Realistically speaking, you are right, it was unsafe for Manav to go alone, who knows what these kidnappers might have done. Arjun following him was as natural as Arjun getting Purvi out of the car. Both Arjun and Purvi did not see Vishnu put the gun to Manav's head. Yes Arjun being there inadvertently put both Manav and Purvi in danger but what if Vishnu was not the long lost sanskari Soham who in spite of being a goon was going to abide by principles and keep his word of letting Purvi go once he had the money? Then Manav venturing alone would have put him in grave danger. It was foolish of everyone to let Manav go out alone to face a bunch of criminals.
