Yes he did. Manav used to work long hours thinking his brother is doing some computer course and will be get a good job when he graduates so he didnt mind working hard to support his brother. What his brother did was bunk college, hang out with loafers, gamble and sell movie tickets in black market. He always needs money so he just helps himself to money in Manav's pocket. Manav never said a thing cuz he thought his brother needed it for books Savita seen him stealing from Manav's pocket but never said anything. Then later she encouraged Sachin Sr to go after Shravani simply because she is rich.
@bold - savita herself used to steel the money from manav's pockets. that's how she found out movie ticket that was paid by tarun, jewellery receipt, etc... she though manav paid for those tickets and eating outside, next day she made archana walk long way to get vegetables...
