My idea of romance is hard hitting and practical .Roses , chocolates , candle lite dinners dont come into it .Reality does .No one will like it .If my book is published , I will send it to u .

I do the same thing, my net is on the whole day, I study and when I start feeling sleepy or bored, I just refresh the pages to see what you people are discussing.

Yup! Please send me one autographed copy. By the way, have you written any story in the past kools???

I wouldn't say my idea of romance is hard hitting or practical, but I really don't like candles or flowers and stuff too. I like cute romance- very subtle sort... like ArMan had in the beginning- like eating panipuris together after bunking college and teasing each other(hey I'm not talking about myself okay, I saw this in a film) .

Niks I wrote , strangely enough in mARATHI . Long ago , they were published in literary magazines . I thought in Marathi , I wrote in marathi .

This is first time Im writing In English .I havent done a creative writing course as is needed here in the US .Lets see how it works out .
Am also writing a commentary on Dyaneshwari . We read it in my group on Mondays and every once in a month we r asked to talk on how we comprehend it . Well , When I spoke about my thoughts , people seemed to like it and listened intently .Am not praising myself here but thats how it happened .My husband then told me not to just give oral speech , but to write it down as a commentary .So that by the end of the year I may have a mini thesis of sorts .
I dont know where life will take me from here , but all i know is I want to write and write like hell .All those thoughts in me that go against popular opinion , I want to voice them .

Some people conviniently believe that they have never done anything to anyone...Not only in denial but have convinced themselves of it so they truly believe that they are innocent and good people...
BTW to ArMan fans Manav has been unfair to both women...Hurt them both not only Archu...
BTW Kools I would be interested in your book and would not mind paying for it 😃 I love romance, flowers, candles etc but eventually reality we have to accept and that is marriage 😆 Best wishes..

Varsha i get stunned to see comments like Archu always did 'good to others' so she will have a content heart . To this point , I dont see the girl having any content heart , i find a thirsting heart , craving for love from a self absorbed , image conscious man like Manav . As far as the 'good to others ' is concerned ............Honestly , theres a LIMIT to the nonsensical glorification of Archu that goes on in the forum . She AWAKENED the monster in Jay with her 'GOOD DEEDS" , she made Shravani scream with her 'GOOD DEEDS" , she desroyed the institution of marraige with her 'GOOD DEEDS" She constantly puts her family thru EMBARASSMENT with her GOOD DEEDS , [ Dont they bloody need a normal moment } , She is NOW going to close Dharmeshs factory down with her GOOD DEEDS and render thousands jobless ..........so HER MANAV can get out . GOOD DEEDS which do so much satyanash and cause havoc r not good deeds at all . I dont see any other character destroying peoples lives to this extent as Manav Archna did . They BOTH destroyed the peace in Dharmeshs business and shut it down .......he and SAtish were FINE till this SICK pavitra Rishta Duo came along .

I have this strange problem with Marathi- if someone says it, I understand and reply back. But when I read it, I have to read it loudly to myself at first, hear my voice and then understand it. 😆

Wow... Dyaneshwari... you seem to have a nice group out there kools, discussing Bhagwad Gita and stuff... I always liked the Mahabharata more than Ramayana, seemed more real to me. I always used to wonder which character I resembled😆 cos sometimes it seems that we get to see every human trait in Mahabharata- people with grey shades- no one perfect except for Lord Krishna of course. Wish we had a section for books too like serials here in I-F so we could dissect each character until we knew every little fragment of them- we learn so much from PR even though its an Ekta Kapoor show, it would be FUN to discuss Mahabharata.

Oh yes- we did have B.R. Chopra's Mahabharata. Gosh, have seen it so many times now- those actors are etched out in my mind. Once my teacher asked me how do you visualize God- and I wanted to say that whenever I think of Lord Krishna, I always get nitish bharadwaj's face in mind. He is my bhagwan now!!!😆

kool your analysis of archu reminded me of rani Padmini . how she might have felt when jumping in fire. her beauty destroyed the entire kingdom.
here archu love for Manv might destroy her brother-in-laws business .

husband & wife's relationship should be like scissors , cut whoever comes in between them. Archu is not a teenager nor a spoilt rich girl . she should be aware of what she is doing and the consequences of her actions on her family.

