Ankita to play double role; Rithvik, Asha, Shruti, Shakti to quit Pavitra Rishta?

Our sources have shared some super spicy dope from the sets of Zee TV's Pavitra Rishta (Balaji Telefilms).

Earlier in the day we wrote about Usha Nadkarni (Savita Tai) quitting the above show. And now it seems that the word "quit" is what on the mind of majority of actors working in the soap.

Now, it is almost confirmed that leap is on the cards, and post the jump, most probably of 18-20 years, the plot will change drastically.

Yes, Ankita Lokhande aka Archana will become grandmother and guess what? She will also play a younger character, that of Purvi's (Asha Negi) daughter.

Yups, you guys got it right'Archana will play a double role'that of a grandmother and a young belle.

Interesting right? But hasn't something similar happened in Colors' Uttaran? Anyways'moving on'let's get our source into the picture.

Said the source: "Archana wanted to play a younger character after the leap. Hence the creatives decided to make her Purvi's daughter. But now, the production house has hit a crisis situation as most of the younger lot of actors has decided to quit the project."

Aha..indeed a "fixy" situation.

What we have learnt is that Shruti Kanwar (Ovi), Rithvik Dhanjani (Arjun), Asha Negi (Purvi), Shakti Arora (Dr Onir), all have decided to call it quits.

"Yes, they all have made up their mind to move on and the production house at this moment is trying to retain them," the source continued to divulge.

The actors who have chosen to stay back are Hiten Tejwani (Manav), Teju (Mrinalini Tyagi), Savita Prabhune (Sulochana), Parag Tyagi (Vinod) and Swati Anand (Manjusha).

We sent a text message to producer Ekta Kapoor for her comment on the development but she did not revert.

Rithvik, Asha, Shakti and Ankita too chose not to talk on the issue. Of course, we understand it's a little sensitive for them to come on records and share their thoughts right now.

However, Shruti stated, "Nothing has been finalsed yet but if at all the plot takes a leap, I would not continue as I am not ready for it."
