I don't give any credit to anyone for this change in Ovi.

Ekta is here to do business and not tell a story. It just happens that the business she is doing is via a TV serial. It does not matter what story or how the story or the characters shape up. Some people are passionate about story telling and care very much abt how their story comes out to the audience. Those are the people who care for story-telling and their characters. Ekta is not 1 of them. Her priority is only to make money hence she dictates butchering of any character whenever needed and have illogical twists and turns.

The only reason Ovi was changed was because they shifted their focus. They had different plans to take it further with time leap. In the near future story line they did not have the need for Ovi bcos they have something larger in their mind and cannot accommodate the character Ovi.

That does not necessarily mean the character Ovi is finished. They can bring her back anytime if the need arises with the same obnoxiousness maybe with a different actor. Everything is "relative" in Indian TV world, it all depends what their priority is at that time or what kind of a story they have in their hand at that point.

Same goes for Onir's track too.

7.5 months earlier if they had told a (somewhat) logical story, then they would never could have made Arjun marry Ovi bcos Purvi begged him to do so. The way Arjun was developed, he wouldn't ever have done that blunder. The makers of the show by disgracing Arjun that night had not just made the story illogical but also gambled on and bought 7.5 months of story ahead. That night if Arjun had married Purvi, they wouldn't have had these 7.5 months of (nonsense) story and the Crores of Rupees that came with it by being in business all this long.

They butchered their characters, not just Arjun, Purvi and Ovi, but the entire family. Remember no one raised a question or tried to fix the issue at that time. They had in fact made every character act abnormal. It was just time they would have reformed Ovi and they did it. If at this point if they did not get idea for a newer track, they would have pushed the previous track even longer.

And let me also add, even if a show is able to get just .5 TRPs, it does make profit. I have seen shows with just .5 TRPs on Zee run for more than a year! Its when they have something else to replace it with if they realize they aren't able to take the story further or if they are getting too much negative feedback is when they shut a show.

So, they will keep running a show and milking it for whatever it is worth.So, PR with a TRP of 2.5 is definitely making good profit. So, as long as they have viewers to watching this tamasha or don't get a better show to replace it, this will go on.
