Yes this is toor dal .it is yellow .But if u go to Indian store look for the name on the packet as TOOR DAL . Coxz many other dals r yellow too ...moong dal , chana dal etc . Whenever you feel like making it pm me ill give u recipe

fifi here checking in..i went out to buy dinner and then went to visit my MIL...she misses my son a lot..he is her fav. g/child and also the last. i had a mixed meat singapore noodles and pepper shrimps, my daughter had chicken corn soup and the hubby had mixed meat lo mein also with pepper shrimps
