How can one someone be dhrampatni without getting married...if he marries without getting divorced,he'll end up in jail

If manav doesnt divorce archana,he'll in no way marry shravani...I mean full-fledged saat phere ki shaadi...I cant see this happening

No, you're not being silly, that's the way it's usually depicted, particularly if both wives are aware of the situation: one's a wife by a legal marriage and the other's by a religious one. Ugly business.

Edit: That is, of course, provided the first marriage has been legalized. If not, both could be temple / religious ceremonies, equally lacking in legal teeth. Though these days some courts have been ruling in favour of common law wives and wives from religious ceremonies too.

Can they go ahead with a religious ceremony to marry when legally he's already married?

Indian law has mandated every religious marriage to be legalized.

Now,people have court marriage on the day of their religious one as well.

You see Gauri , Kool said that Manav will marry Shraavni before his divorce ( a religeous ceremony , not legal one , you know how paranoid Shravani can be and how accomodating he is to her needs ) . All with Archana also giving a go ahead as she perhaps already takes her as his wife ...

But when it will come to the divorce court , he will say No , I will not divorce my wife . Hence having 2 wives .A proper one ( I mean legal wife Archaan ) and the second wife being Shravani .

I really hope that if that happens then Archana should say Yes to divorce and make sure that she is away from this horrible siyuation . Just like she refused to wear the mangalsutra .....She does not takes herslef as manav's wife anymore only as someone who loves him ...

If CRs show some outrageously silly thing,its upto them...but its perfectly illegal in India to even marry religiously when u dont have a legal divorce.

When before in BT shows,they used to show religious marriages this law wasnt in place...this came into effect in the last two yrs or so(cant remember exactly...but recently)

As of now,it doesnt make sense to show such marriages.

Manav can end up in jail on one phone call from Rasika.

At this point,Manav doesnt look like he'll take saat pheras to please or lessen shravani's anxiety.
