As for your question, how can a grown up adult be changed, if change was that easy, people could just go to prison on a vacation😆 and a Gandhi could have come out…no, jail isn't a place that that Valmikis are born (although, there are exceptions), but I believe, in those cases, there was a life changing event that makes that person introspective and undergo deep penance. Here, I don't see a life changing event happening nor a possibility of one that makes Soham undergo a deep sense of regret or remorse, something that will result in the re-birth of his soul….just sending a person to jail, who isn't undergoing penance in some way isn't going make anything happen..he is already mature and set in his ways…in the company of more hardened criminals, he will only hardened more…btw, found the Canadian reference 😕, does it mean –Indians in India accepts criminals more easily😆😉…
