Varsha either they are purposely kept dowdy to make the mother look beautiful or the actresses don't mind this at all

the mother is looking too youthful

if the cvs r this not bothered now about the show why are they flogging a dead horse and pulling it on ...i heard NBTNNKK went off air although it started Much after PR and was much better scriptwise ...it too was very popular ...why don't they end this too ...instead of showing such rubbish and paying no heed to even the dressing up of the acting crew

They should have brought some other lady to play Varsha's character after the leap.. She looks younger than her son..

They sure ended first season of NBTNMKK last wk...Actually they decided at the last minute to bring another season...So we have to wait and see..
But honestly PR should have been a yr or 18 mo serial...had a great protential to be a super duper one as the way it started out but than it all got messed up with the first divorce, trp game and all...Lost focus and stretched, dragged with multiple leaps...TV serials honestly do not need leaps...Make up on more realistic bases and viewers will enjoy...Look most american daytime soaps are going on for almost 30-40 yrs and one does not lose interest...Indian serials all start out great than they stretch it to beyond repair, do not know what to do, one day they end it in a rush which does not make sense...
Yeah I agree abt the dressing up part...As long as the lead is happy in doing what ever she wants to and CVs - EK is ok we have to bear it all...So keep watching..
As you, Kalapi and I agree watching Ramayan & Devo ke dev Mahadev is better proposition at this time than PR.😳
I rather get doze of sanskars from mythological stories than Fictional with opsided story, not owning upto their mistakes and all in the name of love-mahanta-tyaag and sanskars hogwash.🤢

Kools,

Thanks. That made me feel better about Arjun at least!

@blue: I agree with you in toto. I too remarked that passage between Manav and Archana when he was falling all over himself (just when she had made a half-hearted confession that it was all her fault about Soham - a first for She Who Can Do No Wrong!) trying to exculpate her, and if I could have done it without damaging the TV, I would have clouted him one good and proper - I was that exasperated.

It is the same about Arjun. I could never understand how any staffer could survive in a post after being as appallingly rude to the boss as Purvi was shown as being, no matter how rude the boss was. It is simply not possible. At least when Archana came and yelled at him in her typical fashion in his office (the only thing missing was the pointing of beige stick on nails to within a foot of his face) she was protected by Manav's guarantee of no firing for the senior staff. But Purvi is not covered by this, and yet she carried on in that fashion.

Now, when Arjun met her at her house soon after his marriage, I thought he would be stiff and angry with her, which is what she deserved. But no, far from his rising above his weakness for her, as you have noted, here we are with him running after her in such a pathetic fashion, without an iota of self-respect. I could not take it any more, and if he had been my son, I would have given him a thrashing he would remember for the rest of his life. I dislike wimps, intensely, and that is what they have made him now. He is even worse now than in the weeks when he was engaged to Ovi and mooning after Purvi. It must be all that Tang!

In fact, PR is by now totally adrift and I do not think anyone, especially the CVs, has any idea where it is going.

Manav seems to be barely conscious of the risk he is running in hostile territory, with Archana like a millstone round his neck, and no protection of any kind. Even the otherwise bright Teju, after watching Varsha do an aarti of Vishnu, cannot, as you have noted, put 2 and 2 together and deduce that this is her son, and ergo, that it is Soham dada.

It is going to be one peach of a scene when it finally dawns on the Three Stooges that Vishnu is Soham!

Then of course, Balan, faced with this counterclaim to his lalla, just might knife Manav and dump him in a ditch. That man means business, and he is one dangerous guy. I would not want to meet him down a dark street at night, or in fact down any street in the day either.

Your post made me laugh especially Teju the beanpole .šŸ˜†šŸ˜†šŸ˜† Yes it was very comical , the following of Varsha . Very very comical .šŸ˜†

Regarding Arjun . I don't like what they are doing to his characterization at all . They can give him some very power packed dialogues and show him as a disillusioned man and him returning to being a professional but no . They are butchering him at the cost of showing that only Purvi has all the sanskaars not the Canada returned businessman who is otherwise a prize catch for his wealth .

It is strange but the very wealth that is frowned down upon by the leading ladies in this serial is the hall mark of the lead heroes and the leading heroines roam in AC cars or go on shopping sprees .

Also the wealth is earned only by the men not by the ladies . The ladies upwardly give no importance to it but plonk their each crisis on the men and solve each crisis of theirs using the men's money .

Not a single character in this show pulls up the leading ladies for this hypocrisy .

This show is extremely unfair to the leading men ...be it Manav or Arjun . Their only job is to run like puppy dogs after the leading ladies ,leave their families , wealth and parents and responsibilities for them and this is projected as 'love' in this serial .

A question comes to my mind . These serials are primarily for ladies . Do ladies really swallow this ?

Yes they do ...they love romance . It is a good timepass . But if one thinks ...although the females would love having a man this besotted by them they would also hate seeing their sons and brothers behave this way . There are two sides to a woman .

We see a scene ...finally some of us are read and a scene is put in . Archana admits briefly and hesitatantly that indeed it was her mistake to not listen to her husband and give her child to her sick sister .

But immediately we see Manav drowning her admission by reinforcing that he had done a mistake ...a bigger mistake . When the reality is that the man had done no mistake . The false case on him and the loss of his child were all Archana's doing and the least she could do was apologise genuinely for her mistake . We as viewers did not expect much and we never got to see it .

Same in the Arjun Purvi love story . Purvi bartered him . Purvi has done no tyaag . Ovi may be the villain but she showed Purvi up . But we don't see Arjun even realising this . What do we see ...he thinikng she is simply wonderful and running after her.

When Arjun first arrived in India and was met at the company gates with threats of a case and a strike by Purvi he told her coldly but politely that they could discuss this in his cabin instead of the compound of his company . I had found Purvi lacking in decorum then and everything that he suggested as correct . The CVs showed it as his arrogance but he was right . It was she who was wrong . She handled the retrenchment issue all wrong and even now she is the major culprit in this barter .

His fault was his weakness for her . That is a human failing .They could have shown him rising above his weakness and realising some hometruths and telling Purvi exactly what he felt ...they could have shown him working again to get away from it all . But they are hell bent on destroying the male lead and projecting the female lead who has done wrong as ' sanskaari' . This is the speciality of this show .

Even i would have given my son a verbal thrashing if he behaved like Arjun . The conclusion i have come to after watching Ekta Kapoor serials is that zero self respect from the men is the eqivalent of 'love' . Self respect, morals ,principles are only the virtues of a woman . They are there only to make immense money [ which the beautiful women give no value] which comes in handy to solve the innumerable problems of the women and procreate , bas .

This zero self respect from the lovelorn men may be considered as romantic or something and may give the women a high but when the tables are turned and their own son or brother behaves like this , is used like this and bartered like this ...anger sets in .

They could have shown for instance Vandu going to Archana's maika and questioning her and her mother for the ill that befell their family ever since their association with the Karanjkars . They could have shown a brother sister fight when Manav publicly humiliated his mother and said he was ashamed of being born of her womb . Someone needed to give Savita's pov and honestly it would have been interesting drama but nope . They have not utilized Vandu's character at all ...she does not have the same loyalty to her mother that Archana has .

Everyone in this show is turned into Archana's chamcha ...Manav , her nanand , her sasur , her abandoned children ...and the toughest nut to crack ...een Savita . This it seems is the only solution .

Puri needs a verbal lashing but to do this Arjun should at least understand or realize that he has been used na . So the CVs are purposefully showing this as some 'tyaag' and pushing the reality under the rug as public memory is short and they are suckers for romance .
