lol .. i havent been watching PR even with sushant ... and well .. doesnt matter who plays the role now .. doesnt matter if manav is killed and archu is made widow ...
basically .. it just doesnt matter ...
The show is unbearable ...

And I dont think sushant's impending departure from the show had any connection with the show going downhill ...
Whats the relation between the two of them ?...

And it was NOT a "kabhi haa , kabhi naa " situation from sushant's side ...

He notified the PH months in advance ... extended his stay on the request of the PH for a few more weeks ...
I think he has been very professional and accommodating ...

Regarding hiten .. he is good .. and will do the role well ...
Its just that our mind is attuned with sushant playing manav ... so obviously adjust karna thoda mushkil hai...

and i guess the whole sushant-ankita real life equation makes it even harder for viewers to accept a new face ...

those who dont really care that much "ArMan/Sushita" .. those who watch the show for the tracks , and not really die-hard viewers .. would probably not mind much ...

Regaring the TRPs .. I think it will pick up for a few episodes after hiten's entry and after the leap .. but after the initial curiosity .. I think it will slip again ( like how it happened with the four year leap)

One thing everyone is forgetting, Ekta did NOT fire sushant,

sushant himself was not interested in continuing ... He has been threatening to walk out since eons ... we all thought it was a publicity stunt to raise trps ... but obviously, he kept wanting to leave, they kept holding him back - either by giving him more money or by saying that we won't call you for so many days, so you don't need to give it all your time, you can do other things you want to on the side ... in the end the serial suffered

Sushant hasn't been 'threatening' to walk out. He has been wanting to walk out as he had other things on his mind since a long time, even during Kis Des days.

The serial didn't suffer bcos of Sushant doing other things on the side, rather the serial suffered bcos of crap story. Sushant was always there in the episodes, he had scenes with the whole family too, there was no excess of body doubles unlike serials like BALH where half of the time body doubles are used.

I think Sushant has been a thorough professional by agreeing to wait for so long and keeping other options on the hold just bcos the production house wasn't ready about having a new Manav or ending the show or not getting a suitable replacement. If the show had suffered due to him even a teeny weeny bit, Ekta wouldn't have spared him. That woman doesn't tolerate things like this at all- there is a long list of examples. The fact that he left on such a positive note with Ekta with a farewell party and all speaks for itself.

Good points ... i am just speculating - i have nothing against sushant ...

Of all the characters that have been assassinated, Manav's has been the worse ... Other characters have taken a turn for the worse but Manav - they have just sidelined him and shoved him in the corner . Like they don't care what he does or says . Nothing he does has an impact on the story. He just flits from office to home, filling up time, without any decent scene

So could be that the scriptwriters screwed up big time or that sushant wanted to do other stuff so they removed the focus from him ... Like i said, speculating

Thats why i think the change is good ... When a new actor walks in, he obviously has to learn but even the writers re mold the character to fit the actors image, his mannerisms, his unique style ... either way, with a new actor and leap, they have to be reworking the entire storyline because the rubbish they have been showing for the past few months has been summarily rejected by the audience

I'm not really convinced about the 'removing focus from Manav part' cos Sushant was involved in other stuff- his role seemed to be the same as it always was- even during the whole Shravani track, Archana and Savita Shravani were the ones doing everything, he was hardly given much space to do anything, and that was long ago. Manav was always designed as such ever since the beginning. They developed the character well in places, then suddenly he had no voice or prominent role in the track, then again he was prominent and so on. It has nothing to do with Sushant's other commitments, I feel.

I doubt whether they will genuinely try to IMPROVE Manav's role or his character (BT people never seemed to be concerned about the way the character appears to the audience and change them as they want), cos their focus is basically on Archana, who will always come up with all the solutions and shown to be mahaan in the end no matter hw crappy they are, but yes, they will probably give Manav more dialogues in the story and some focus hopefully to give him a grand entry at least. They really need to put a thought into their story from here on. I said it in another thread a few minutes back, that a replacement works out if it is accompanied by an equally strong storyline or twist, like Hasratein, or a better example would be Kyunki, I think when the second Mihir failed, they introduced Ronit Roy as the new Mihir after leap along with the whole Mandira Karan revelation, which worked out for the show.

Im not really convinced wid this replacement. It cud hav been Sharad. He and Anki cud have brought in a nice chemistry.

Anyways.. I doubt ANYONE cud do a justice to Manav's role. Even if it means only he come and stands in a corner. His character is calm and collected so it all draws upon the body language.. The bent shoulders, the closing of eyes wen trying to speak, the crack in the voice, the little dance he does wid his hands wen something is very wrong, the smile, the gulping..
Manav IS Sushant.

Once again, ATB Hiten. You REALLY need it. 😆

If Ekta ever plans a leap in BALH... how will it work.. :-/ I mean the leads r already old.. Just wondering.. 😆

Manav IS Sushant.

I will add to that: the helpless look when Archana is giving one of her lectures or does not understand him, the angry look, the small shy smile when something happens the way he wants or someone praises him, the naughty one when with Archana...
