Hey, but how was this rainy scene anyway a notch higher by any standards, unless a notch higher meant that they caught cold this time which they hadn't the previous times 😆
BTW, what is a "notch higher" in your opinion, Laurie?

👏 Shyamala, what a wonderful post. Loved that you described the ARVI part in such detail. I loved your analysis as well as the episode.

I also loved when she confesses to Sulo that she loved Arjun. Asha looked absolutely cute then and with her hair out she looked so pretty. And I also loved what she said to Arjun when she got there, it was so cute.

@bee - I agree that this rain scene wasn't a notch higher than the airport rain scene. Who knows, maybe on their way to the K house, Arjun and Purvi will dance in the rain! But I hope their reunion doesn't end here, I want to see more and I hope this rainy reunion continues on Monday before Archana sets her tests for Arjun.

Dear Vilasini,

You are most welcome; I am glad you liked it.

As for the chawl, most definitely NOT the D's chawl or anywhere a mile from it! What a life poor Arjun would have it if his flat was in the D's chawl, with:

1) Ovi's tearful face haunting him from the opposite window, and the very real possibility of her trying to convince him that it is her whom he loves in truth, and that Purvi has bewitched him;

2) Savita glaring at him any chance she gets, and possibly leaving lemons smeared with vermilion and strung together with chillies outside his door, to hex him back to Ovi , and

3) Archana fixing him with deeply reproachful looks, while Manav's open hostility threatens a renewing slapfest and worst of all,

4) no Purvi, as she would be most reluctant to visit him there.

No, Arjun, being no fool, even if some recent e'svents might have led us to think otherwise, will avoid the D chawl like the plague. I only hope he ends up near enough to the K's chawl so that Purvi can visit him easily, but not IN it, for that would only lead to a lot of unwelcome gossip when the neighbours spot our lovebirds cootchy-cooing in front of open windows.

Arjun, as Janhvi pointed out, would not care two hoots about this sort of thing, and judging from the way she cosied up to him in her office after the PoA was implemented, the normally prim and 'propah' Purvi too can throw discretion to the winds at times.

So it will be better if his place is near the K chawl, but not right there, don't you agree?

Excellent post Shyamala.. thank u

I watched ARVI part couple of time and I really enjoyed Teju & Archana's bonding.
Sulochana has to be sent some flowers and sweets today.
Arjun & Purvi at their best.. Purvi acted very well.. I loved the look on Purvi's face when she asked Arjun "what did i ask u do and what have you done!!!" very fond, caring and love. I think she felt very bad for the slaps that he received. The way Arjun demanded her to accept his proposal was cute..like "if you dont come now, you wont get the candy"
My next worry is.. Precap: yeah we all think he is going to stay in the Chawl but which Chawl. K's Chawl or D's Chawl or near D's chawl?
CVs give us one good thing for a day and torture us for weeks.. Hope this pattern changes..

My dear Shyamala,
Thank u for painstakingly writing such a great post with a yet another brilliant title...yes paradise was certainly regained...aaahhh, feel so at the top of the world today! And keeping us who are here on the other side of the world in mind, thank u, thank u...
Just watched the online by Isa five times, did u notice how when Purvi is talking about Ovi ma'am and turns around, she has her bindi for a few seconds, and then I am sure it must have been washed away and swept away in the heavy rains of Arjun's love...Arjun took all the blame, he is tooo tooo fantabulous with his dialogue delivery and yet again, CVs gave him good dialogues, thank u to them!! And the way he wants to spend the rest of his life with her, awww, super duper romantic...😳😳
Was such a surprising thriller that Sulo aaji came thru, who would have thunk (other than Bee👏) of this...as always, truly enjoyed your post...🥳

Why not he move into the K's residence? Purvi can move in with her Aaji in the latter's room and Arjun can take Purvi's room? With Aaji there ( I just love Sulo now) this three can have lots of fun. Arjun will then thank his lucky stars that he has only Sulo to deal with here. At the deshmukhs he would have gone crazy.

Dear Namita,

Truly an enticing prospect, for Arjun-Purvi that is, but it is a big no-no. The proprieties would never permit Purvi and her fiance to stay under the same roof; the neighbours would gossip like a house afire, and there would be a scandal of daunting proportions.

Moreover, they would really be better off with Arjun in a separate place; they can be more relaxed than with even an indulgent aaji in the next room!

Yep, you are right, tongues will start wagging but it should be somewhere nearby Purvi's. Can't wait to see Arjun take the bus to work. By the look on Archana's face in the precap, I don't think the poor boy will have the luxury of bringing his car to the chawl. Oh! gosh, he has the heat to boot too, Remember no aircon. Poor, poor Arjun, all for love. If only you had opened your mouth on the engagement day. I wonder what your DK would think about this arrangement, Shyamala

Dear Shyamala,
Lovely analysis, as always!👏👏-- Loved how Arjun-Purvi accepted each other wholeheartedly. The best part for me yesterday was when they played "the ARVI song" in the background and Purvi was slowly walking up to the bridge, and she had all these scenes running through her mind, scenes which had broken her heart earlier. She healed completely yesterday, so did Arjun. Such a beautiful pair. I am so in love with the both of them. 😳
But I do wonder why Archana becomes a lioness all of a sudden, and then a wet cat, especially when Savita or Sachin emotionally blackmail her. I would like her character to remain more consistent.

Dear Namita,

@ blue. Nothing, or else he would be discreetly amused.

I don't think Arjun's car will be confiscated; he can hardly waste time taking the bus. Or else he and Purvi can share an auto and go to the office holding hands all the way! Arjun might then even prefer the auto to his car!

There is nothing to be done about the heat, however, he will just have to lump it. Purvi can hardly sit around fanning him all the time!

Dear Trish,

I am glad you liked the post and did not feel that it was redundant for you, as you had already seen the episode and posted that very neat summary. I always like those summary posts of yours - they are so brief and yet leave out nothing significant.

I cannot remember when I have been so happy about a TV episode. But that is the very special quality of Arjun and Purvi, one has come to really care about them, rejoice when things go well for them, and mourn with them when they go so badly wrong.

I too was delighted when they started playing Dil yeh mera kyon shor kare. I had been confident that it would not be an acrimonious scene, and I had hoped for a warm and affectionate interaction. But it was only when I heard the song that I said to myself 'Well, well, looks like we are home and dry!" In the end, the scene surpassed my expectations by a mile. Lovely.

Archana is impossible to understand these days. The way she looks at Arjun in the precap is quite unnecessarily stern and forbidding, and makes it clear that he is not welcome there, but is merely on sufferance. Hardly the way to treat your future son-in-law.

What if he cannot stand the chawl? Is he to be booted out and Purvi forced to give him up? One part of me knows that he will not mind anything as long as he has his Purvi with him, and will come thru with flying colours. The other part wants them to just go away and get married at the Shiv mandir, and then thumb their noses at the Ds and the Ks, and Manav-Archana in the first place.