She is desperately in love with an image conscious , self absorbed man who gives more importance to his word over her . And this love of hers is lapped up as something GREAT by some of her fans .I dont consider Tanya and GM in those as they both r pretty objective . She is also considered to be a messiah of GOOD DEEDS and I find it shocking .She has put her family thru embarassing hell , not one , but 3 families and she was perfectly ready to destroy Jays life with a loveless commitment .why ??coz Manav shud get the license to marry Shravni and keep his WORD . She has insulted Jay in the worst possible way . Her GOOD DEEDS have left a string of casualties , and now may destroy her brother in laws and thousands of workers . People say that Shravni cannot see bEYOND HER JEALOUS NOSE , but ARchu cannot see BEYOND MANAV . I dont see Shravnis jealous nose causing havoc to lots of people , all I see is justified or not , she fights with her souten for her man , bas . The suffering remains on an individual level .But not seeing beyond Manav has led to destruction of FAMILIES and now perhaps thousands .

That Mahabharata was the best one I saw. After that 2 versions came, both were bad. Ekta Kapoor's one was horrid. It looked like enactment of some Egyptian drama, all those strange clothes they wore.

Kools, you have a feminist circle or what????? 😆

You know Kools why I didn't persist about that ragging thing that day? Cos I understood it is difficult to make people believe that I actually had a good experience, that my juniors ran for me while I was in hospital and they have fun with me. There have been so many horror stories, that this harmless fun- is evil now. Just like dowry actually started as the bride's parent giving gifts to thier daughter voluntarily as sign of love (I'd read that it started with Parvati's parents giving her lots of gifts at the time of marriage) - but ended up as a horrific crime- that way.

I realised that even if my- and countless others experiences have been good- it is difficult to convince people that raggers are not really bad, and if done in a limit, it can actually be good for you. Cos the horrible stories have degraded this whole thing. Debate is actually useless. That is why I didn't even try and justify that thing- the whole time I said, I'm just trying to say a ragger is not necessarily a villain- not advocating ragging- using my people's experience as an example.

Its the same thing in my house also. every year, Mom and Dad say don't rag juniors, poor children they are. But I laugh like a Ravan, and say of course I will. And you know what- I was touched one day when one junior actually sent me a message (she was sick and I'd taken her to hospital and talked non stop to her)- that for the first time I felt like I was with a sibling- you don't choose your family, you fight with your siblings- but they make you feel good and love you and you learn to love them back. It was so touching. That was 2 years ago. I still haven't deleted that message- so touched I was.

That day when you said, not everyone's experience is so good, I decided to look up in the internet- and found blogs filled with ragging experiences- mostly engineering and medical ones- people ROFLing about their ragging days and remembering fondly how memorable they were.

And so I decided not to debate any more on this. Those who have had a good experience will always defend it. Those who have seen the horrific side of it, they will always hate it. Its just like believing the presence of God in an idol, if you believe he is there in it, even 100 proofs can't move you. If you don't have faith, a single scientific proof is sure to sway you away. And so just as we condemn dowry, maybe we should condemn ragging too, so that some order is retained. But my point is the same- all raggers are not villains. Depends on what one considers ragging- unleashing the animal in you- or having a bit of harmless fun for breaking the ice.

So lets call it a truce kools. I really don't think we will come at a conclusion. I don't have any big lines to say or heavy duty quotes to make, I just have experiences of a number of people- lots and lots of them. Of course I would gladly like to know your views on the same. But trust me kools, its not a 'i was abused so i will abuse type of thing.' I was ragged, but was never abused. I did ragging, but I never abused.
