@mjht_ARVI4ever...thank u for liking my post dear. I know it is really hard to see Ovi hugging Arjun. But I am so fed up of everyone bashing the poor boy. I mean come on...give the dude a break you guys. Now everyone is worried DK is not going to come back. Matters will unravel the way they need to and the whole thing needs to play out. so true. hitting on arjun for something that is not under his control is really annoying, the way he fought with his dad for his love proves that the character of arjun is strong yet emotional. he is portrayed as a 20 yr old who never knew what love is n when he experienced that feeling he forgot everything, he is shown as a young boy who strives for his mother's support n care, a young heart that yearns for love n understanding. from the start it was shown that he lived for others happiness but now when he wants to live for himself, all will be against him. poor soul, he created the mess but he was the one who wanted to clear it, n that point stands out for me.

I highly anticipate Ovi turning evil. She is too full of herself and obsessed with her fantasy of Arjun...and she is used to being the center of attention. She has been told she is the beautiful one, is a model, etc...it's actually not really Arjun himself that she loves. It is the idea of him...wanting that aloof standoff businessman who doesn't care about anything or anyone but work and power, She has this fantasy that only she can be the one to turn his head. The idea of him actually loving someone else with such deep emotion- basically everything he has in him is too much for her. That and the fact that nobody has ever rejected her before.
her character is very childish and immature yet sometimes sensible. for her arjun is like a chamakti trophy that she wants by any means and if someone else takes it than she will be shattered. she was given what she wanted from her childhood, no struggle to become a model, or to earn money it was given to her on a platter, she thinks she will get arjun as well but the day her fanatsy breaks she will behave childishly rather than accepting the "NO" maturely

Another thing that amazes me is my own feelings: I find that I both hate her and pity her at the same time. The name of the show is pavitra rishta...and that is what Arjun/Purvi have. Unfortunately Ovi knows nothing about this or the concept of it...She will turn evil- but in all fairness she grew up just like Arjun...she doesn't know what that kind of love is...wouldn't recognize it if it was in front of her face. She can only think from her perspective and what she knows: she doesn't have the ability to put herself in someone else's shoes. Now is this selfish? Maybe. But she is not a totally hateful person. She loved the old arrogant Arjun. However, that Arjun did love his father and wasnt completely cold either. I feel she loves that Arjun so much because that is how she is. She is selfish, narrow-minded and arrogant too...but she is also capable of love. She loves her sister, grandparents, and father very much.
even i pity her as well as hate her. pity because one day her imaginary world consisting of arjun will break, and she will feel betrayed/cheated. but her character shows signs of evilness, coz she is constant with her hate archana jaap or possesive about arjun, these traits shows us the inner self of a person. my dadi used to tell me, if you want to know a real person than see their bad side first, however good values they have but their one bad/evil value can destroy their life and life of those connected to them.
I'm off on a tangent but I guess that even though I can't stand Ovi (her looks or her manner or her dress...I mean really? What is she trying to prove? There seem to be several of my fellow Americans and Canadians in this forum and I'm sure none of us are that conspicuous. I mean good god girl...cover it up already)) I do feel she does have the potential in her to change...just like Arjun. However, there is no way to go about this storyline without killing her character I guess.
even i live in UK n majority of the indian girls are covered, they wear western clothes but at the same time covers themselves and they dont have a bad picture about india. agree that she has the potential to change, if someone shows her the right path n brings her to the real world in which people have their share of heart break n hatered n even than they dont turn negative (i have never come across girls/boys who turn negative to get back their love)

my opinion is n bold

I do think that Arjun, ie RD, has come a long way in his acting, expressing his emotions (and we should not bash him too much, it is the situation that he found himself in...the guy did try to tell Ovi and like someone rightly pointed out he can't do it on voice mail or email)...just as Asha has- as Purvi- beautifully expressing her pain...I do agree that Arjun will come through ultimately and us ARVI fans will rejoice...until then one day at a time, one episode at a time, whether we watch or just read the WUs Tanya provides...and always love the ARVI analysis by Shruti too!!!😊 ARVI ROCKS! LOVE LOVE LOVE ARVI!!!!

