Pavitra Rishta is headed for a time leap yet again, with Hiten Tejwani set to play grandfather and Ankita Lokhande (in a double role) geared to play his wife as well as granddaughter.
Hiten has no complaints, but says, "No one likes to play grandfather, especially when you are a father of two toddlers in real life. But there's nothing I can do about it. I am a professional, so I will take this change in my stride."
The leap, he says, will give him time to concentrate on newer projects. "I want to play roles where my absence should be felt. It may not necessarily be a lead role, but my character should be crucial to the show."
About Pavitra Rishta's leap, Hiten says, "We don't know what goes on between channels and production houses. We just have to accept it. Probably, there is nothing left to explore in the current track."
