Ankita refuses to shoot 'Pavitra Rishta'

Mumbai, Mar 30 (IBNS) Have you caught the latest promos of Zee TV's popular soap 'Pavitra Rishta' where it appears as if the "ideal" daughter-in-law Archana pushes Savita Tai into their kitchen and bolts the door behind her?

Have you checked the sinister look on Archana's face as the kitchen goes up in flames moments after as she steps out …?

Could this possibly be the unveiling of a new side of Archana's personality?

Whatever the case be, actress Ankita Lokhande who plays the role of Archana was not in the least amused when she read the screenplay of this sequence at a recent shoot.

"Are you serious, guys? Archana is the epitome of everything the ideal Indian woman stands for. People have deep faith instilled in her. Women look up to her, admire her, emulate her. I am not about to let thousands of my fans down by shooting a sequence where I am seen to be pushing my mother-in-law into a burning kitchen!" said a worried Ankita.

She refused to shoot and reports have it that it took a lot of convincing by the director to finally have her shoot the scene.

While the channel and production house are tight-lipped about this mysterious promo, sources reveal that as per the current track of the show, Usha Nadkarni's character Savita Tai has Alzheimer's and is disoriented, suffering from acute depression and has lost the will to live.

As her caring, supportive bahu, Archana will be shortly seen stepping into her house and acting in a manner that will provoke and instigate her to bounce back and react in her typical, loud, brash manner.

It's the methods adopted to bring back Savita Tai to normalcy that have Archana all worried about her image ….

Now this is more shocking. What the hell she meant by pushing savita aai into a burning kitchen?😲 Rajesh lost his marbles!! His wife did that to his mothe??. This is crazy and just too much. Taunts are okay. Getting physical is not okay.😡

promotion gimmick.....nothing else.

its all to make audience curious.

In the epi it will be shown archu savita fighting....archu locking savita in kitchen.....savita will get mischievous....she will put her pallu on fire. archu will save savita.....archu will come out nice.

uff what drama they make up in saas bahu saga.......i hope pr doesn't become the gheesa peeta saas bahu saga which it had come out from.

What the hell are they trying to do hurt people in real life.Well at least we know the close bond Usha ji n Anki share in real life.😊 Can understand why Anki is hesitant to do such scenes Archu is not like that n Anki is not like that.

Now we know why Archu is doing that for heaven's sake dont go overboard in making Archu look negative here.Come CV's we need positivity for a change.IS Rajesh lost it 😡

Now dont show a track that seriously creates misunderstandings between Arman...Rajesh dont create another crap of a track.

One can understand Anki being worried if this goes overboard it can degrade Archu character and also TRP's.Rajesh heaven sake dont go overboard and put Archu in grey shade scenario.Sort this mess soon!!! Damn how far people are going to stretch this!!!

I personally dont like this storyline at all...Alzheimer and depression is shown in a totally different way...

Archu being the role model for young women who follow and emulate her 😲 Today's women are way different than what Archu's character is all about...That belongs to my GM era not today..

Throwing old MIL in burning kitchen is the way to bring her back to normalcy? Who the heck is writing this storyline? I am so amused by the airhead people writing anything they want..

Going from Shakkar to the other extreme is the only thing CVs can think of? Can't there be something in between like being assertive but not violent?

I dont like how Savita is portrayed either coming home from hospital being under medical condition...No one acts like this..May be CVs need to do bit research on Alzheimer and Depression b4 they use those medical condition for the storylines...

I know that they will show Savita getting well in the end, thanks to Archu's efforts. But have they at least consulted a psychiatrist before writing this storyline??? Cos the way they show 'handling' of such patients somewhere affects viewer mentality, I feel, even though audiences know that this is just fiction.

BTW, why is Archana deciding how to handle Aai? Shouldn't that be the psychiatrist's call?

THat is exactly what I am talking abt...They saw medical doctor only..

Alzheimer needs special MD's consultation..

Depression needs medical as well as psychologist inital consultation too...

Depression is related to many things including post Manopause in Savita's case..I don't like the way Savita is shown coming from hospital...Her condition of Alzheimer or Depression is shown more of a evil MIL...She was better off being sick and alone at home..😳

Look at Sasha today just b/c Archu mentioned adopting a child Varshu is already considering it.. Shouldn't Sasha be having a convo between themselves abt all options? For Varshu it is easiar to take suggestions from her sis Archu than even listening or having convo with her MIL in nice-assertive manner...

Isn't having a child or which option to use should be Sasha's decision together along with consulting OBGYN to know what other options they have??

Yes Adoption is a wonderful way of giving a needy child a home with lots of love and care...

But what if Satish still wants his own baby with Varshu? Why is no medical professional consulted here?

Niki U know me knowing a whole lot abt different subjects, these type of storylines bother me so much...What do they think janta is pagal and have no brains of their own?😡

CVs are writing garbage IMHO...and I am SOTD to even watch it...😡

i'm one of dose persons who doesnt get how a old lady will get cured by being locked in a kitchen room..

anyways its too early to say abt the whole sequence but den also Archu wont change i guess as we saw in SBB today dat she's gonna scream at savita ...ummm
