Neatly written. As far as Archana's slapping goes, I think its more an act of self defense than anything else. She really has no weapons to pull on anyone at all. No money, no power, no leverage of her viles and she is being pushed around. She is in a very desperate situation where she has no friend or confidante and only people around her who constantly berate her decisions. All her well wishers are bringing her to a no-win situation w.r.t her marriage and stupid unreasonable requests to accompany Jayvant on his mindless expeditions. It is to her credit that she is not suicidal..all this good enough to drive anyone up that road.

good post Smrth, though not entirely agree with it. I appreciate your writing skill , but can't say same about Archana.

Agreed she couldn't hear what Dramesh had to say about Manav and resulted in her slapping him.This is just one incident , but can't she control her behavior .the show is running on her pagalpan for Manav and his Junoon for her. Accordingly the characters are portrayed .

He has taken her goodness for granted and extracted divorce signature from her when she clearly dIDN"T want the divorce and kept looking at him with pathetic puppy eyes till the end . . That said , I know , I know ...........it was the U USED Me to TRICK me to get my signature and ur blaming my BHAGWAN ..........that reaction . . But bottomline remains SAME .............Slap was given coz TRuth is bitter .She was unable to handle it .😃

Friends, today is a happy day on the net; One, for savoring an entertaining duel of V.anand v/s Topalov in Nanging (Anand winning). Two, for surviving an uncertain kind of post like this and on top of it, receiving a rarest approbation from the wife😳- nicknamed –'stutishah' above here- in one of her rarest reading of my 'laborious' (in her words!) writings!!😊

Using my leave to disagree, as stated in your earlier thread,😃 I posted this one.😊

In my personal take, I take 'slap' in a social environ as a cheap enterprise with signs of inadequate upbringing…but in special case- well?!.😆...

Looking from the script POV- slaps are always used as a cheap, irritating mean to steroid spurt increase of TRPs ( and as much harmful, in the long run), all useless (at least in this serial😡) for the actual flow of the story and all left abandoned with most immature fall outs and with out any satisfactory ( from viewer's satisfaction POV) closures.😡 Speaking on this particular slap- the script's biggest fault is the selection of the receiver, if at all they wanted to show the slap as her anger at cheating- the chap should have been the fiance. But, that would have spoilt their plan with trash track of Jaywant with an abrupt break. (though, how they can proceed after the 'expose' is beyond me😕).

My real opposition is not to the side characters or their grayness. Actually in any good story, supporting cast and their sound etching is as much necessary and convivial as that of the lead. BUT that can not continue at the expense of the leads ('periphery at the core's cost' as stated in an earlier comment). That is entirely fault of the script and chief source of ugliness. With that resting my suit…
