Perhaps the only EK show I truly liked. It was sort of youthful but family-oriented unlike much of today's youth shows. The only thing that I didn't like was the marital rape arc where Pratham raped Gauri. I don't think I can ever forgive the character of Pratham for that but Hiten was excellent in portraying Pratham's guilt and shame after the incident happened. And Hiten and Gauri- ! They kept me hooked to the screen as Pratham and Gauri. It was a short show and didn't stretch like her other shows but there was also a season 2. In my opinion, season 1 was far better than season 2. Plus the character of Pratham has become such an iconic character, even after all of these years!
Soham is a good looking guy and he deserves at least a kind respectful girl. Even when he was a goon, the love, respect, and admiration he had for his mother was admirable. And now that he's changed a bit, doesn't he deserve a girl who's not like Gauri?
I can't stand Gauri. I saw Friday's episode yesterday and I just wanted her to shut up. She is a total Purvi. It's watching Gauri now that I realize how awful Purvi was in the beginning even though I used to like her back then. Purvi has just become worse with time and if Gauri stays long in this show, she will become Purvi 2 and that's much worse than being an Archana 2. Also, I noticed that the BG music (I don't know how to describe, but when I hear it all I can think of is takraar) during Gauri and Soham's spat with each other in Friday's episode was the same one that used to play for Arjun and Purvi when they were at loggerheads with each other before they fell in love. So it cements it that this annoying clone of Purvi will be Soham's dream girl. Soham, run for your life!
