will be getting offers soon," Gauri told PTI.

In Meri Aashiqui Tumse Hi', Gauri will be seen playing mother to a teenager. When asked if there were any apprehensions on her part to play mother to a grown-up kid, she said she did not as she was happy to be given a role that is important to the storyline.

"All I wanted was an important role. I have enjoyed my share of fame, money, adulation for 10 years. Now, I am more concerned about the quality of work. And kids who work in TV shows now-a-days are only 15 or 16. So, it is alright to play their parent," she said.

The show to be aired on Colors, has been produced by Ekta Kapoor. Gauri has previously worked with Ekta in several shows.

"I had decided not to work till my kids turned four. I have been getting offers from other production houses. But not Ekta. When I got this offer, I felt at ease because of the familiarity with the production house and also the easy work timings," she said.
