Kakapi, Purvi is constantly blamed for putting others before herself, however stupidly, and called bad names for that, same token, Ovi is definitely not beyond criticism and is no saint either.
Janhvi, btw, I don't blame Purvi for putting herself beyond everyone else, rather all her sarifices are to prove that she is the Mahaan, the sarificing one so that she remains the apple of everyone's eyes, she is a control freak, a pathological liar, controlling everyone behind the curtain - she needs medical help, in my opinion.Plus I doubt Ovi knows how to love anyone beyond herself even her own child. Remember her drinking binges and her wanting to abort the child in the first place? The only reason she suddenly got attached to this child is because she sees the baby as a lifeline to Arjun.Ovi is no saint true, but why is her love questioned every single time? It is an assumption that ppl have who always want to see this character at a fault. But, I haven't seen anything like that as portrayed by the Cvs - she has remained the same from the time she was shown. Loving strongly and faithfully that she cares for - from Manav to Arjun and now the baby...Yes, she drank, but that as a frustration reaction of when she realized Arjun was still in love with her sister...a pregnant woman finding that hubby loves her sister more than her or the baby on the way - I could, if my hubby sleeps with me but romanticizes about my sister - I could go crazy - wonder, who couldn't? But a little encouragement changed all that. In fact, babies are always thought to bridge the gap in broken relationships - seen 2 real life examples - one in India and one in the US - for all believe ppl tends to forget the difference when a baby is involved - nothing wrong in that thought process -
And please it has nothing to do with empathizing with someone losing her baby, I am sure many of us, just like you and I, can relate to that personally.
jhanvi... an excellent review of "suspicions" about Onir. hh...makes me almost want to watch yesterday's epi...😆 sorry Shyamala, i am not being a good girl.all things aside, why should Onir be spared going from good to questionable in the PR roster. Happened to some very good people before him. !But i do have to take issue with the Ovi part. I think her actions now are justified, any mother waking up and seeing her baby not there..has a moment of panic...however, it isn't stated that way...it seems her fear isn't a Varsha style kidnapping, but an Arjun kidnapping. 😆 So, is she or is she not really concerned about the baby? After all when she saw that Teju had her, she was fine.Maybe she does think Purvi will try to replace her a mother, and that's a normal reaction when she believes the baby is hers (or if the baby is hers) and knowing how much the baby means to Arjun, I find it perfectly normal. You know i don't care for the Ovi/Arjun jodi at all...i can't even watch it ever, but loving the baby is in fact a good trait, and, well, i hope Ovi becomes good in the end...although it will be harder for her to do that, i think she has tried. Look at Varsha, looks like the cv's are on their way to redeeming her character. If Varsha can turn around, i am sure Ovi can too.But i also find Purvi's obsession with the child is perfectly normal too. You can't be a mother of a baby you hold in your arms and not long for it, not want to nurse it. right?Unfortunately there are real time consequences for each and all of their mistakes.
Well Janhvi, I judge all characters from my POV and my real life experiences...so that is how I post too...its just the way I look and crticize characters -Agree to disagree...

Or with Ovi. We don't want the little fairy carrying on the grandma, mom tradition of sacrifice and mahanta but we do not want the baby to carry on the tradition of great-grandma (Savi) and mausi Ovi either. The last will make her a very selfish little girl indeed, always putting her wishes first and that will never ever make her truly happy. So for the sake of little Pari, I hope Arjun takes the baby and runs away from both her "mothers" to the ancient Saharan town (Timbuctoo) as fast as he can get!
