Purvi: What the hell do you mean, Mr ARJUN KIRLOSKAR!, asked a completely shattered Purvi!

Arjun: Do I need to repeat myself again, Purvi!

Purvi: I HEARD WHAT YOU SAID MR KIRLOSKAR, BUT I WANT TO KNOW WHY?

Arjun:Purvi, till when will we be like this? How would we shape our future without taking this important step!

Purvi: What are you talking about Arjun, i'm not getting you at all!

Arjun: Purvi, what is so difficult to understand?

Purvi was completely astonished by this changed Arjun. She was not able to capture anything happening right now! Arjun's words made her more or less sure that Arjun had already given up on their love! Determined to give him a big piece of her brain, Purvi went in front of Arjun, caught his collar in a very menacing grip and hissed angrily;

Purvi: I don't know what's wrong with you Arjun, but you have absolutely no right to announce your final decision about us! If you forgot, let me remind you I have been with you for five years, and I have the right to have my say on this! And I want to know why don't you want to continue the relationship we share! C'mon answer me! Is our love so weak Arjun that you have given up for what-so-ever reasons! Tell me, Arjun! In all these years I have supported you in each and every decision about us, and I accepted your final decision without thinking otherwise, but now, today! I can't support you Arjun, because you are wrong this time! Absolutely wrong!

Purvi took off her hands from his collar and punched him lightly on his chests…..removing all her frustration on him! After several punches, Purvi finally drained from all this, went into the arms of Arjun. Completely loss in the mess created by the most important person of her life.

This time Arjun did wound his arms lightly around him! His touch comforting her a lot….

Purvi removed herself from his embrace to question him again about his decision, but before she could say anything, Arjun actually took the lead and said in a very calm tone;

Arjun: Purvi, let's have dinner!

Purvi: what?

Arjun: Let's have dinner.

Purvi: Are you joking with me, if yes, then very bad joke that was, Arjun!

Arjun:It's not a joke Purvi! Come let's eat then I will answer all your queries…

Purvi: You have really lost it,Arjun! You've gone mad! You want me to have dinner with you when you have just broken up with me…

Arjun: Purvi, I'll explain everything, just let's go and eat something!

Purvi: No, you explain it to me now!

Arjun: Purvi, I swear after dinner I will tell you everything…

Purvi: I SAID NOW!

Arjun: Purvi, in those five years, if you have ever loved me then let's eat our dinner and then we will talk.

Taken by the oath of her love, Purvi couldn't refuse, she nodded and followed Arjun. Her mind was in a complete confusion not understanding why Arjun wanted to have dinner with her! Probably to keep a reminder of how wonderfully he broke up with me, thought Purvi.

Arjun pulled a chair for Purvi, but Purvi very much irritated by Arjun's current behavior went to sit on the other chair, irritating Arjun this time! She looked at the table, it was filled with a variety of foods and even a bottle of champagne, as if they were celebrating something! Oh, yes, MR ARJUN KIRLOSKER wanted to celebrate his break-up in style, thought Purvi.

Purvi didn't know what she should feel now, happy that she was still with Arjun after five years or sad that next year she wouldn't…..Purvi immediately removed that thought from her mind! She was confident on her love and whatever the problem was, she was sure she would solve it! She has never learnt to give up in life, and this time she wouldn't give up even if Arjun already seem to have given up!

Dinner was a quiet affair, and both of them didn't talk at all! Purvi kept glancing at Arjun but the latter didn't even look at her! Apparently the food was more important to him, thought Purvi…Both finished with their dinner and Purvi knew that now was the time for facing the reality but before she could voice out her thoughts;

Arjun: Purvi, we still have the desert left!

Purvi was damn irritated and annoyed now! She still kept her patience and nodded positively at Arjun who gave her a smile! The first smile since the day! Arjun placed a bowl of ice-cream in front of Purvi and took the other one for him. The ice-cream was still in its solid state, courtesy, the big bowl of ice cubes in which it was kept! Every time, Arjun surprised her with his intelligence and she couldn't help fall in love with him more and more…

She took her spoon filled with ice-cream and put the cold thing into her mouth! It was her favorite, Peach flavor…(we have a member her peaches and plums! This one's for you!)

He looked at Arjun, who was staring at her eating the ice-cream! She took a second spoon and realized that Arjun was not interested in his ice-cream, rather he was more interested in the way she was relishing her ice-cream and was looking out for her reaction after each spoonful! Now, Purvi was damn sure that this man has lost it.

Purvi: Arjun, do you want my ice-cream!

Arjun(nervously): Yes…..uhhh…NO! Can I feed you, Purvi.

Purvi was more than sure that that with Arjun's behavior, she would need a psychiatrist too! Purvi didn't say anything, but looked at Arjun completely lost with what was happening! Arjun took that as a cue and, pulled his chair close to that of Purvi and took her bowl to feed her! Purvi decided it would be wise to do as he say and not question him! She couldn't help but notice how fussy Arjun was being and how nervous he seemed!

The third time Arjun put a spoonful of ice-cream in Purvi's mouth, Purvi felt something unsual in her mouth……..

Something solid……

Unlike the melting Ice-cream……….

Something like a metal….

Something round in shape………

Like a……………

Like a ring……………

OMG Arjun!!This was his surprise!!!!Foolish me, it's a ring, OH GOD he proposed me and I was a fool enough to think……….

