Ok I just watched the DK/Arjun part and the precap online (thanks Issa!! 😉)...so here is my take. I am glad he told DK and he told DK who it was. Here is how I think events are going to unfold:

We know for a fact that Ovi and Archu are going to find out due to the SBS. If it is true that Ovi will see Purvi/Arjun hugging or overhear them, it means that at some point Purvi/Arjun are going to talk. If the RD FB post is true, and Im inclined to think it is, his spoiler is that ARVI will be together. So take heart from that. At least there will be no long drawn out separation or Arjun/Ovi marriage, heaven forbid.

Im hoping that the sacrifice thing wont go for very long because Arjun will tell Purvi that it is too late for that since DK already knows the truth. I think Purvi will keep mum, but we will see some time drag out where they both dont get a chance to talk or communicate because some situation, or Ovi herself will keep coming in between. Like the MMS, Arjun will try to clear things with Purvi but all these Ovi scenes will happen before he gets the chance. Then finally the moment will come when he will tell Purvi that he already spoke with his dad and his dad asked him to wait until he comes back so he can speak to Manav. At that point, Purvi will gain confidence in Arjun since she will realize DK now knows, and the MU between the two of them will clear. However, due to the fact that DK asked Arjun to wait until he gets back, their love will have to remain secret until he gets back. And we will all have to go through the torture of watching Ovi, Punni, and Savita plotting to ruin them.

If you remember RD said that Purvi will sacrifice because she is the sacrificing queen...he never said that he would also do the same. And I think todays episode shows that: he said very clearly that he cant do this and he cannot marry Ovi. If he was the sacrificial sort and leaving the shots to be called by Purvi he would have waited until he talked to her. He didnt. He went to his dad and clearly said he cant do this. His dad did ask him to wait because he believes he should talk to Manav...and I think this is the reason that Arjun agreed to. His dad pointed out to him that these are 2 daughters from one family...one of whom doesnt even know how she is related to the girl in question (meaning Ovi not knowing Archana is her mother and Purvi her sister). The situation really does need to be handled with extreme care and I dont think we can fault Arjun for recognizing this fact.

He also called his dad out and said the way the engagement was done wasnt right- nobody asked him. Nobody listened to him...and I think DK also recognized that fact. It will be very hard for Arjun to put up with Ovi but because DK himself brought up the old and strong friendship and relationship between Manav/Ovi, it was impressed upon Arjun that he cannot himself ruffle any feathers here.

I also think we need to cut Arjun some slack here. There has been a lot of bashing of him and calls for a new hero for Purvi and I dont think this is right at all. Yes, he is in a fix between these 2 girls. But he tried several times to break it with Ovi...and here is the key part for me...he even tried to break it with her even when Purvi rejected him. He did not want to marry Ovi regardless once he knew he loved Purvi...whether she loved him back or not.

Once Purvi returned his love, he was so caught up in her, and in the excitement of falling in love with her that Ovi barely crossed his mind. And when she did he again tried repeatedly to get in touch with her. The engagement was a complete shock and surprise...done in a very public setting too. He may not love Ovi, but she is his childhood friend, and their fathers are very close friends. Although Purvi is his world and his life, it doesnt mean he doesnt care about Ovi as a friend or have respect for her feelings. I think we need to stop bashing him for the engagement fiasco.

Now he did his part...he cannot go directly to Archana or Manav...so he told the only person he could...his father. He also kept asking his dad to help him. He made it clear to his dad that he cannot marry Ovi, and that he loves Purvi. I dont believe DK will let him down...especially after taking his mom's name. But the situation does have to be handled with extreme sensitivity..

Come on guys...ARVI forever! No other heroes for Purvi or no pairings with anyone else...Ovi will eventually be booted out...not sure when or how but only sure that it will happen...so lets just be patient and see! 😃

absoutely adore your post. you said what i wanted to. arjun n purvi both keeps their family's happiness above their own, so it was evident that he will go with these engagement for ovi's sake.

and regarding new hero opposite purvi, its just unacceptable coz PR for me is ArVi and arvi r the sole reason i even watched PR. the PR cover also shows them instead of ovi-arju so no need to worry about arvi coz ekta will not kill their story coz they r her main mohra, the new attracting force after arman(sushita).

The point is it hurt to much to see arjun with ovi,not with purvi.and ovi all time she is hugging arjun .and I can't see how purvi is looking with so much pain, sorry iam a very big arvi fan can see this it hurt me to.so no pavitra rishta more, till arvi will back together. Why why why ekta you do this to all arvi fans why, why you make arvi fans cry,why please don't do this.but arvi I will always love you ,you have a very special place in my heart. And ovi backoff leave arjun alone .he belongs only and only to the very beautiful purvi (asha) please rithvik and asha marry together ,then no one can seperate you, even ekta.will miss you arvi

@mjht_ARVI4ever...thank u for liking my post dear. I know it is really hard to see Ovi hugging Arjun. But I am so fed up of everyone bashing the poor boy. I mean come on...give the dude a break you guys. Now everyone is worried DK is not going to come back. Matters will unravel the way they need to and the whole thing needs to play out.