Dear Archana,

I can't tell you how flattered I am; it is always so nice to be told that one is missed! Not that I have any claim to more than commonsense, and certainly not to wisdom!

No, I have not been doing any long analyses for the past week, which must have been a relief to those long suffering members who had to plough through my earlier offerings, poor folk! It was because there were too many imponderables and one could not even make an educated guess as to which way the CVs would go. I saw no point in constantly trying to read the tea leaves, or perhaps the goat entrails like Catherine de Medicis, trying to see how the Arjun-Purvi and now Ovi mess would be resolved. However,I adhered to my resolution only in the letter, as my misc posts were, when added up, far longer than my more extensive efforts!

Today's episode was all Archana-Ovi-Manav, with the glowering Sachin thrown in just in case we all got too comfortable. Ovi gushed all over Archana after the initial bout of rudeness, and poor Manav seemed to be walking on hot coals. In the end, Archana voices her deep despair at the prospect of being left alone in 4 months when the pura parivar returns to Canada, while Manav looks one with an inscrutable expression on his face that is probably meant to signify that he is softening.

Well,we all know that this time she will be on that plane to Toronto, but that will of course be only after the TRPs take a dive and Balaj have finally given up on PR. I feel that in the near future, this Archana and her girls track will be followed much more than Arjun-Purvi, which will probably be stuck in a limbo like Trishanku, awaiting the return of DK.

What a pity we could not have more of the light-hearted Arjun-Purvi scenes, like those at the party! I liked it very much when Purvi twinkled up at Arjun in a rare bout of pure mischief, while he smiled back at her, shifting swiftly from mock exasperation to indulgent amusement.

He has a remarkably mobile face, does Rithwik, and it must be a tremendous advantage for him. It is all muscle control and body language. I remember that when he gets out his car in front of Purvi's house after his nightlong vigil, wet and stiff, we see him only from a distance at first. Still, he manages to convey the bone-tired state he is in, emotionally drained and physically worn out. And at other times he has an absolute poker face. Like when Ovi suddenly lands up on him in his office and says she wants to talk about Purvi. I am sure he was very tense inside, for he has no idea that she is not going to broach the topic that is uppermost in his mind. Yet his face shows no emotion at all when he asks her 'What about Purvi?'

We do not know what happened at the proposed meeting (in the office, of all places) between Arjun and Purvi. Obviously the CVs are treating it as a State secret. I have been saying tfor 2 days now hat Purvi SHOULD let Arjun talk to her, an I glad that for once good sense has prevailed with the CVs. Another couple of episodes of Purvi with eternally wet cheeks and I would have started climbing the wall. One is strongly tempted to gift her a box of handkerchiefs, she never seems to have any. It was all so routine, as for the standard TV soap heroine, and one does not want Purvi to become routine.

The meeting must have been after work; it seems dark when she is going home, and then turns back to the office. If she had told him they would have to drop it all since Ovi is her aayi's daughter, then there would have been no point in Purvi going to the restaurant to meet Arjun, file or no file.

On the other hand, he might have been able to persuade her to wait till DK gets back and sorts it all out for them. If it is true that Ovi sees them embracing, this can be he only explanation. Perhaps Ovi goes to the office to pick up Arjun thinking that he is working late, sees Purvi there and starts feeling suspicious, which would explain her fit of rudeness to Purvi, as to Archana earlier in the day. (In fact I was suprrised that she did not throw a earlier in the day in Purvi's office; Arjun in leaning over Purvi's chair and before he moves away, if she had seen him so close to Purvi she would have smelt a rat!) The snag in this theory is that one cannot fit in Ourvi's trip to the restaurant, which is a given.

So here I am reading the tea leaves, exactly what I said i would not do!Well, I expect it will all sort itself out, like the mystery of Purvi's cabin which agitated many members yesterday.

In conclusion, I would only repeat to what I always tell Trish, that Arjun-Purvi are unquestionably THE romantic couple in PR, and they will stay that way even if a dozen Ovis were to butt in. It is not for nothing that they are sandwiched between Archana and Manav in the opening credits for PR. Don't let anyone or anything make you doubt this.

