Thanks. But I liked your 'ready to rumble' post even better than this one of mine, though there is really no similarity between the 2 approaches. Mine is a near verbatim synopsis with supplementary comments, whereas yours is an analysis and a sketch of what you hope for in the future. I, however, have learnt to beware of the CVs and so I avoid all predictions!

Dear Shyamala,

Yes, its Italian - meaning marvelous or wonderful! Very good guess 👍🏼

It's about balance isn't it? You are the voice of reason/logic and I'm the dreamer/quirky one (or so I'd like to think) but, if I may, we share commonalities which may cross the borders at times. 😃

I'm proud to share 'the stage' with you 😃

Dear Archana,

Thanks ever so much. You are always so flattering wrt my efforts that by now I am quite spoilt! Your own post is excellent, and closely and logically argued, as always.

No, Purvi will not abandon Arjun because of Archana's fatwa, she is now 200% sure of him and would also be very grateful to him for turning up trumps in such a spectacular fashion over the last 2-3 days. She has always wanted him to stand up publicly for their relationship, whatever her concern for the Archana-Ovi combo, and now she must be feeling on cloud nine. As for their continuing to meet, I think Archana forgot that while she was going back and forth in her tirade, contradicting herself periodically. Even if she had remembered to renew the fatwa, I feel Purvi would have disregarded it.

As for Ovi, I completely agree with you: it is getting to be a very dangerous obsession, and the sooner Arjun realises this the better. Otherwise she might end up like Glenn Close in Fatal Attractiion, and try to get rid of Purvi. She needs professional psychiatric help, and immediately, but I doubt if Manav will think of this. The only silver lining is that she will not be able to locate Arjun now, as he has dropped off the radar for the present.

👏 Wow Shyamala. This post literally left me in awe. It took me a few minutes to collect myself and write a response.

What an amazing thorough analysis. I have not even seen one second of this episode yet, much less any of these scenes, and I find that thanks to your post, I am going to have even more fun keeping my eyes on the "small details", which is my habit of course.
I am heartened by Arjun's behavior, and agree with Laurie that Purvi will also come around. From what you and others say, it sounds like although she didnt make any attempts to interrupt her "hysterical" mother's tirade, apparently the constant harangues against her Arjun and venomous diatribe had her in earnest tears.
The look of love and respect you all say she gives him when he says his famous words of love make me feel that there is hope that she will soon step up and fight the good fight with him. I am also relieved to see that Archana has not laced her demand with a condition that they are not to meet or see each other. I am told that this did not happen- which does clear the way for some beautiful and cute scenes ahead.
In regards to Ovi, it certainly does sound like she has gone off the deep end, and will do the best she can to create as many problems as possible for the couple. In fact there was an article long ago that stated this verbatim: "Ovi will be unhappy about Arjun and Purvi coming together and will try to create problems for the couple." I hope that she does eventually heal although it sounds doubtful from all the accounts of her behavior. The precap indicates that not only is she NOT going to accept Ovi she is going to do everything she can to sabotage Arjun and Purvi's relationship--including coming up with ideas like we saw in the precap.
Lets take stock of this: she was told by Arjun himself, in front of everyone, that he does not love her and instead loves Purvi---and witnessing him getting beat up as a result---but still holding fast to his love for another girl. Despite this, she tears up the plane tickets, keeps insisting that she is going to marry Arjun, that he does love her (whether he himself feels that way or not), shows up at his house and shows up at Purvi's house with a check to get her to stay away from him.
This is just a small preview of what is to come. The fact is she has made a decision herself: she wants Arjun and she will do anything and everything in her power to have him. Once you cross a certain line, to the point where your actions are utterly lacking in dignity and self-respect, then you are already a gone case and you most definitely will need the help of a professional to pull out of it.
Ovi's character is already on the path of destruction. She is a walking time-bomb- and my fear is that given her current state of mind--she can go to any lengths no matter how extreme. Once she realizes the very real love of Arjun for Purvi, and the extent, when everything she tries to break them up fails---she will try to get rid of Purvi once and for all in the very real sense.
It is sad but Shyamala is right. The emotional trauma of losing Arjun has indeed made her sick and we will see her unravelling mentally on a much greater scale than what we saw today.

Dear simran1285,

I am glad you enjoyed this post and that it echoed your own sentiments and assessments. Rithwik is really a very gifted boy, and I hope he soon finds a vehicle, preferably a good film, that will give his talent full scope. TV serials are basically a woman's medium, and he will soon outgrow them

You have taken the very words regarding todays episode and Arjun out of my mouth. I must have watched and rewatched Arjun's scene with Archana several times. The eloquence and sincerity he displayed while delivering his lines about his love for purvi and how he will only live this life with her deeply touched my soul and of course the challenge that only he will take Purvi away was the cherry on top.

Loved Arjun today, Rithvik has indeed spread his wings and today we have finally seen the perfect Arjun that Purvi deserves.

Bravo Rithvik, take a bow for delivering such filmy and cheesy dialogues with such ease and perseverance.

