I agree with most of your points. I didn't like it that Archu asked her family to go away. She is being as unfair to them as Manav is to her.

I had got really frustrated with Manav and even thought of leaving this serial. But I liked his behavior in todays episode.

Had the fight not occured ,Manav,Archu,sulo n all including damodar baba n savita would have sat through the engagement bcoz all wanted varsha's engagement...why ruin her happiness for a scum like Ajit?Infact,Ajit wanted this fight...he wanted to ruin varsha's happiness.....the rest knew it somewhere and werent giving him a chance until he pushed savita to the corner.

Sulo was blamed bcoz she didnt support Manav n co even after the fight...incidents change your attitude towards people...that fight did it for Archu...it shud hav for sulo too

What in the world has Savita done for Archu that Archu is trying so hard to gain her good opinion ? It is pathetic that she is trying so hard to gain good opinion of a villainous person .

Yes, women who don't protest / fight public opinion when they are made targets encourage the subsequent oppression or harrassment of other women. Sitting back and accepting the bad things that happen to one only because one's in-laws stand to be affected is definitely not an indicator of virtue, only of weakness and horribly male-identified double standards.

Yes, I see TBizzle's point about sexiness. A woman can be the prettier of two but not necessarily the sexier. However, while some of this may be the result of clothes and make-up, in my opinion it has more to do with a general attitude. A woman who allows herself to be walked all over is weak and therefore unattractive in a particular way to men who don't want a milksop as a partner. By implication such a woman is not one who takes the initiative or is capable of assertiveness/ aggression in other areas of life too. Now this may or may not be a logical way to think, and I'm sure there must be all kinds of invisible exceptions to this rule, women who are meek in public but becomes tigresses in bed. But here too, Shravani has scored, because unlike Archana, who agreed to Savita's puja condition, when any normal young girl her age would have encouraged her husband to flout it, Shravani went ahead and slept with the man she loved then. And is making an effort to win the interest of the man she wants now, while Archana, who could win him back if she tried, is to "good" to do so. So in both ways then, Shravani would appear to be the more highly sexed of the two, even if I myself don't find her appearance particularly sexy, and I do think the Marathi dance number that Ankita did for the Antakashari finals was a total scorcher. See, there too, it wasn't only Ankita's (admittedly sexy nav-vari outfit and makeup) but also the situation in the song, where she had all these men eating out of her hand. It's in the mind much more than it's on the face or in one's clothes.

Edit: In this respect, Varsha comes across as the ideally balanced partner again (though of course time will verify this): she's not someone like Shravani who will allow her sexual needs to overtake her discretion, but also, unlike Archana, she is someone who will be less "virtuous" and more instinctive about the whole business.