I feel, however, that Purvi has to grow up, get her act together and show more initiative. If you have the time, please see my long response to Janhvi's Purvi's izzat or middle class tomfoolery? You would find it of interest.

Another post that I would recommend to you and to anyone else who might be reading this is the latest by desi chic. It is very emotional and my response focusses on this. You might like it a lot.

Thank you Shyamala! 😃 This does give me some heart and make me feel better! We also know that RD himself said they would be together although he wouldnt give any more details than that.
Another thing that I noticed, (I didnt see the episode yet- only Issa's clip) and I wonder if you agree- I saw the beginning of Arjun's determination and frustration coming back. In the office, when he is calling Purvi for the 100th time I can see the muscles in his face...and the determination all over it. Something tells me that this sacrifice thing may not last for long- he may be unable to accept letting Purvi out of his life for good.
I also wrote in a different post that I noticed that Arjun already pretty much disobeyed DK. DK told him not to do anything until he got back and spoke to Manav. However, in yesterday's episode, we saw him in the office again trying to tell Ovi the truth. He got interrupted by the orderly, then she came into Purvi's cabin, and I guess he decided not to tell her at that time because of the awkward position she put him in. Sitting on the table in front of him, grabbing and kissing his hands, and hugging him...and the whole time him totally miserably aware that Purvi is right outside watching this. I think he was just desparate for her to leave.
I want to see how Purvi will react when Arjun tells her that he told DK. Hopefully she will realize the sacrifice angle becomes a moot point at that time because DK already knows that Arjun does not love Ovi. (one can always hope)
I agree about the tea leaf reading...it is impossible to predict what the CVs will do next. One thing that I do see is that they do have a way of twisting things...sometimes to surprise us in a good way too. The negativity about Balaji and Ekta had me totally convinced and terrified that Ovi would run into Arjun in the airport first, hug him and Purvi would see...and we would never get a confession in the first place.
Thankfully that didnt happen.
I hope the CVs do something to lift our spirits and toss a bone our way again so to speak...

Archana, I so want Arjun to disobey DK, cast the world aside and sweep Purvi off her feet. Yes, this despite my fault finding forays. It is only exasperation and impatience that makes me tear up his character for not making haste in claiming Purvi. Please don't tell me he is trying but all his attempts are being foiled, I will not settle for anything less than fait accompli! 😃

Dear Janhvi,

Being a die-hard romantic even at my advanced age, so would I - want Arjun to sweep Purvi off her feet , that is. If I were she, I would have settled for this Lochinvar on a white horse (though any colour would do!) and galloped off with him into the sunset.

The rub is that though Arjun would be ready to cast the world aside for her sake, I am sure Purvi would not. She would want her aai, her aaji, and half the chawl with her, and poor Arjun would end up with a slipped disc trying to pry her loose of all these hangers on.

As for what DK told Arjun, he hopes to persuade Manav not to raise any objections to Purvi; it is an attempt at kaanton se daman chudana (freeing your dupatta from the thorns), without getting the cloth ripped. He is afraid that a premature disclosure by Arjun would queer the pitch for this and make matters much more complicated. After all, both he and Arjun care a great deal for Manav and Ovi, and would like to hurt them as little as possible while not losing sight of the main goal, getting Arjun and Purvi married.

I was struck by the dignity with which DK came through in the end, he did not ask a single question about Purvi's background, or talk about her ineligibility to be the bahu of the Kirloskar family. If despite his father's injunction, Arjun still (and most unwisely) attempts to broach the matter with Ovi in his office, it only shows how restless and tense he is.

It is another matter that even if he gets thru to Ovi, Manav and Purvi, in whichever order, nothing will change unless our ice maiden decides to look our for herself for once. Par iske to aasaar achche nazar nahin aate (the chances of this happening do not look too good, however). After all, the fait cannot be accompli if she does not cooperate, and she is, as we all know, a confoundedly obstinate girl.
