Saw the episode just now for the first time and I must say, all of you were absolutely right.. Rithvik as Arjun is just fantastic. Today, he portrayed his emotions so quitely and subtlely, you cannot help but have your heart fill with such sadness that does not seem to go away. Starting from his recalling the previous bridge scene to the end when he says "go purvi.." with such a heartbreaking look in eyes, it was flawlessly performed. Rithvik impressed me today like never before. I say this every time, we have a moving Arjun scene, but every time it seems to be beyond compare than the one before. Yes, HATS OFF, Rithvik Dhanjani.. There can never be a better or even close enough Arjun ever.
Ajun's love for Purvi, and his willingness to go to any length for her happiness has been termed as his weakness by quite a few, but that is his greatest strength. It is a matter of contention whether the lady in question deserves it or not. But, when it is matters of the heart, one does not have a right to question another on it. He has proved and lived by what he said to Archana, "Ise khud se zyaada pyar karoonga main"..How true are those few words ! If you just look at his actions, and do not understand really the intent behind them, it is very easy to be disparaging about Arjun. It is Purvi's misfortune that she does not recognize his worth and tries to set the world right in her own misguided ways. He even lets her go today, thinking that she has really moved on and does not belong to him anymore. All he still thinks about is her happiness in life and wants her to have a better life than his. One should be so lucky to have a person love you as such, who puts you above himself. It is Arjun's misfortune too that he fell in love with such a person who does not recognize it. Even if she does, somewhere in her heart, she does not give precedence to it. That is a bigger tragedy for both.
Despite his follies and stumbles, for me, Arjun has always been a person to be liked and loved and will always be. Today N Always..
