Thanks Munni and Trish!!! Btw I want to point out something real quick "bee" had mentioned a statement during tellychakkar interviews by RD...when asked bout thei pavitra rishta being next he said it would take another 2-3 months, I want to point out that that was the dhaba scene filming...which would have been about 6 weeks ago. So that means we r pretty,uh halfway there...Not 2/3 months from breakup but 2-3 months from the time of that interview...

So my fellow Arvians!!! My prediction is we should see things start to slowly build towards reconciliation in a couple of weeks!! 😉 God knows I am looking forward to that!!!!😃

Yes munni!! And Manav/Archu have another'4 months from now to go until the divorce. So ARVI will come together 2 months before at least...thereby creating more misunderstandings for ARMAN... And ARVI will have to unite them

Hear, hear! Especially the bit about a non-Balaji show, a snappy, modern love story fro preference. Rithwik and Asha are too good as actors to be wasted much longer on this yo-yo of a Arjun-Purvi relationship.

If Ekta does not care for audience opinions, why does she even produce shows? The audience decides whether a show is worth watching or not. Some wonderful shows don't last long because many people aren't watching them and responding but some awful shows run on forever like Yahan Main Ghar Ghar Kheli because the audience watch it and like it despite the fact the show has gone beyond toleration. PR became intolerable before the leap with the crazy Varsha nonsense, but there was some hope after the leap. But I agree that this show has dragged on far too long. I would be happy if they just finished this show in a few weeks and tied up all the loose ends. But sadly, this show will run for a few more months and I don't know how much longer I will be able to tolerate it. The Creatives have killed everything. I blame everything on Ekta. She started off PR wonderfully but couldn't help ruining it as it is her nature to ruin all wonderful things about a show. I just hope all the actors appear in better and successful shows after PR, especially Asha and Rithvik whom I want to see again paired opposite each other in another show - a non Balaji show perhaps?

I agree, but where is the question of Arjun being "put back on civil behavior"? He has never said a harsh word to her ever, and now he has started looking like someone who has spaghetti for a backbone.

And I loved that line about Savita. The woman has a voice like a corn crake.

Dear Archana,

Congratulations on a very well analysed and written post, which makes a lot of sense.

The problem now is that the character development is getting to be more and more inconsistent for both Arjun and Purvi. I am not talking of the assorted MUs , as you folks call them, ending in the mother of all MUs, the engagement. I mean the way in which the two handle the MUs. Arjun is becoming like a marshmallow put out in the sun, and Purvi sounds like a banshee. Are these the same bright, confident young people we grew to love? No.

This is a depressing, ill-assorted pair, the two seem to be passing each other like ships in the dark. Of course the CVs will produce more twists and turns and get them together in the end, but the magic is already fast fading. For Purvi, it is no use saying that you are in love if all you can do is to drive him even deeper into despair by railing at him in most unforgiving manner, confident in the certainty that he will never hit back, because you are his greatest weakness. For Arjun, this meltdown of a capable and self-assured young man into a lovelorn wimp is most depressing, and it will push his character into a ditch from which it will be tough to extricate him.

To conclude, what is the relevance of ArVi to us all if Arjun is no longer the Arjun and Purvi is no longer the Purvi we loved? It will be but a pale ghost of what once was.

Shyamala

PS: I loved the reference to The Taming of the Shrew, but then you know, Purvi might make a good Kate, but the Arjun of the past week is no Petruchio! I find myself wishing very much that he was.

🥱@shalininaik...Hi Shalini! (your name is Shalini right? 😊..hope u dont mind im calling you that)...*sighs* me too...I cant believe how hooked I am on the show either. Never been on the forums for an Indian TV show before...and subsay bada irony kya hai ki it happens to be the one show forum of my namesake...so I get to be PR Forums ka Archu I guess...😉 My best friend watches it too and just loves ARVI also, but she isnt as into it as I am...if she ever finds out Im on the forums all the time and am constantly posting long long posts...she will probably think Ive gone off the deep end or am smoking some serious crack :) She will consider me an addict, get together with the rest of our friends, gang up on me and stage an intervention in an attempt to rescue me.

