Chapter 2
Arjun sat near the hospital for a whole day without food or water. Manav and Archu got worried. They walked up to him...
Manav: Arjun, dear, go home and rest. You have stayed here for the whole day now. You need rest, you haven't recovered from the accident completely. Listen to us, go home.
Arjun: Manav uncle, at least I have gotten better from the accident. I am here talking to you, but what about Purvi? She hasn't even opened her eyes since the event. She is in coma right now, battling life and death. I have just lost my best friend, I can't afford to lose the love of my life. I can't leave her. When I had gotten hit with a bullet, she was there with me the whole time, and I wasn't even in such a bad condition. But Purvi is in coma right now, I can't possibly leave her.
Archu: Arjun, I understand your feelings, but still. You need to go home and rest. It's whats best for you. We are here, right? If anything happens, we'll call you right away.
Arjun and ArMan argued for a while, but at the end, Manav and Archana had to accept defeat. They just couldn't convince Arjun to go home.
For a another day, Arjun stayed at the hospital, waiting for Purvi. And not having food or water was making him worse, and the recent injuries from the accident that he had suffered, weren't helping him either, they were making him worse faster.
3 days later, Manav and Archu walked up to Arjun to talk to him, but when Arjun stood up, he fainted. The doctors rushed, and checked him. They found out that Arjun had been at this position because of starvation. Manav and Archana didn't know about this because everytime they gave Arjun food, he say that he would rather eat outside, in the fresh air, alone. Manav and Archu knew what Arjun was going thru so they gave him all the privacy he needed. But when he went outside with the food, he would give it to the beggars outside. He hasn't told anyone about his vow, because he knew that if everyone found out, they would force him to give up on his vow. The doctors had hooked him up with glucose supplements. But when he woke up 12 hours after he had fainted, he took the supplement dose connections out of his hands immediately. When the doctors came to check up on him, since he'd regained consciousness, they tried to convince him to eat something. But he was after all Purvi's Khadoos, Ziddi Arjun, who refused to give up, even on Manav, Archana, and DK's insistence.