Yes, Rithwik is quite an exceptional actor with a very mobile face, and is especially good at handling the most corny lines he is given. I am sure he will get better and better, and will inevitably outgrow TV serials, which are basically a woman's medium.

Sorry I've been in a state of unabashed euphoria ever since I saw the SBB segment this morning. 😍 🥳

No emoticon for deep bow - I wish though I could have used it a few times myself! 😃

If the selection of emoticons to your left were not to your liking, you can always click on the More hyperlink just below it for a few more options. The same function can be found on the first task bar - fifth button from the right.

Hope that helps 😃

Dear Esha,

Thanks a lot for the kind words.

As for Archana, as Janhvi and someone else as well (Ashu?) pointed out, she and Ovi resemble each other to a dismaying degree. Both are delusiona,l and insist on seeing the world just the way they want it to be, and try to force this personal vision on everyone else.

As I mentioned somewhere else, Arjun must, after listening to Archana rave and rant yesterday, be glad that his Purvi not a biological daughter of Archana's and could thus not have inherited these traits from her!

I have nothing to add further...you both said it all
Today I truly admired RD...I just loved the way he accepted Hysterical Mahaanta Queens challenge was truly amazing...RD was able to convince me that he's the perfect guy for Purvi
Oh gosh...is Archana for real 😲 😡...she wants someone like Manav for Purvi...please someone save Purvi as fast as possible
I would never wish a husband like Manav for anyone, so for our Purvi it's just out of the question 😡

Dear Vilasini,

Thanks ever so much for the compliment. Yes, I too love Laurie's 'meraviglioso', so much better sounding than even the Spanish maravillosa or the French merveilleux. In fact it sounds like a magical incantation that Gandalf might have uttered!

Dear Trish,

While I still feel that Arjun is in a very difficult situation while trying to manao Ovi, I do see, on second thoughts, that he has to realise that the problem is getting steadily worse, not better, and will soon be dangerous.

I am not concerned so much about the proprieties as about real physical danger to Purvi from Ovi, like in Fatal Attraction. The only silver lining is that for some time to come, Ovi will not be able to locate Arjun. But then she can always locate Purvi, and that is what is disturbing.

Shyamala

Dear Shyamala,
Love your entire post and agree with all of it, except for this bit. All said and done, Arjun has redeemed himself in a valiant fashion. But he could have gently disengaged himself from Ovi instead of pushing her away. He turns into a tree and allows her to cling to him like a creeper. This is something he has done before as well, many a times, when they were engaged. Now they are not. Therefore it becomes even more important for him to not just tell her what her boundaries are, but show it to her. All this can be done gently, if not harshly, so that Arjun does not end up hurting his childhood friend more so now.
The more Ovi is allowed to be close to him, ( the reason being Arjun does not wish to hurt her), the more her case worsens. The more Arjun gives her the permission to do as she pleases, the more foolishly brave she gets.
Trish

The final segment shows Arjun helpless in the face of Ovi's acute self-delusions and her refusal to acknowledge that he does not love her. I have read some criticism of his allowing her to cling to him, and fears as to what would happen if Manav were to see this. Such criticism is unwarranted. Ovi is obviously suffering from an emotional trauma that has upset her mental equilibrium. She is sick and needs help. Given all this, how could Arjun brush her, his childhood friend, off harshly? It is not possible, whatever the problems he might create for himself in the process.

Dear Jyoti,

If there is indeed a gehra ghaav on Archana's hand, the size and depth of the aforesaid ghaav fluctuates a lot. It was hardly visible when Archana was pottering around in the kitchen before Tej bandages it for her. Yesterday, the bandage was suddenly much larger, extending to the palm of the hand and the fingers, whereas the day before it was only around the wrist. There is clearly no continuity assistant on the PR set!

Then again, with this gehra ghaav, how ever does Archana manage to get into those very tightly fitted backless blouses (reminds me of the heroes in Regency novels, who wore coats so tightly moulded to their form that two valets were needed to get them into the coats!), and tie the tassels at the top, not to speak of sticking on the beige nails that bee5 noticed so cleverly? It is the same after she hurts her hands on the hot casserole, she cannot open the almirah door but she can dress herself with no problems!

She also obviously has a bottomless costume budget these days; the parade of her sarees is literally endless. Not that I am complaining, and the dress changes obviously help the TRPs, but the credibility factor becomes zilch!

"ghaav"?
Tej says it is a gehra ghaav!! Well, it didnt stop the mahaan lady from waving that hand at Arjun ferociously !! And that finger, God !!! I hate anyone waving a finger at me 😃

I liked your "

Yesterday, if it was not for Arjun/Rithwik, the whole of the segment with Archana would have collapsed. She reminded me of the wicked queen in Snow White and the Seven Dwarves, with those very long (beige, as you mentioned so correctly) pointed nails. I have never seen anyone with any pretension to good manners behave like that - finger pointing to within a foot of the other person.

Arjun must have been wondering what he had got himself into, and thanking his lucky stars that Purvi is adopted, and thus could not have inherited these traits from Archana!

Shyamala

Dear Shyamala,
Thanks for taking the time to post your comments. How are your eyes?
Agree, in all this drama, I really feel glad that Purvi is adopted 😊
