You see, Varsha my dear, I am relatively new to the forum, only since April last year. and so I had not seen such things and so I was shocked.

By the way, what is an AT?

When it comes to Ovi and understanding her plight frustration and pain Deshmukhs are oblivious..They have Purvi tyaag & Mahaanta chashma on just like they do for sanskari Archana..
Shyamala dear to support a lead couple fans or supporter would wish anything or want who ever is in the way to Die..
We have seen the poison-bashing on Shravni...Now we see it towards Ovi, Onir..
Forget abt hoping unthinkable for the characters or babies but in AT members who have diff opinions are being thrashed and made fun of..I dont go to any AT but once in a while I glance if there is no other interesting topic around..
NEways EK and CVs are the only one who knows where they will take PR..For me it was done the day ArMan took their first divorce 2 + yrs back..I stayed for few friends and their comments..

This is so true dabulls, and the members say they can do anything in a AT thread. I never visit too, but read in in another thread, what was being said on a non-Arvian openly...and that it seems is acceptable according to forum rules...funny...

that's what I read ..In fact this is the main reason why Ankita is leaving ...another generation leap.
Most probably Arjun will fall head over heels fall in Purvi ( he already was but will be even more so after knowing he is the father of the baby ) and then Onir will sacrifise and then instead of going to Arjun, Purvi will stil lgo back to Onir saying our rishta is too strong to break and all that...
So then it will be a proven fact that marriage ( Pavitra Rishta ) is the ultimate thing ...
Purvi's character will look good that she did not abandon the simple underdog ( Onir ) and did not go to fancy looking ex lover ( Arjun ) ..
but what i wan tto know , why kill poor Arjun's character even more so ...Why make hi mlook like SRK of Kabhi alvida na kehna ...the creep who left his wife and son for the woman he loved ...
OK, many of us do not like Ovi ( me as well ) but why the poor baby ...why fall in love with Purvi again when she is someone else's wife and your wife is about to have your baby ...
Arjun's character was already looking so bad and it is going to be made worse I think ...🤢

Seriously Tanyaz...so really no Arvi union😕...it is a way to keep Arvian dangling and have another leap and (maybe) unite them in old age😊. Show that Ovi become a really bitter and a sorry example of a person drinking scheming and fighting with Arjun, and Arjun just accept all these for his sacch pyaar…then what about Onir…live with Purvi like a sibling….unbelievable….Ekta, I guess knows very well her audience, who care not for any logic whatsoever😉

Of course I am not all that sure Kalapi but I have this feeling that if Arjun and purvi were to get together then Onir would have turned negative ...but making him an even better person ( sacrifising his love for Purvi's happiness ) I just do not think Ekta's writers will show Purvi dumping a nice husband like him...It will make her character look bad ...
I don't know what will happen to Ovi ..The article neither mentions her nor does it have her picture ...Who knows, maybe they will kill the character as she is not feeling well and probably will drink again and then will get sick ...
I have no idea about Ovi but just have this feeling that Onir will pass the final test of love ( in Purvi's eyes ) once he lets her go to Arjun and she will not go back to Arjun ...See how they have started a subtle sort of love story of Onir and Purvi ...they would not have done that if Purvi was to leave him for Arjun...
The way Purvi was looking at her husabnd when putting the quilt on him ...didn't look all that ' just friendly ' to me ...😆

Shyamala - Re Purvi's baby - Right there with you. This is a really terrible story line.

Re todays episode - The writers are pathetic. They cannot create a plot and screenplay that is logical, consistent and can create drama. They use cheap tricks to confuse the audience and create drama. The only way they can show a twist is to butcher a character and make him/her completely unlike what they have been for the previous 6 months or year. Or blatantly ignore something they have shown before - like Purvi's non-pregnant state for about 2 episodes and suddenly heavily pregnant or this sleeping together,

I am willing to suspend reality when it comes to the law or medical practice -lets just pretend EKland has different rules and laws of science are also different from the real world. But, characters and stories need to be internally consistent.

This is where the Harry Potter series is SO successful. We know the rules of the wizarding world are different but how wonderfully has J K Rowlings kept the characters and story consistent and !!!

Dear Kools,

Same here. The day they confirm that Purvi's baby is Arjun's I am out for keeps. I cannot stand all this disgraceful stuff. Will be good for me, I dare say, and in more ways than just saving my nerves. With all this frantic posting that I have been doing these last few days, very largely supporting Onir or because of him, now my sound right wrist has also started acting up. It is clearly time to junk PR.

As for the Mouni Roy show, it must be the one that started 2 months ago on the DKD Mahadev channel. I do not watch it, but it is called Junoon - Aisi Nafrat, toh Kaisa Ishq

Today's episode was curiously ambiguous, with Onir asking whether the family should be told (about something) and Purvi nixing it. Initially I thought it was about the baby - for they talk so many times of their marriage, including today, that one cannot question that. Finally, after listening to Purvi talk to herself about Onir still being angry with her and expressing her confidence that he will soon understand her and forgive her, plus that soft little scene with the sun in his face and the pillow, I concluded that he was miffed by what she had done and that was his way of showing it. And that his question had also been about that. Especially when Purvi compares their relationship to that of her sainted aai-baba (in effect, though she says she is not doing it), and Onir refers again to his biwi and his bachcha. And as Varsha points out so pertinently, he was sleeping in their bed in Kolkatta.

As for not getting too attached to Onir, as Jyothi was advising me, I suppose she is right, but then again, if one is not attached to any character in the serial, then why watch it? I watch PR now basically for Onir, as my old favourites have had all their charm and appeal and personality leached out of them courtesy the CVs, and I do not care a hoot for the rest. I know that Onir might not last ( but then again, if there is another major leap come summer, he will), but even if he is here only for a while, I will enjoy his scenes while they are there. He is so transparently loving and caring towards his wife that it warms one's heart to see it.

Onir apart, the only person in PR who entertains me these days is Punni the Python. I am in stitches contemplating the fate that awaits the sleazy Malik (or Mittal, as he is suddenly called of late' I think a departing CV forgot to give his successor the cast of characters!) as Punni the Python tightens her coils around him oh so slo,,,owly. 😉

Dear Strega,

Ah, a fellow Harry Potter aficionada! 🤗🤗

To my mind. JK Rowling's success was not only in creating a splendidly detailed and internally consistent alternative world, but in still keeping it recognisable, like a sort of combination of Enid Blyton and JRR Tolkien. Plus the core values were very simple: friendship, loyalty, compassion even to the likes of Draco Malfoy (remember when Harry saves him from the Fyiend Fire that one of his cohorts unleashes by mistake?), and above all and again, consistency. We the readers are never worried that Hermione and Ron will suddenly start undermining Harry, no matter how crabby and unreasonable he is at times.

Then, as a sort of crowning glory, the ultimate embodiment of a truly Pavitra Rishta, that of Severus Snape with the woman he loves beyond her death, and I am sure his as well. I never forget the scene between him and Dumbledore, in chapter 33 of the Deathly Hallows, when Snape releases his own Patronum, the silver doe, which is the same as Lily's. When Dumbledore asks "After all these years?", Snape replies "Always." Can any other love match his?

As for PR, it is a joke, and a bad one that is getting worse all the time. There, that should be enough to keep me from being warned for going 100% off topic!😉

Shyamala

PS: What is your name, my dear, unless you would rather keep it confidential?.
