Agree with you.
I also think that partly it has to do with the fact that she was scared that he would lose his job!
If one expects Archana to suddenly turn professional and practical, it is not going to happen, since a person's true nature cannot change suddenly. It takes time and life'e experiences to get modified. But we always remain basically what we are. Only rarely do drastic personality changes occur. I agree with u that she was partly scared he wud LOSE the job . No one is asking her to change overnight here , she was given a yearly leap. And we DID see the difference in her in the way she handled Shravni by refusing calmly to give up her job . The change WAS shown .
Her emotional nature could be seen in the content of her blasting, however inappropriate it sounded. I am a working woman and I have seen how different people react to similar situations, whether rightly or wrongly. Some are cool and collected. Some are not. Archana is till a novice and is still learning but I do not ever think that she would handle situations the way Jayant or Dharmesh would have. Just as we cannot see Dharmesh think or behave the way Archana does.
So comparing her behaviour with an ideal one and blasting her repeatedly on this count is not wholly justified. She is doing a job..........why shudnt job etiquette be expected from her ? I dont get the point ! I wud have understood it if she had done the same blasting privately with him , with just jAywant but she did it in front of all , especially Dharmesh . Its not the blasting I object to as much as the wAY she did it . As far as comparing behaviour with an ideal one is concerned , of course it will happen . People of different nature will work in a job but they will follow a commom protocol , rules and company etiquette , right ? Its hardly idealism .......its just expected of them , bas . If everyone starts acting due to their nature there will be chaos , so we do see people going to the cabin when they get a memo and talking according to protocol , right ? I see people in this forum blasting Shravni repeatedly by comparing her behaviour with an ideal girl .........this always happens , why shud Archna be exempt ?
I also do not think that she or her family disrepect manav. Sometimes sudden and unexpected situations are confusing and there is no set method of reacting to them. Everyone reacts his or her own way. After the initial surprise of seeing him at the wedding, I think they did try to connect with him such as asking him to join them etc etc. But both sides were actually unsure of what was expected of them and under such circumstances keeping quiet is often a good option. They still love and respect him but given the current situation, it is difficult to say which is the correct way of behaving with him or him with them.Perhaps . Although I personally found it ridiculous that they took his help in the wedding AND opted to keep quiet as they were 'unsure' . After that kind of help , one simply doesnt keep quiet and the least they cud do was make him eat lunch with them at their table . Still , i can accept ur POV here . But the fact remains that the respect these two son in laws got due to their wealth and status was NOT got by Manav simply coz he was poor . His mother was thrown out at Varshas engagement although she was RIGHT only to humor a rich samdhan ........BHAVNA. There this poverty factor was highlighted . That situation was not about right or wrong , it was about procuring a rich , good alliance for second daughter , so the elder damaad who was poor , was thrown out with his family with the assumption that they can be managed with an apology later ...it was kind of taking them for granted . Like it or not , this poverty factor plays everywhere , whether the Karanjkars mean it or not .As I see it , they dont do it openly now and perhaps have really grown to like Manav as a human being too , but the way they treat him at CRUCIAL times brings it out . Like the engagement .......they took his help in preparations and bEta Beta was going on TILL a choice was asked to be made , Vaishus wedding where his help was taken , but conveniently recognition was NOT shown as they were 'UNSURE" , yesterday , when fight took place ........wondering how Manav , who is a veritable glacier , cud erupt like this .there MUST be something ...........again , a crucial moment and Manav the mechanic was looked at not Manav the husband . It exists subtly , this distinction .At least Thats the way I saw it . My POV . Thanks for ur reply after so many days .😊
This is my POV.
