Rithvik Dhanjani really caught my attention when he walked on to the stage of Jhalak 5 for the first time as a wild-card entry - there was something in his presence and his performances on stage that made me sit up and take notice. Up until then, the talent on Jhalak 5 was extremely good and even exceptional but not electrifying - Rithvik was in a league of his own - he brought with him an aura where his feet were effortless and magical and his sense of musicality, timing and rhythm was unmatched and sublime.

I knew then that he was an accomplished actor and that he was multi-talented but did not realize the extent or the depth of that talent - gradually I saw that he could do magic tricks, then realized he also played the guitar - then saw him as a co-host on India's Best Dramebaaz and now after seeing his performances in New York and his unexpected singing ability there on stage, making it all look so easy and effortless, I have come to the conclusion that there is nothing this young man cannot do if he puts his mind to it.

Through it all though there is something else about him that I realized was very unique and had nothing to do with his many talents at all and that is that he comes across as a very humble, honest and genuine person, extremely down-to-earth with no affectation at all (take for example his tweet about the streets in New York), someone who is not shy about expressing his love and appreciation whether for his friends or his family, he has absolutely no hesitation to talk about his sister, his parents and his love for them especially his mother. Which brings me to another observation about him...I just love the way he treats the women he works with - he was ever so respectful and protective of Sneha his professional dance partner in Jhalak 5 and he never seems to waiver on that at all when it comes to Asha (Purvi) with whom he also shares a wonderful camaraderie.

The sky is the limit for this young man and I have no doubt that his success will reach new heights but through it all, I pray that he remains true to his core values and that he always has the wind at his back!
