I dont think smrth posted anything untoward in the other thread. But the thread itself was an analysis of how people analyze the PR characters, than an analysis of the characters themselves. It seemed like a direct reply/reference to another thread on this forum. Especially the part about the TRPs coz I havent seen that mentioned in any other posts on the forum. So malinn, please take care that your posts are your analysis on the characters themselves and not in reference to other people's opinions.

Star_wars, I'm not sure if you read the other thread I was referring to. But if you have, you will see the second post by malinn as the direct reply to the first thread. I think while everybody can post their opinions, making a post in reply to another post is inviting fights. If somebody wants to reply to a post in a particular thread, they can do so in the same thread right? While I like malinn's way of writing so far and while I may or may not agree with her opinions, I dont think it is right to include a reference for what another commentator said on their post in her thread.

First of all......If you did read any of my posts, you will see that there is NO MENTION of TRP's...... I have at no point ever myself referred to the TRP's of this show..... I strongly request you to re-read my posts and revert on this.......

As regards the analysis......again, if you read this post correctly, it is a contradiction of the popular points of discussion on this forum, so obviously it has reference to other posts/threads.......

If objectivity is maintained.....and there are no snide remarks or references......then what is the harm?

What purpose does a public discussion forum serve, if it does not allow one to air one's views in a civil and cordial manner..... A discussion forum is for discussions...... and discussions can only take place in opposing views......

Malinn, I'm sorry if I understood wrong. But I thought your starting comments about the two pieces you were going to talk about in you post---"great indian viewer" and about romancing seemed like a direct reference to another post, to me. Maybe that was not your intention, maybe you had not even read the other post; but that's what it seemed like to me. Because both of these points were made in the other post, and nowhere else as far as I know. So if you did not have the intention, then I'm sorry for assuming so. If you did, please do your analysis without referencing other's comments.

Dear if you want to be fair then believe this, every other post or thread is bits and pieces from people's comments. I can give you many examples but I find such things simple.

All I am concerned about is that this is a public forum and as long as posts and threads are within IF rules then all is fair. Closing respectable threads with the premise of it targeting or offending some is totally unfair.

I end it here.

That is quite possible. I am a very new and non-regular member of this forum, so I dont know everything and enter very few threads even now only when I have something to say. So I am probably missing this referencing--I mentioned this one because I noticed it.
