I knew that this kind of analytical post, that is not about the Ds and the Ks or a romantic interlude, will not attract half the eyeballs as one about RD's latest interview, but I did it because I was rather dismayed at the almost total disregard of this angle in the comments on yesterday's update. It was almost as if it had not happened, or was at best a comma in the narrative.

I do agree that the CVs are rarely logical, but this is a murder charge, and they cannot show Arjun getting out by defending himself. That is a non-starter, and will be a straight road to a life sentence. Just look at the way he was reacting when he was taken off by the cops, he was quite rattled, poor boy! It will need independent investigation, rounding up witnesses, and proving Arjun's alibi. That is not going to be easy. No one would have kept track of the exact times when he arrived at the hospital and so on.

Let us see what happens. If he does not call his dad at once, and is foolish enough to decide that he will not risk losing the challenge, he will be a goner and will lose it anyway, and Purvi would be married with 3 kids by the time he comes out! I do hope that AK, who has plenty of brains, will use them and not delay matters.

Finally, Sachin has a Canadian law practice licence, and even if he was a criminal lawyer, which I doubt, he would not be allowed to plead any case in an Indian court.

Even if Puru as Sachin is gone, they might get someone else to play Sachin the lawyer. Maybe they ask Sachin, the oh-so-great lawyer to take up the case, he refuses (Arjun has hurt his poor sister) and BAM in comes Soham to take up AK's case! Dear Trina,

I am glad you read the piece and liked it. Yes, there are SO many question still up in the air, but then this is not a courtroom drama or an episode of Crime Patrol (which is often excellent, even if mostly very depressing) , so many of them might remain unanswered. Let us see how things develop.

Please remember one very important point: there is NO bail for a murder charge,and no CV can dilute that.

some points of my own:

1. dead or alive?

-well if its a mere kidnapping...

-then surely the kidnappers will not lose the person this way! has to be a kidnapping gone wrong...

-the person probably is gagged n tied for long, as he is unconscious..(time frame?)

and most importantly... as u pointed out, arjun will b let off the hook easily... which is unlikely...😃

2. when was d body dumped in the boot?

-if arjun has not checked the trunk in d garage, it could be there from the start

-but then there is the hospital scene..

yes d body could be put in d boot at that time...

3. who will come to his rescue...

-well, first n foremost it would be nice to see arjun turn into the smart man that he is, n stop saying 'sir boss saab' "meine ye nahi kiya" and be more assertive...

-the garage owner, he has been good to arjun n im sure will testify for him

-archana n purvi... depends if he calls purvi from the jail

-DK, surely dad, wil bail him out ,if arjun decides to be a kirloskar(desperate times desparate measures)

other points/leads:

how did the cops reach d hospital?

what were they looking for? the car , a missing person?

the yelling match between arjun n d guard, n d doc intervening... will this help him in anyway?

if the body was put in d boot in hospital parkin lot, will d guard be of any help?

I went back and watched the last part again (ofcourse, wanted to thappad Manav, Had tears for Arjun again) anyway, i noticed that the cops never said that the guy was dead !! They just said, haath kholo or something like that, unbound his hands, tore the tape off his mouth and that is it. Maybe, maybe that guy was just unconscious.. Even with that, Arjun may still be in jail bec the guy might say he doesnt know who did it. But, atleast it is not a murder case. I am basing this on the fact that normally in hindi movies or soaps if the cops see a dead body, they do use the word, KHOON !! This didnt happen. I know i am shooting in the dark, but trying to stay optimistic.

I dont think Arjun will call DK, for this QM still has this name thing around him. He should first get the garage owner in there and start with him. I think Purvi will go and meet him, maybe with the Queen mothe in tow. If Archana has atleast an ounce of gratitude in her for what Arjun did today, she will let Purvi go or even go herself.

Poor boy, for no fault of his, he is getting beaten from all sides. My heart goes out for him :(

i think arcana will help arjun bcz of sulocana...as sulocona like him very much and arcanas stubborn mind is break but very slowly and also arcana start feel purvis pain...so she help arjun...

It might very well be that the body is not a corpse, but the cops would have said what they said in either case, as they would not have been sure at the beginning. I do hope to that it is not a dead body, but even then Arjun could be in bad trouble, as you have pointed out.

If Arjun calls the garage owner and starts with him, he is done for. The police are not going to let go of Arjun just because of the evidence of the garage owner, who cannot swear to anything except that the body was not in the car when it was in the garage.

Jyoti, this is a very serious matter, and it needs expert professional help and the best lawyer DK can get.When you get a heart attack, you don't go to the local quack! If Arjun still hangs on to his 'just Arjun', thing, he will go in straight for 14 years. That is for sure.

Jyoti, it is no great favour done to Arjun if Archana goes to see him in jail, or sends Purvi. What on earth do you think Archana can or will do for him? Who is she anyway? She is an 8th class pass, not a lawyer, and she has no money either. She did not even have the gratitude to say a word of thanks to the boy, and neither, for that matter, did Purvi. What can Purvi do for that matter. All that she can do now is to come and cry from the other side of the bars, making Arjun even more miserable, that is all.

I did not like the way Arjun panicked when he was being taken away by the cops. In such a calamity, one has to keep a cool head and that is what I would have expected of DK's son. On the contrary, just a few days of being a garage hand seems to have reduced Arjun to one, or almost so. Some more time doing the poor man act and he will completely forget how to be Arjun Kirloskar .

If I were DK, apart from fighting Arjun's case with all the strength and resources at his command, I would make Arjun come home as soon as (if) he gets out of jail. If Purvi loves him and wants to spend the rest of her life with him, she can make the running from now on. If she does not want to defy her mother, she can then marry a clone of Vinay and lead a sanskaari existence with a passel of kids.

I do not know what is going to happen in PR, except that what I had mentioned did happen in BALH, and that scenario was not too implausible either. Under such circumstances, being very high profile can some times be counter-productive - which is what was the case there.

But being very downmarket can be disastrous, as will be the case here unless Arjun goes back to being Arjun Kirloskar immediately and gets his dad into action. He has no money and no useful support at all - Purvi will just cry and not be a ha'penny worth of help.

Unless he acts sensibly and gets the best defence team possible ( and even then it will not be a cakewalk.), he will be convicted on the basis of circumstantial evidence and his denials, with nothing to back them will be taken apart by the prosecutor in court. He will have only a court-appointed lawyer who will have no interest in the case. The result will be a foregone conclusion.

As to what Purvi will do if he is sentenced, why for the first few months she will weep quietly in her room so as not to disturb her aai. Then, especially as they might have moved Arjun to a another jail in another city, she will stop crying. In due course, she will marry a clone of Vinay found for her by her mother and lead a quiet, contented life with a bunch of kids, free at last of the virus of love that she used to fear and disavow.

As for Arjun Kirloskar, he will end up with his life in a wreck, for having committed the folly of falling in love with this manhoos, aai-obsessed girl.