Purvi's thoughts were interrupted when she heard the bursting of crackers, she gasped, still with the ring in her mouth at what she saw on the sky!

A "WILL YOU MARRY ME?" signature with the crackers on the sky! She was absolutely speechless! She was feeling like a princess, she knew that she was no princess but Arjun was definitely her prince charming!

Purvi looked at Arjun, with tears in her eyes! He was no longer nervous; he had a huge smile on his face! Arjun held Purvi's hands gently and bent down on his knees! At that time Purvi understood, all this was planned, the ring in her favourite desert, the crackers, and the proposal! She noticed how cleverly, Arjun managed all this without making her suspicious about his proposal! Purvi's chain of thoughts was broken by Arjun's voice!

Arjun: Purvi, today makes it five years that we are together, I've lived them like I never did before! I've always loved you and I promise I will continue to do for the rest of my life! I don't promise that i'll get you stars from the sky, because i'm not capable to do so, but I do promise you that i'll never make you regret spending your life with me! I swear, the only tears that would come out, out of those pretty eyes of yours would be that of happiness! I promise you that I would always make you smile and I can't promise that i'll protect you from any problems coming to your way but I promise that i'll do my best! Though I already know the answer, and all this is merely a formality, I still want to ask you, WILL YOU CHANGE YOUR NAME FOR ME AND BE PURVI KIRLOSKAR FROM NOW ON………..

Overcome by her emotions, Purvi bent down to Arjun's level and hugged him fiercely, nearly making him fall backward! She removed the ring which was still in her mouth and spoke;

Purvi: I would be glad to be a Kirloskar!

She didn't need to say anymore, she didn't feel she had to! She was overwhelmed with love for the man in her arms! Still in his arms, she looked at the ring, it was simple yet elegant, a solitary diamond surrounded by the platinum band! She closed her palms around it and wound her arms around Arjun, giving him yet another bone crushing hug!

After sometime, Purvi detached herself from his arms making Arjun sigh and say laughingly;

Arjun: Purvi, your face after the time I told you that………he couldn't complete his entire phrase as he started laughing very badly, at Purvi's reaction earlier on…

Purvi simply puched him slightly and gave him a side hug!

Arjun: You looked ready to kill me!

With that, Arjun continued to laugh at her much to the displeasure of Purvi! It was then that Purvi realized how wrong she was about Arjun! He would never ever give up on us! Never! She smiled in his arms and realized how lucky she was to have him in her life.

Purvi: SO, this was all planned!

Arjun: Yes.

Purvi: Since when?

Arjun: Actually I wanted to propose you for marriage a long time ago but then I would I should surprise you big times! Then, I remembered our anniversary was coming so I decided to propose you in a unique way on that day! I thought you would get a hint that I was going to propose you, but you thought about a break up, so I let you think along those lines!

Purvi: Had a lot of fun scaring the hell of me!

Arjun: I won't lie, I did!

Purvi: Arjun, you were scared when I was eating the ice-cream, right?

Arjun: No, I was not scared just a little nervous and that's it!

Purvi was happy at the turns of events today, but she didn't want Arjun to have all the fun at her expense, so she decided to scare the latter a little with the genious idea in her mind.

Purvi: Arjun, thinking of that, where is the ring?

Arjun: What do you mean by where is the ring!

Purvi: I mean, I didn't remove it from my mouth, so where is it, Purvi asked faking nervousness!

Arjun: If you didn't remove it, it must have fallen down right, let's find it!

After five minutes of searching the ring which has supposedly fallen down, but was actually in Purvi's hands, Purvi said;

Purvi: Arjun i'm feeling very weird from the insides……..Arjun I feel as if I've swallowed the ring….

At that Arjun's eyes widened and he looked at her absolutely shocked! Purvi faked a cough, which made Arjun even more scared!

Arjun(fussy and scared): Why the hell did I have to put that bloody ring in the ice-cream, of course you could have swallowed it, what was wrong with me! But, Purvi don't be scared, we will go to the doctor and everything would be fine, nothing would happen to you, Arjun completed his long speech in one breath…….

After his speech, Purvi started laughing confusing Arjun this time! She laughed hard at the face he made! Finally Purvi decided to tell him the truth lest he considers her mad!

Purvi: And that was how your daddy proposed me! Purvi told her six year old daughter who had asked her mother to tell her, how his daddy had proposed her!

Arjun came to his living room and saw his wife and daughter on the sofa, apparently having a funny conversation. He went closer to them, and heard that they were talking about how scared he was when he proposed her for marriage!

Arjun: Peachy, ask mama how scared she was before I proposed her! She thought I was leaving her…

Peachy was how Arjun had nicknamed his daughter since the time she was born! After the day he proposed her in style with the peach Ice-cream, Purvi ate a lot of peach flavoured things and in fact she craved a lot for peach during her pregnancy, so that was how the nickname came!

Purvi looked angrily at Arjun preventing him from telling more than was need to her daughter! Anger was on her nose these days, Arjun and his peachy was always irritating her about how fat she looked with her bulging stomach! Purvi turned her face towards the T.V and Arjun and his cutie little peachy looked at each other exasperated! Mama was going to need another pacifying session!

Arjun went to the kitchen with her daughter cuddled in his arms. He looked on for the ingrediants for semolina! Apparently this time she craved a lot for semolina and Arjun wondered if he was going to nickname his second baby as semolina!
