All of u writers have wrote an great overview or i say great brain stroming about Arjun and Purvi.. 👏 I myself agree with u all. The plot or the epic of the show is very much to be said undone..and now as the new gertation of Pavitra Rishta should not be all about sacefices as it was before...it should be more of reuning love between arjun and purvi and not leting others brake apart..i dont have much to say but just would hope that arjun tells everyone about his Love before the matters get more worst between him and purvi...and that archna should support purvi no matter what..and that we all ARVI fans gets to c our arjun and purvi togater ASAP.. 😛 😃

Dear samarp2,

I am very sorry that I did not thank you immediately for your kind words. I am glad you enjoyed this post. I am relatively new to this forum, and I have not done all that many posts, but I thoroughly enjoy the give and take with all of you.

Sometimes, however, I think we get carried away by our great affection for Arjun-Purvi (which at present, given that not many feel kindly towards Arjun), means only Purvi, and we do not take sufficient account of logic. Take today's precap, for example. Many are saying that Arjun should have been able to anticipate that Ovi would be excessively demonstrative, and should have closed the door so that Purvi could not see him being hugged by Ovi. However, if he HAD closed the door, it would have looked a lot shadier, and then how was he to know the Ovi was going to drape herself all over him? Arjun's father has been very understanding about his need to break up with Ovi, but he has asked him to wait till he returns from Australia and talks to Manav, and so Arjun is stuck with Ovi for the time being. We have to understand this, and there is no point in bursting a blood vessel over the precap. At least that is what I feel

Dear Shyamala,
I do agree that if Arjun closes the door it seems shadier. So, it is better to keep it open.
But, as we know from SBS segments, and precap shown today, that Ovi will be doing a lot of the same in front of Purvi. Therefore, as an arvi fan, it really feels bad to see this not once but many times over. I hope you understand that it seems a bit ugly now cause we know that arvi have confessed to each other. Had they not been in love, or had been oblivious to it, this would not have hurt as much.
Thanks,
Trish

You are right Shyamala. In the precap, though Ovi hugged him, Arjun didnt hug her. Atleast Purvi gets to witness that.
But Teju's constant talk about Ovi's obsession, Purvi's sacrifice nature and these office events are not helping Arjun-Purvi situation. Arjun gave her 24 hours or so to accept him and it looks like Purvi might take the same amount of time to get him out of her mind. this is my fear I should say.

Respect your opinion .. but arjun not hugging Ovi is good for Purvi to see, but it is not good for Ovi.
Arjun knows he won't be marrying Ovi right now.. his acquiescence to her displays of affection post engagement are leading her on .. and might lead to an even worse heartbreak for Ovi..

Dear Trish,

Please don't work yourself up so much; as you know, it bothers me. You are far too nice a person and far too sensitive, and at this rate, you will make yourself ill before this is all over. And it WILL blow over one day soon, you will see. You know, these kinds of scenes used to be a staple of the Hindi melodramas till the 1990s. Misunderstandings, sacrifices, the wrong people getting involved, sad songs at the piano- the works. I never felt sorry for any of those beleaguered couples the way I do now for Arjun-Purvi. That is in fact the problem and you have it far worse than I do.

I was very pleased with the way DK reacted to that very blunt and direct confession from Arjun. The son did not beat around the bush, was very forthright is asserting that he should never have been kept in the dark about the engagement, and candid about Purvi and his love for her. It was all very man to man,and yet when DK was initially shocked and angry, Arjun unleashed his Brahmastra, saying that his Mom should have been there, and insisting that he needed his father and DK had to help him. He knows how to handle even a tough nut like DK and get his own way.

Aashana is DK's Achilles heel, and the shot goes home. He comes round in an instant, concedes that Arjun might be right, and even offers to sort it out himself with Manav. And I do not have the slightest doubt that he will deliver on this promise. See how he does not object to Purvi in any of the familiar ways; he seems to accept her simply because his son loves her and does not say a word any more about Ovi, despite caring so much for her.

One does not know how long DK will be away, and all these complications will multiply in the meantime. You can hardly expect Ekta's team to let go of any openings for further drama and tears. We just have to grit our teeth and bear it as best as we can,as we KNOW that all will be well in the end. DK's support and willingness to help actively will be a great plus for Arjun-Purvi, just as opposition from him would have made it much tougher for them. Especially since Arjun is genuinely troubled about the impact this will have on Manav and Ovi.

It is also now clear, or at least very likely, that Arjun's passive attitude towards Ovi is because of DK having told him to stay still till he returns, and not because Purvi has forced this on him as part of her sacrifice plan. This is a promising factor, and it is at least possible that Purvi might not get around to it at all. That would be another major plus, for these kasams and the like are very tricky to get rid of.

Ovi is doing that to her self by playing dumb and not sensing that something is wrong and Arjun is not at all responsive to her shows of affection. She is setting herself up for whatever is coming her way which I hope is the end of Arjun/ovi fiasco!!

Dear Shyamala,
I am actually feeling weary after the turn of events. It is getting muddier with each passing day. Yes, but there is hope too. And like you say in bold .. this shall pass too. :)
Thanks for the reassurance. Need it more now that they will subject us to Ovi goofing up ARVI further. I am really scared of her character right now.

These are all baseless fears. At some point very soon, Arjun will have to manage to get Purvi alone, talk to her and tell her about what DK has told him to do and what DK has promised to do. At that point she might spring the sacrifice decision on him. Let us see how he reacts to that.

This apart, I really feel, and I hope you will not take this amiss, that you are all over-reacting and behaving as though this was a tragic tale on the lines of Dr. Zhivago. Well, it is NOT. Arjun and Purvi are still firmly in place in the opening panel for each episode, plumb centre, thus both declaring and reinforcing their status as the anointed heirs of Archana and Manav's Pavitra Rishta, of course updated for Gen Y.

And if Purvi can get Arjun out of her mind in 24 hours, good for her. It would only prove that her love was a weak plant that withered in the first cold blast. What she should be concerned about is not Ovi's obsession for Arjun, but how much it is reciprocated. I was surprised that she did not sound Teju out on this point; she would very likely have got a candid and (for Purvi) reassuring answer.

Trish.. yeah it doesn't look good from Ovi's angle, but we cannot look at the situation from Ovi or Punni or Teju's angle and get worked up. Just see things from Arjun and Purvi's angle and count the positive things that can lead to their reunion.

@shyamala -- Loved this.. "Arjun unleashed his Brahmastra" Sure he did and it worked for the moment.