That being said...it is so much fun to have others to talk to regarding the show...and Im glad you found the forums! Welcome and even though there isnt anyone over where you are that watches...I hope we are lively enough to more than make it up for you!😆
As far as ARVI, I do hope they get these guys back together quickly. Today's episode had me too depressed to end with. So now I found myself going back a month to the episodes from April 9, 10. (The corporate party and her wearing the sari). Purvi was sooo sweet...so cute...quite unlike her yelling, irrational self today. Absolutely no vestiges of the tirade we got subjected to.
And Im really hoping the CVs dont kill this sweetness...what good is it for them to finally reunite if she has already turned into a shrew by that time? (Then we can rename the show "The Taming of the Shrew")...
Im going to give her the benefit of the doubt for now and hope that this is just the result of watching the man you love get engaged to your mom's real daughter in front of your face (sorry...dont even feel like calling Ovi her sister at this point...there doesnt seem to be anything sisterly about her)...I do have to admit that if I were in her place, I would not know what to do. Especially when I didnt have a clue someone else existed in any capacity in his life. I think I would be hurt beyond belief for a good while.
Another thing, in watching the corporate party episodes I noticed one thing...Sulo is not the forgiving sort due to the experience with Varsha. She is going to have a real problem with ARVI- not just because of Ovi but because Arjun is Purvi's boss. This is what is going to hit home to her more than anything else...and it is going to have some serious repurcussions.
Well CVs, give us ARVI back...at least the love between the 2 of them and let them support each other even if it has to remain hidden...cuz' there's plenty more hurdles for them to get through besides.

I have not yet watched the scene just read the synopsis/update.

When Purvi found out about engagement she felt betrayed, cheated by Arjun the man she loves and her family for hiding truth about Tej from her. She didn't listen to Arjun that night didn't gave him chance to explain as she was not in frame of mind to listen anything after what she saw/heard. People did sympathize with Purvi her situation that time.

Today Arjun wanted just once to explain his side and if after this she doesn't want to meet or talk to him he was fine with it but she didn't gave him chance to say anything. At the end of the scene we saw Purvi being on wrong side for not giving Arjun chance to speak keep his side. Now whether she did this to push Arjun away from her crushing his feelings so that he hates her or she meant it or it was done to show Purvi in bad light only writers know.

When Arjun told Purvi he is leaving for Canada next day and if there is nothing between them she has no right to make him understand. If Purvi told Arjun their relationship is ended and asks him to sacrifice his love if he really loves her for Ovi's happiness Arjun needs to tell her if she has ended relationship from her end she lost rights to tell him what to do what not to which might never happen. No matter how much rude Purvi is to Arjun he will take everything. In anger one say does things that they regret later. No matter how much angry Purvi is somewhere her heart knows Arjun can never hurt her. She seems to have made up her mind not to listen to Arjun.

It's been four months of Arjun-Purvi journey from people who could not stand each other they never realized when they made place in each other heart became part of each other's life. The memories they have during this journey can't be erased and will stay with them always. Misunderstandings are part of every show but when dragged for way too long with unnecessary dialogues/track it becomes unbearable.

Hi Shyamala,
Thank you for the kind words! You are right about Arjun of course! The minute he gets out of this confusion stage and figures out what to do...he will become that same determined boy who orders Purvi out of the house and gives her an ultimatum. The day that comes back, everything changes for us and Purvi will realize she can't bully him anymore. 😃

Archana
Love your post. I agree I am looking forward to the Arjun Kirloskar that will put her in her place and shut her up. It's high time he does and I think all of us ARVIans will enjoy that very much! But at the moment Arjun's guilt and her rantings are preventing the boy from thinking straight.

My only comment to PR Creative Team Please Please don't butchered the portrayal of these two. Its horrible to have strong characters now become spineless and inconsistent in their behavior.

Dear Archana,

Amen, but I must say I am not too hopeful. He should just let her go, and see what she does. That old saying quoted by newbie20000 (please take a look at her/his Two cents) is just spot on: "
If you love something/ someone let it go free, if it comes back to you it's yours forever, if it doesn't it was never yours to begin with". Probably Persian, sounds like Kahlil Gibran!

Right now, Arjun is so paralysed by her brutal rejection that I don't think his brain is functioning at all. I do hope he does not go back to playing a besotted lover calling and texting her all the time. He looks ineffectual and spineless enough as it is, and there is no need to make it worse. What Purvi needs is a prolonged dose of benign neglect. Plus I hope she quits her job and does not inflict any more of her freezing fits on him.

There was a lot of talk in the forum about the need for Purvi to have a reliable and sensible (woman) friend. The person who really needs one is Arjun. He might as well be marooned on a desert island for all the companionship and support and advice he gets.

Shyamala
