Now back to my story-What Purvi should do?

D clan house.

Archana and Manav walk in. They see Arjun, Purvi and Sachin are sleeping on the sofa.

Archana :- Where is the fourth?

Manav :- Let me check.

Manav sees Tej sleeping. He covers her with the blanket and kisses her forehead. He comes out; he sees the three of them sleeping cutely. Manav takes his camera and takes a picture of the three.

Manav :- This is probably one of the best picture I have taken.

He sees Archana making coffee in the kitchen.

Manav :- Go easy on them.

Archana :- They got drunk.

Manav :- They were just having some fun.

Archana is quiet.

Manav :- Besides, they are not small children anymore.

Archana :- To a mother no matter how old her child gets, they are still her babies.

Manav :- Purvi will get married soon.

Archana :- She is still my daughter.

Archana takes the coffee and goes to the hall. She bangs it on the table.

Arjun, Purvi and Sachin wake up. Purvi stands up.

Purvi :- Aai…

Archana is looking at Purvi.

Purvi :- I can explain.

Archana :- Really? Alright then, tell me why did you drink so much? Is this what I have thought you?

Purvi :- No.

Archana :- Then, what made you drink so much?

Purvi is looking at Sachin.

Purvi :- I can't remember.

Archana :- CAN'T REMEMBER?

Arjun and Sachin are closing their ears.

Archana is taking the video camera and hooking it to the Tv.

Arjun whispers to Sachin.

Arjun :- Aunty is really angry.

Sachin :- You think?

Arjun :- What are we going to do?

Sachin :- Nothing.

Arjun is looking at Sachin.

Sachin :- Never get into a mother-daughter relationship. Mother's become like mama bears if you do.

Arjun has a puzzled looked.

Sachin :- I know this is all new to you. Don't worry when you marry Purvi and join this family, you will get used to it. We are full of drama.

Arjun is looking at Sachin.

Sachin :- Maybe I should quit being a lawyer and become a writer. I can become rich just writing all this drama for some production.

Arjun shakes his head.

Sachin :- What? Bad idea?

Arjun :- I think you are still drunk.

Purvi sits back with Arjun and Sachin.

Archana starts the recording.

Archana :- Aditi's son was kind enough to record it after Tej gave him the camera.

It's the recording of Purvi's birthday party after Manav has gone to check up on Archana.

Aditi :- The music player is not working. Without music how are we going to dance and enjoy.

Tej :- Don't worry, Sachin dada can sing. He is a very good singer.

Aditi :- Really? Sachu please sing a song.

Sachin :- All right.

Aditi :- Usually people take time to say ok to sing and dance.

Tej :- He is already drunk, that's why.

Sachin starts singing… Madhubala (Mere Brother ki Dulhan)

sar ghoome chakkar khaye (Head revolves, I feel dizzy),

dil dil se takkar khaye (the heart bumps into heart),

Main khoya ke tu kho gaya (I got lost or u got lost),

The chawl people are playing the music…

Arjun, Sachin, Tej and Purvi are singing, dancing and drinking bhang…

Back to D clan house.

Purvi is watching the video and closes her mouth with her hand; she is too shocked to see what she did.

Archana is looking at all three. Manav is smiling behind Archana.

Chawl people are screaming for another song.

Sachin :- Come on Arjun, you turn.

Arjun :- I can't sing.

Sachin :- Of course you can. You are a hero, which hero can't sing.

Arjun :- That's in the movies. This is real life. Besides I have only seen four movies. I don't know any songs.

Sachin is thinking of Ria and starts singing Mere Brother Ki Dulhan - Do Dhaari Talwaar song. They are all singing and dancing.

D clan house.

Purvi is closing her face with her hand and is taking a peak with through her fingers. She can't believe she was drinking bhang and dancing with Arjun in front of everyone. Purvi thinks, No wonder aai is so angry.

Arjun and Sachin are high fiving each other.

