Enough is Enough!!

THIS IS IT!!! I can't just bear the torturous show anymore and even reading the updates gives me serious migraine. I am pretty sure that the show is headed towards doom and I have no good intention of following it there. Hence the wise decision of bidding it adieu, forever!

There is no storyline for one (good or bad is a different matter altogether), no proper characterizations for two and no destination for three. Its twists and turns are worse than a roller-coaster ride and sends a perfectly sane mind into a dizzy. The number of loopholes is so high that any sensible matter (if there is any at all) disappears right through it. Although I am departing, there are a few things I would rather get off my chest than carrying them along with me.

I would be highly interested to know how the CVs justify Purvi's sacrifice because there is no logical (or illogical) way of justifying it. Her character has been shredded to pieces and there is no way one can find all the pieces and put them back together. She has terribly failed as a lover, a daughter, a sister (Guess many of you will differ from me on this part but that's what it is. She has let her sister continue with her wrongdoings instead of setting her right), a wife and quite recently, as a mother. My words tend to fail me when I think about her actions; a lover sacrificing her soul-mate on the eve of their wedding, a daughter playing with her parents' reputation and a mother giving up her baby to someone else even before she sees her face. She has no right whatsoever to take decisions for others; especially for a mother who has just lost her kid, a baby who probably would never know her real parentage and a father who doesn't even have a clue that he has borne another child. It's high time that the lady decides if she wants to lead her life as a normal human or if she wants to be put on a pedestal and worshipped. Even angels have their wicked schemes; and she takes that to new extremes…

The less I say about Arjun Kirloskar, the better! The character who haunts (Yeah! That's the word! Haunts) our TV screen nowadays is not even a shadow of the true self he had once been. I had adored him for his perseverance and courage but presently, he lacks both. All he does nowadays is sharing eye-locks with Purvi and convincing Ovi that he truly loves her. Where has the guy who knew to stand up for himself and go to any lengths to do what he believed was right disappeared? Has he been buried under the piles of Purvi's demands or Ovi's shrieks and screams? And if so, is there any chance of his resurrection at all?

I have always been an ardent fan of grey characters as they are the ones who resemble the real life characters the most. But it seems that the creative heads of the show have never heard the word grey and they solely deal with areas of black and white. The character Ovi had a great potential to be harvested (I had actually placed my hopes on her during the thumbs-up at airport scene) but they gladly decided on chopping her off and made her come across as a villain with a dark heart and even darker agendas. I must say that the CVs have succeeded there as now I hate her to the core and no matter how much you CVs try to bring her back to the positive light; the feelings are not going to change.

Coming to the newly introduced character Onir; why the hell was he even brought into the frame? The show had already been enough complicated without him and he only serves as an addition to ongoing madness.An innocent and harmless baby has already been harmed in this process and only Fates know what awaits the other one.

I will never understand why there is a fixed definition of right and wrong in these nonsensical daily soaps. Why could Ovi never forgive Arjun for breaking her heart and still be good? Why can't Arjun turn down Purvi's baseless requests and yet come out as her knight in shining armour? Why can't Purvi balance her love between her family and her life-partner? Why can't Arjun make his stand clear to Ovi instead of leading her on and hurting her more in the process? And most importantly, why can't someone knock some senses into the self-proclaimed goddess of mahaanta?

Let me tell you something, dear CVs, no matter how high a pedestal you wish to give Purvi; she just comes across as a whiny girl who always gets what she wants which in truth is not much different from Ovi except that she has higher goals and ideals! Similarly Arjun comes across as a man who can't stand up for his love and NOT as a devoted lover who can travel any lengths to prove his love. I still love the pair; not for what they are now but for what they had once been. The magic which had once brightened up their lives is now buried deep under the ground and so is my love for them. There is no way on earth to restore the original charm that this couple had once created. I would still like to thank Rithvik and Asha who did manage to spark up the screen (and they still do) with their awesome chemistry.

I would like to thank all my friends who made my days in this forum worth enjoying. I would like to thank the analysts of the forum for all their wonderful topics. And how can I not thank the wonderful CVs of Pavitra Rishta who have the talent of turning a beautiful love story into utter crap. I don't expect anything from you anymore but if you plan to listen to us, please remember that there is someone called Nemesis and it's time that she gets her fair share of screen-space.

I have made some great friends on the ArVi AT and I will always miss you guys…!! Sleepy and Foodie…We can always have our Family Reunions at the Members Lounge! A special mention to Peaches and her baseball bat. I will miss all of my fellow ArVians(namely Huma di, Ria, Ash, Amy, Easha, Eshu, Neha, Veno di, Sujata di, Boni , Pritty, Shailee) with whom I had have the careless banters, the fruitless dreams, the never-ending droolings and the constant love and joy. Did I miss anyone? Guess I did miss two of my best friends at the AT…Jago and Vinu. You guys have always been special and will continue to be. Love you all lots!

And yeah, as it must be clear after a page long rant (or in case it is not clear) I am discontinuing my FF, "Standing in the Dark." I just don't feel like writing it anymore, so guys bear with me for that! Sorry to all my wonderful readers out there!

Nevertheless- I still want PR to send the right message in the long run by punishing evil, rewarding goodness, and by showing that mutual, true and pure love conquers all evil by reuniting ArVi and allowing them to raise their child together!!

You have stated some valid points and I encourage you to send this post to Zee's feedback page- they need to see how viewers feel about the trash that they are showing in the name of PR!! I hope you'll come back to the forum though and ArVi AT- but take all the time you want to cool of!!

My love for ArVi has long gone as I mentioned, and I don't feel it is ever going to come back. I love what you have written-short yet precise. For me, Arjun and Purvi have been butchered beyond redemption. Even if they are united, they should first bear the consequences of their actions! Evil has to be punished but in PR-land, every logical thing is a dream. Anyways, thank you once again and I sincerely hope your wishes regarding ArVi do come true.
