Having read the comments from the Arjun Rescue Squad forum members about how poor AK has changed from the confident, self-assured, arrogant to the point of cocky Arjun Kirloskar to the "sirring", almost timid, confused (at the police station) Arjun in recent episodes, I am compelled to take up the cudgels against the very squad (PAP, is that what Shyamala called it?) that is Pro-Arjun.

Arjun has nicely matured, today's scene was in marked contrast to his stuttering, stuck on the same note "listen to me" business when Purvi and him were at loggerheads over his engagement with Ovi. All he could do then was drag Purvi into dark corners and overpower her with inane repetitions of the same silly refrain. Now, we have an Arjun who is confident in his prowess to win his dainty damsel, emphatic in his belief that he will like Sir Galahad sweep her away from her mother's house, and persistent in his assurances that they will have a life together be it eating pav together at midnight stalls or working together at the office. I am reveling in this new avatar of the spoiled rotten heir to the Kirloskar empire. Yes, the champions of Arjun will tell me, he was always honorable, always kind, etc. etc. Not refuting that at all, nor am I begrudging his "good intentions". I am merely relishing the fact that his rough edges have been nicely hewn; he is a delight to watch as a young man with no hang-ups about wealth or position. It is a very nice character accessory to his always self-possessed demeanor, which has now become tinged with an unshakeable belief in his own self-worth and capabilities. He can weather any storm for Purvi, he can travel to the ends of the earth, he can slay dragons, conquer all odds, he is that confident of his love, no more waiting for the right time, the right people. The world be damned, he is a young man in love and he means to succeed in his quest to carry off his lady love, no bets about it.

Arjun aka Arjun Kirloskar, you truly have become a young man deserving of Purvi's hand. Kudos to you.

Yes but Miss Jhanvi...Why can he not be the dragon slayer, princess rescuer, and all of the above while at the same time being a confident, strong, well-educated master of a corporate empire...who is deeply and happily sharing an all-consuming love with Miss Purvi? Is it necessary to strip him of his name, family, background, dignity, and business suits, turn him into a car mechanic, dump him in a chawl, make him wear those god-awful plaid shirts (although the maroon shirt/jeans do suit him quite well I must say), and take away his strong manly voice in the bargain?? I cannot stand seeing my poor ladla folding hands in front of everyone and "sirring everyone in sight"...including the Dahi Hahndi team captain!!!

Good observation...sirring the Dahi Hahndi team captain is the worst part :( felt so sad the way he was pleading with him...

Archana,

I agree with you 101%.

And Janhvi, we of the PAP *Protect Arjun Project) do not like trespassers poaching on our territory and trying to tell us how we should value our boy. We have stood by him thru thick and thin when the likes of you were busy carving him up for real and imagined character flaws (mostly the latter), and we find it funny to see the former Arjun-bashers now bashing us for reading our ladla the riot act when we think he needs it. 😉😉😉

You are of course welcome to join the APP, with Laurie's permission.

Shyamala

Lol, lol, quite the strong squadron here :)

Arjun ki ma, he didn't have to become a chawlwallah to sport this new avatar but becoming a chawlwallah or more importantly his love for my ladli has turned him from a rough diamond into an exquisite jewel worthy of pride. Some people emerge with the current characteristics of Arjun without trial by fire, your poor ladla had to face the fear of rejection and being spurned by his sasuma before he could undergo this metamorphosis! :) no complaints, whatsoever, the boy is resplendent in his new glory :)

Shyamala, as the ladla is my damaad, I will have to think long and hard about joining h PAP or APP as my loyalties will forever lie with my beti so not sure if acquiescing to defend Arjun will compromise that right! :)

Jyothi, how the tides have turned, ha! Yes, even the beti walli is now all admiration for Mr. AK.

Sorry for any typos, on my phone, in the car :)

Hahaha I loved reading the replies posted here in this thread. But yes,Arjun has managed to win my support completely by refusing Purvi's suggestion to go an tell Archana about Churan's treatment. It SHOWS that he has SUCH a big heart.

For some odd reason. I expected Purvi to be a little more shocked/concerned about Churan's accident. Arjun seemed to be more attached to him than Purvi
