In Arjun's Defense...

I am in defense of Arjun ,i mean he doesnt have have to repeat everytime he sees OVi that he loves Purvi ..thtway actually ur degrading ur love wen ur trying to explain evrybdy and evrytime.. i mean she would again start with the same old junk under the influnece of " Us Aurat and her daughter".. i mean if one doesn want to understand.. u just cant.. dey will take their own time as Sulo.. I mean wht more loud he has to say.. had 2 slaps fom Manav and each time the tone increased tht he loves Purvi..he and his dad got humilated in front of chawl(dnt thnk dey care much).. she went 2 Purvi d otherwise gentle Purvi clearly says he doesnt love her and she had no answer ..ya he did do wrong to Ovi.. and sumwhr he feels guilty too.. so thts as a frd he let her hug the first time dey met.. but second time he just removed her hand..and wished her goodbye and take care. abt him whts hes doing with his life is none of her business and he clearly said so.. thk god didnt take Archana /Purvis name.. dnt knw..d crazy girl wld do.. thts another drama in the waiting...
Even her DAD is nt able to explain her... and as its drama series.. complete MPK type gng on currently ..Archana is gonna melt one day or another(Alok Nath types) and OVI(Mohnish Behl) obviously under the able teachings of GUru Savita...

Jyothi...Finally...Thank you!!!! I had been planning to post on this myself but am glad you beat me to it.

I have said the same on another post...but it seems like those that do not want to see Arvi together will continue to find negativity in his behaviour...for me though, he is the most sane person on this show. He is going to be the driving force in raising the trps of this show. He is sooo lovable...let's just enjoy our Arvi and ignore the negativity.

I have tried to defend his actions on a couple of threads but no effect. I was getting tired of the constant Arjun bashing which he doesnt deserve and is totally unwarranted. Hence, the post. Glad i have some support !!!

And, btw arent we glad he doesnt belong to the lunatic Deshmukh family who believe in yelling and screaming the same thing in 100 different ways to drive u crazy..and still fail to understand simple sentences !!!

At first I also thought why Arjun didn't mention that he's doing this for Purvi, but later on after thinking I thought : maybe it's good he did not take Purvi's name.

Poor lover boy Arjun...He is so innocent and good guy...

All this mess happened because of him.

If you hear him carefully, he is doing it now to find himself..granted that Archana challenged him and that is how it started. But, it actually made him realize that he needs to do it for himself. That is why it is clear in his mind that he is not doing it for anybody but himself. Which is why, he doesnt take anyone's name in front of Ovi. He was not overly friendly with her as someone mentioned, he even takes her hand out of his face. The tone of his voice and demenaur was just cautiously friendly and to the point. We do have to remember that they have been friends for life. So, if she shows any concern for him, and his decision to leaveeverything, I dont think that it is going send off any alarms to Arjun. Moreover, after her emotional meltdown and knowing how she feels abour Archana, why would any guy bring upArchanaor Purvi's name in front of Ovi in this regard?

And, Ovi was a witness when he told everyone that he loves purvi and not Ovi. How many times do you want him to keep telling her? And being an old friend of hers and knowing how emotional she is, he really would not want to hurt her more. It will be like rubbing salt into her wounds...

What is Ovi's family doing in this regard? Manav knows very well thatwhen Arjun leftthe company he told them that he is leaving it for his love. So, why couldnt he say that to Ovi today? So what if it would have been harsh to Ovi? You can clearly see that she is dillusional now about Arjun. As a parent, isnt his duty to tell her the facts even if it makes her unhappy? why let her continue to think that there is still hope? Forget Savita, who is of no use to Ovi.

Archana's main concern should be to take care of Ovi, help her get out ofthis mess. Has she even discussed this with Manav? NO..She is just worried now that what if Arjun succeeds...What will I answer to Manav and Ovi. Which is why, I think she is being the prediciton of doom - of Arjun's Failure...

Thanks for the post. I think we should give Arjun a break. Yes it is a bit unsettling that the writers never felt a need for Ovi and Arjun or even DK to have a heart to heart conversation. But I have a sneaky feeling that will come in time. As right now Ovi needs to go through her break down. Honestly, anyone in a similar situation would be the same. One has to remember most of her life she wanted only Arjun's love and how devastating that the one thing she wants so badly she cannot have, you can't buy love, you can't bargain or pray and hope its yours. What is for you will be yours. I think it's a hard lesson in life for all of us to learn. That no matter how much you want something it might not be the best thing for you. And as irritating as it is to witness Ovi go through this. The actress is wonderful in her portrayal of a shattered woman wanting to control something totally out of her control.

I don't think Arjun is a callous man. There were so many instances he tried to let Ovi know how he felt prior to the engagement but it was not destined. He kept trying even after Purvi confessed but couldn't get in touch with her. So do I think Arjun is wrong? No, I think also at the engagement party honestly he was stuck and was more worried about his dad's and Ovi's honor. Now that's tough I am still not sure what's right or wrong but I understand his predicament.

I think we shouldn't blame the characters for the writing. I wonder with so limited time on a day soap there isnt enough time to cover all the details of relationships and conversations. Well, unless of course there is a song sequence to make us all ooou and awww and sigh. Trust me not complaining as I am a HUGH romantic and love love romance.