Arjun :- Yaar, I didn't know you can sing.

Sachin :- You can really dance. Man, you could easily win Jhalak Dikhla Jaa. Your dance is simply awesome and fantastic.

Arjun :- Thank you.

Archana is staring at both of them. They become quiet.

Archana :- Let me see, how many did you drink?

Purvi is quiet.

Archana :- Not one, not two, not three, not even five but SEVEN. You drank seven glasses. WHAT WERE YOU THINKING?

Sachin :- Seven? Baby sister, what stamina you can stand after seven. Great.

Archana :- Don't even get me started on you Sachin.

Seeing Sachin teasing Purvi and Archana scolding her, Manav takes the remote and fast forwards it to today morning where, Arjun and Sachin are sleeping in the hall…

Flashback-blue part flashback.

Arjun :- Purvi, I love you.

Arjun is playing with Sachin's hair.

Purvi is looking at both of them.

Purvi :- You thought dada was me?

Arjun is too shocked.

Sachin :- What were you thinking?

Manav :- Oh, just wait. The best part is yet to come.

Sachin takes Arjun's hand close to his heart.

Sachin :- Will you marry me?

Sachin and Arjun are looking at each other and they look away. They are both shy and speechless.

Purvi :- Ria?

Arjun :- I think I better go.

Manav :- So fast, no beta sit and drink some coffee it will be good for your headache.

Arjun :- It's ok uncle. I feel great now besides I have a meeting.

Arjun :- Bye aunty, bye Purvi. I will see you later.

Manav is laughing.

Arjun looks at Sachin and rushes out…

Outside the D house.

Arjun bangs his head with his hand.

Arjun :- Idoat. What would uncle and aunty think now?

Arjun shakes his head and hits it again.

Arjun :- Stupid, fool, idoat.

Arjun thinks about the scene again. He hits his forehead again.

Arjun :- with Sachin. I need a drink just to forget what I saw.

D house.

Sachin :- I think I also better go to work.

Sachin gets up to go to the bathroom.

Purvi :- but who is Ria?

Sachin :- Baba will tell you.

Sachin rushes to the bathroom.

He is holding his head.

Sachin :- Thank God it was Purvi and not Tej. Tej will never let me forget such an incident. I must make sure she never tells Tej.

Archana is staring at Purvi.

Archana :- He thought you didn't he.

Purvi :- Who?

Archana :- That brother of yours.

Purvi :- No.

Archana :- You didn't do all this before he come to your life, you didn't drink before now you are drinking. This is not how I raised you.

Purvi :- Yes, it was my fault but he has nothing to do with it.

Archana :- I am tired of hearing you protecting him and that family of yours.

Purvi :- I am telling you the truth aai. Dada had nothing to do with me drinking. It was…

Sachin :- me. I mixed bhang with her orange juice. She didn't know. Then she got drunk and started to drink the rest. It was my fault aai, I gave her the first drink.

Archana looks at Sachin.

Archana :- Today not only my daughter but my son has also disappointed me.

Archana goes to the kitchen while Purvi goes to her room.

Manav :- Sachin, this is not Canada. Girls here don't drink.

Sachin :- I am sorry baba, but it wasn't alcohol it was just a little bhang.

Manav :- To your mother it is the same thing. You know how protective she is of Purvi. I know she overreacted a bit but she feels Purvi family is going to take her away and seeing Purvi in a different way just made her more insecure.

Sachin is quiet.

Manav :- Don't worry, I will talk to your mother.

Sachin goes to his room.

Manav :- Don't think I forgot about Ria. We will talk soon about that.

P/S the Madhubala (Mere Brother ki Dulhan) song…to those of you who haven't seen it. Please check it out. You will see that is a great bhang song. Imagine Arjun as Imran Khan, Sachin as Ali Zafar, Purvi as Katrina Kaif and Tej as Tej. Unfortunately there are only three main in the original song but here in my OS there are four.
