My dear Kesha,

It pains me to see you planning out all these very sensible progressions of events to let Arjun down gently in a garage, but you should have known, my dear, that the CVs have little use of logic or even commonsense!

I shall not expatiate on the senselessness of today's PR, but you might like to see my separate post on it. At the very least, it should amuse you!

i am happy with the regression track (usually parents say progress in your field but archu is different i guess) as long as it shows some logic (in my dreams😆). i would love the track to go in a synchronized way.

1) they should show arjun to be searching for jobs and facing hardships due to the lack of documents/certificates rather then coming home one day saying "i m a mechanic"😵
2) one of the chawl guy who sees his need for job should tell him that he needs help in his garage and if he could help him casually (very illogical i know). at first arjun should hesitate coz of the lack of knowledge in this field, but later agree and ask that very same man to teach him the basic
3) he should face difficulty in this job and do many mistakes but then with self motivated talks from purvi he promises to give his best and earn his money yeah with lots of difficulties.

if they show such track step by step i dont have any problem.

and also no recycling of arman track, i never saw PR but i know it was the top show with best TRP's but i cannot stand the same crying story with less happiness and more torture. ArVi are unique and their story was crafted very nicely so the cv's better progress their story in a much better way without any influence of the arman track. arvi supports each other and there is no communication gap which makes them different from arman, so pls no recycling stuff.

dear shyamala ji
i am down right ashamed of myself to even think that the cv's will think logically. All my hopes crashed down and yeah i will go through your posts on which i have not commented from the past few epis as well as read your post for todays epi.
wish they could have kept arvi unique and away from arman's story

No. Esha, not even then. You do not make a Derby winner pull a coal cart. He will be operating at far below his potential, and he will not be good at pulling the coal cart either. It is utter nonsense. Why, by this logic, Purvi should set up shop as a kaamwalibai to highlight the dignity of labour!

Why would Arjun, a well educated guy, suddenly turn into a mechanic is really beyond my imagination 😡...seems like the CV's have run out of ideas.

This story was nice for ArMan, but not for ArVi...I mean this couple has its own charm and own potential, why do they want ArVi to walk in the shoes of ArMan ???? I just don't understand this at all.
Why don't they come with a unique stroyline for ArVi...I don't seem to understand why ArVi always have to be in the shadow of ArMan...
Unless one day Arjun becomes the owner of the garage 😆 😆.

Laurie,

You are dead right.

We loved Arjun as he was - a dominating young man born to succeed. Not this wimpish new Arjun who falls at Archana's feet, and when she rebuffs him and does not give him the aashirwaad he seeks, is quite satisfied that she did not kick his hands away!

I was so exasperated by all these meaningless goings on, which only reflect the total poverty of imagination and creativity among the so-called Creatives, that I changed my mind and sent in a separate post with the title Out of Character. You will enjoy it; after all, there is nothing else to be done but laugh, at PR and at ourselves for hanging in there regardless.

When I say Arjun's lost his fire I mean I think of him as a take charge, 'go get 'em', no nonsense type guy.
Don't get me wrong I'm totally in his corner but I guess with all the drastic changes in his life his soul searching is taking the forefront. Nothing wrong with that!
I just want to see the 'old' Arjun and Purvi back one day - strong, unbeatable and united forever!
That's my version of fire!

Dear Archana,

You should thank God for the break (from PR) that you will be getting will nilly; think of us poor creatures chained to this treadmill like the shorn Samson!

And do NOT get your hopes up either, there are no miracles on the way. We will be lucky if the dumbing down of Arjun does not proceed apace; otherwise he will soon be like the male version of an aagnakaari bahu. What a fall this is, my fellow forumites (with apologies to Shakespeare)!

I dont even know what to say. I did a double take when I read the tweet posted by RD about being in mechanic attire. He also deleted it too so I dont know what is going on.

