June 10, 2010 (Sampurn Wire):What an irony that it is a break-up that has helped "Pavitra Rishta' (Holy relation) bring joy to its makers? Zee TV and and Balaji Telefilms must be wondering why they didn't think of Archana-Manav's divorce before.

Last Monday's episode where Archana and Manav divorce each other, has clocked a staggering TVR of 7.6 making it the undisputed top show for the TAM week 23 (May 30-June 5).

its jus not bcoz archana and manav and also d script., pavitra rishta is d remake of tamil serial thirumati selvam .,pr b4 leap was same as dat of thirumati selvam.,even thirumati selvam fetched very good trp in tamilnadu ., datz y ekta bought it and even in north india it worked.,so v need script along vid actors 4 good trp😃

thirumati selvan doesnt had any leap., so cv's lost dey cant copy 4m thirumati selvam 😉😆

they r not to b blamed and shouldnt b but i just want to say arvi romance also didnt able to draw much attention like before.even now punir romance also shown now but still TRP not getting much.i think now RD is more popular among new generation but he rarely shown in PR now a days so his fan stop watching the show

I don't have to worry about anything since Archana was not my favorite character at all. Sure I am happy for Ankita, she took the right decision and made it through before the dead end of this PR. I won't care if Archana comes back or not. My views were strictly on my favorite pair just like yours. And to be fair, I had to put my thoughts in about every character that has taken part in this show. I don't want to get into further Arguments as everyone only spills what they think is right. I don't want to spoil my or anybody's mood so I will just repeat it one last time. If the story has no strength, then the actors or the characters cant help.

and above is from just this week. Ever week when the TRPs are out, there seems to be a contest between some on who can post how quickly to blame Arjun, Purvi or ArVi. I know the TRPs were good once, in fact very high, but those were also days of good tracks.

@Tanyaz - thanks for your opinion. when the tracks are shoddy, nothing will work. And what they have been showing from past few weeks (baby donation after all Purvi did to keep the child, forced romance) is bottom of the barrel and worse. They have sidelined Arjun forever, and some are still blaming his 4 minute scene for low TRP of the entire week, come on now!

Archana used to bring that strong emotional bond in all her relationships ...the day she finds out about Purvi being pregnant in Kolkota , that day TRPs were 4.1 ...such was the impact of the mother daughter scene ...

When SBS showed the shooting only , we all were feeling sad because the acting and everything was so touching ...that sort of thing is just not there anymore in the show ...

For me , Asha Negi 's ( the main lead ) best scenes were with her mother Archana ...

Archana was an extremely important character in PR and Ankita as Archana has always been loved so much ..Her last proper appearance was on 1st of March and that is exactly the time the TRP's suddenly had a sharp drop ...

Even a website acknowledged this .Even in a successful show ( where apparantly script is great ) like Balika Vadhu, TRPs have come down because the main lead has been changed ...

I am not saying that give the main reason as Ankita leaving but yes, Ankita's leaving and the bad script , both have effected the TRPs adversely ..

At this point the script is so bad that I think most of the fans have switched to other shows and it will not be easy to bring them back ..

I don't think the Onir and Purvi romance is working anymore and neither do people find the Soham and varsha story that interesting , actuall ynone of the current tracks are working any more ...

as for Arjun and Purvi being together ...well this track also did not work in the past ( with TRPs ) , maybe it will work now or not ...

Again I will say that yes, do blame the script as the big reason but also Ankita 's leaving has effected .She was not just anyone but she as Archana was the heart of PR right from the time the show started ... I am her fan and I am happy that the TRPs fell down exactly at the time when she left the show ...and I don't want her to come back as the show has lost almost 1 / 3 of it's fans in the last 2 months now ...

That's what I have been telling people here. The story is important and then the characters! If PR story is crap, then how would Archana, Arvi or Punir can save this? I use to like the story of Archana and Arvi together but Cvs have butchered every single piece that was precious to the fans of Archana and Arvi!
