Generally men dont cook in places like villages or in rich families where they have servants or they are businessmen. But in middle class families i have seen many around who cook. Believe me i have seen many. LOL..

Varsha i think a lot depends on the women to. sometimes gujju women perpetuate the cycle by endorsing such trends. i see it with my own family back home.😳😕

I totally agree with you...My dad a Doctor never felt bad chopping vegies or making Undhiyu or some special dishes...My elder bro also is fantastic cook but his wife is also wonderful cook...I know many mothers raise girls expecting them to cook and guys are not taught any of those responsibilities...It was different in my time but now both in a couple work why can't they help each other out around the house work? My hubby helps out with most everything...Only thing he can't do is cook...So I have accepted that...One day when I can't cook he knows he will have to provide tiffin service for us...No more home cooked meals...Soweeee Embarrassed