Anyway, to quote Laurie, I too am very disappointed. I think I posted somewhere- probably in the WU thread. I was envisioning him joining a company and starting as an assistant to some big shot who was like himself when he started. And watching him slowly bring ideas and earn a chance to leverage his hard earned education and talent, while at the same time yes, continuing his journey of self-discovery by watching, learning, and experiencing what it is like to be on the other side of the fence.
I confess, this completely throws me for a loop. I will watch todays episode tonight...since it will be the last one I get to see until next week...and hope that by the time I come back...something will have happened to turn this around or this is going somewhere justifiable...I hope...😕

Dearest Laurie,

Here is my prescription for you, which is sure to work even better than the ones so kindly suggested by you and others for my bust knee.

1) Read my separate post on today's PR. I was initially not planning to do it, but the welling irritation it churned up was so great that I had to get it off my chest. At the very least, it will amuse you, and I can see you need a good laugh.

2) Please do NOT let all the debacles, current and future, in PR affect The Raging Storm. I can see that it is all set to get back to being our lifeline to sanity in an insane world!

Hang on a sec... dash of salt, pepper and chaat masala *** SPRINKLE, SPRINKLE *** - there!
All set to eat my words!!! 🤣 @Blue - Shyamala, I completely agree - not another 1000 episodes of these tracks! As much as I like Rithvik/Asha and the rest of the cast - its simply not worth it!
When I saw this trending this morning about Arjun being a mechanic I was, for the lack of a better term - disapointed. It really boggles the mind that this is the direction they want to take the show. Role reversal maybe? Arjun as the mechanic and Purvi as the executive earning more than him? 😆
I really had a good laugh after a few choice words for my laptop this morning. I swear my neighbor thinks I'm certifiable and she's probably right! 🤣
Keeping this in perspective though, I have no more hopes for PR. I will enjoy what's left of the Arjun/Purvi magic from Isa's clips and probably look to another show for entertainment.
To tell you how much this has changed my thinking, I was all set for another chapter in The Raging Storm today and after that bit of news, all the wind just got sucked out of my sails. 🤣
C'est la vie!

Jyoti,

The point here is not just the very limited imagination of the CVs, it is also the credibility of Arjun as a mechanic.

What does he know about the innards of a car? He would never have bothered to look under the hood of a car, never having had either the time or the inclination for it. In that 'masala chai for Purvi in the rain' scene they showed recently, when the chauffeur says that something is wrong and he will look into it, Arjun shows no interest at all in the proceedings, and is merely impatient about the delay.

So now, unless they claim that he did a course in auto repair at college for fun, I cannot see how he is to cope. He will be thrown out on his ear pronto.

The other side of this is that there is practically no white collar job that Arjun can get without any resume or documents to back it up. So it will have to be a blue collar job.

I can bet that Ovi's car will be breaking down every day from now on, once she finds out where he is working. Purvi of course does not have a car, but perhaps she can take him a hot lunch in a thermocole tiffin carrier. As predictable and pedestrian as it can be, alas!

Laurie, Archana, I was quite enchanted by the idea of this being a voyage of self-discovery and self-realisation for Arjun. But now I cannot quite see what Arjun is going to discover about his inner self in a garage, and while being bitten to death by mosquitoes in that kholi. Well, the Buddha starved himself to skin and bone in pursuit of the truth, so perhaps our Arjun can surely donate some blood to the mosquitoes of the Karanjkar chawl. It is all as idiotic as it can get. Another 1000 episodes of this kind, NO way!

Nice long discussion girls😳..
i have not seen the epi yet..
just read the update now..
so Arjun going Manav way😊...& already started job of mechanic
Looks like CVs didnt get any other profession for him?🤔
thr was so many..
he could also b a truck driver or something..or some other..mere job..
Y in whole world mechanic?
i just hope...it doesnt create more difference btw Arman fans & Arvi fans..
each telling who is best & all..
i just hope Arvi story doesnt take a turn like Arman after some days...they get proper romantic track & no change in the actors..like replacement & all..

I was wondering too Shyama, when did Arjun attend Mechanic School. Just don't get what CV is trying do. It's always the same old drama over and over again. I'm actually getting very tired of watching this serial. There are quite a number potential writers (their own version of PR) in this forum. CV can just pick one of that if they are out of ideas instead of winding like a phyton.

Dear Jam,

Amen to all of that. Except that even a python would have enough good sense not to eat its own tail!