I highly anticipate Ovi turning evil. She is too full of herself and obsessed with her fantasy of Arjun...and she is used to being the center of attention. She has been told she is the beautiful one, is a model, etc...it's actually not really Arjun himself that she loves. It is the idea of him...wanting that aloof standoff businessman who doesn't care about anything or anyone but work and power, She has this fantasy that only she can be the one to turn his head. The idea of him actually loving someone else with such deep emotion- basically everything he has in him is too much for her. That and the fact that nobody has ever rejected her before.

Another thing that amazes me is my own feelings: I find that I both hate her and pity her at the same time. The name of the show is pavitra rishta...and that is what Arjun/Purvi have. Unfortunately Ovi knows nothing about this or the concept of it...She will turn evil- but in all fairness she grew up just like Arjun...she doesn't know what that kind of love is...wouldn't recognize it if it was in front of her face. She can only think from her perspective and what she knows: she doesn't have the ability to put herself in someone else's shoes. Now is this selfish? Maybe. But she is not a totally hateful person. She loved the old arrogant Arjun. However, that Arjun did love his father and wasnt completely cold either. I feel she loves that Arjun so much because that is how she is. She is selfish, narrow-minded and arrogant too...but she is also capable of love. She loves her sister, grandparents, and father very much.

I'm off on a tangent but I guess that even though I can't stand Ovi (her looks or her manner or her dress...I mean really? What is she trying to prove? There seem to be several of my fellow Americans and Canadians in this forum and I'm sure none of us are that conspicuous. I mean good god girl...cover it up already)) I do feel she does have the potential in her to change...just like Arjun. However, there is no way to go about this storyline without killing her character I guess.

Archana, maybe Ovi will meet someone that will change her, just like Purvi transformed Arjun. She seems hard to place, she seems nice at times and not so nice at times. The way she behaved with Sulo when Tej brought her home was to be admired, she was respectful, invited her to the party and behaved with decorum. Yet she seems to look down on the chawl and the lifestyle there. She wasn't rude to Archana or to Purvi at the party either, the only fault she seems to have is that she wears blinders were Arjun is concerned. She just doesn't seem to get it that he doesn't love her. Now, if she turns negative towards Purvi as the SBS segment indicates, then I guess there would be cause for dislike. As of now, she comes across as self-absorbed and into herself but not evil.

My only irriation is why, why just why, is Arjun letting Ovi fall all over him like that especially in public places (restaurant, office) Is he a man or not? How much lower are the writers going to bring him down. Instead of crying like a baby, he could have put his foot down and told Ovi to behave herself and said that this is India and not Canada. He, crying like a baby instead of handling the situation is annoying me no end. The more he lets Ovi continue with this public demonstration of affection, the more difficult it's going to be for Arvi to reconcile. Ovi is blind or what, doesn't she realize that this man is not responding but is just sitting there like a dead log.

Arjun should have gone seriously back to work and kept Ovi at arm's length.

ever since i watched today's episode I've been so irritated with Arjun. I know he changed to have a heart but i didn't think he would lose all aspects of his tough no bs attitude. To see him crying and pushing the responsibility of breaking the engagement off on his dad is a loser move. If he had the guts he would go and talk it over with Manav and clue ovi in himself. I understand not saying anything at the actual engagement but now it's time to handle your business yourself. And what irked me more than anything is him so worried about Ovi being shattered. What about PURVI? She's shattered. But you are going to keep up this game and letting Ovi think you love her until your dad comes back and handles it. Meanwhile you are stabbing Purvi in the heart with every second you spend with Ovi. Does he care at all? Be a man deal with the repercussion once it's all out there. Don't try and snake around and hope things fall in place. That's a coward loser move.

And I'm going to say this in the nicest way possible without bashing...but ovi is savita's

grandchild...She may have some of archana's mannerisms but her attitude is all Savita. If it's not about her it doesn't deserve her attention. She's judgemental and blind to the obvious. Just as Savita is blind to the hurt she has caused to Manav for her greediness and self interest, Ovi is blind to the fact that Arjun has absolutely no interest in her and that he is in pain. And when Arjun finally does the right thing and drops her she will become evil and vengeful like her grandmother.

Hi Arch. Thanks for the wonderful optimistic post.

What bothers me is that Arjun will keep up the charade now that Purvi will sacrifice. I am more upset with Arjun than I am with Ovi. He is actually not living up to his braveheart image. He is not concerned about Purvi's heart breaking to pieces. He is bothered about that Ovi being shattered -- this, his own words.

Ovi really needs to tone down the public displays of affection. In Archana-Manav-Shravani track .. Shravani did not do all this so the fans were spared the torture.

Holding hands etc is fine, but strutting around in the least of clothes hugging the hero in front of the heroine will not go down well with ARVI fans.

What if Purvi decided to display the mata hari act in front of Ovi and Arjun? But then Purvi would never do such a thing. 🤣

Anyway, I am still hopeful about ARVI. True love will win and soon.
