I agree with you. Purvi could wear some nice sarees for special occasions, like the one in Pune, and ask Arjun to select them for her, as he seems to have excellent taste both in women and women's wear! Very few men would dare to venture into the saree section and actually be able to choose something so elegant and becoming.
But in general, as I noted elsewhere, I am grateful that she dresses so simply, and does not sport backless cholis, blue eye shadow, shoulder length earrings, and 25 bangles on each arm; she looks a nice, modest working girl and thus most convincing.
Which is a rarity in TV soaps, where all the females are grossly overdressed and made up, no matter WHAT the occasion. Just look at Ovi in that multilayered multi-coloured dress in the last episode! She reminded me of nothing so much as a circus clown. And she is supposed to be a fashionista. Just like our actresses, who are fixated on western evening wear these days, no matter that they do NOT have the figures to carry off such outfits. I would any day prefer Teju in her taxi driver's uniform!
And as for Purvi's looks, when she is properly photographed, as just before her engagement fiasco, she is something more than beautiful. She has the bones, and while even great beauty (which hers is not) often fades drastically with age, a fine, delicate bone structure lasts and lasts. So will Purvi's elegant, fine drawn looks.

I think we should just accept Purvi in whatever suits they give her. Howmch ever we may say, give her new suits, dresses, or anarkalis.. the CVs won't listen. They will make her look as simple as possible.
She' looks mindblowing in saris.. like the blue one she wore in the dance ... I want to see her in red, black, pink, yellow , even plain gold sarees.. she looks like a princess.. but I guess we just have to accept her in whatever the CVs make her wear..Purvi is a true beauty .. and love her just the way she is.. although would love to see her in a bit more glamorous clothes .. right now..
