I think they they are trying to keep a certain sari trend. marathi style. the silk boarder, block print . Munju is the one that wears the most elegant of them all yet it seems so simple to us. I think its just the sari type that makes it look simple or out dated. We are now use to stuff with bead work, sequince work or zari work. Even simple saries now a days have that in them. Since they are trying to keep close to the marathi culture in PR, the sari are also that way. I am not very found of those types of sari's also. I liked what Vershu wore in the second half of her engagement. that was nice, but they can't afford to look like that everyday because of middle class setting. If you notice, even when they buy new sarees its always the same sari in different colors. So I don't see a change happening here, because it fits the cultural setting that the creatives were trying to produce.
